How about Tenko?
All right time to educate peeps. Tenko says that her “master” (I find it gross that they use that term so I’m just calling him her mentor) raised and trained her with the ideas she holds to the present. It seems to be that this mentor of hers wanted her to distrust and antagonize all other men except for him, which is disgusting and means she was pretty much groomed into respecting this guy and the ideals he was teaching her. I’m also pretty sure she has been mistreated by men in the past as well, which makes her automatically have her guard up around them. (which, if I may add, is a very average state of being for a girl and the fact that the fandom hates on her so much is evident of the rampant misogyny here)
Raya, drunk as hell: I need to find a wife! *looks back and forth*
Namaari: *literally minding her business*
Raya, flinging herself on Namaari: there she is! Hi wife!
Namaari, blushing and catching Raya: hi, dep la
Raya: will you be my wife Namaari? You’re the only one I love so it makes sense! And then I can be your wife!
Namaari, sighing and nodding: alright, sure. We can be wives
Raya, spinning around happily: YAYYYYY NAMAARIS MY WIFE
Sisu, watching the whole thing from the sidelines: spirits they are both down so bad-
let’s meet again in the next life

this post got me thinking a while ago. but instead of angst, I just thought these two would not take each other seriously if it's how they first meet.

“And suddenly, the monster in him falls silent as he rests his head on her lap.”
