But I remember seeing a single mom reader x Optimus. And the reader’s kid was a teen, and I found it so funny.

But imagine if the kid was a bit younger, like 3-9. Idk about you or anyone else, but I was an absolute YAPPER! At that age. Like giving animal facts and everything, because I had just watched wild krats and the world MUST know that cheetah’s have their own emotional support dogs.

Imagine Optimus trying to bond with the baby because he likes reader, and he just chilling with the kiddo while reading through some stuff.

Kiddo: did you know manatees can’t be mean?

Optimus just trying to work: I didn’t.

Kiddo: did you now cow’s have best friends?

Optimus: that’s nice.

Kiddo: did you know-

Optimus debating his life choice: do I like them that much?… yes- (he’s whipped)

He would be so patient with his (though you don’t know it yet) adoptive kid. He listens to absolutely everything they tell him, and after every meeting, he walks away richer with fifty new facts about Earth’s flora and fauna. And thanks to his dedication to the child’s endless chatter, he’s bound to quickly earn the status of a cool alien father figure in their eyes <3

Imagine — one day, the kid brings him a drawing of Optimus, you, and themselves in the middle, just like kids often draw their families. Opti would definitely staple that drawing straight to his spark and think about it 24/7 <3
