I’m sorry but please stop using AI.

Not only does it use other people’s work as base training (let’s not forget about the fact that C.AI creators have been taking fics to build up chat bots) it also like…destroys the environment.

They need computers capable of giving you quick responses and that generates heat and what cools things down? AC and water.

Genuinely go search it up it’s insane.

Stop using AI.

If you feel like you want to post and you’re like “oh but I don’t think I’m good enough” I sympathise I really do every writer friend I know has had that exact same experience but you’re never gonna get better if you don’t try.

You’re never gonna learn anything if you use AI so stop assisting big corporations in destroying the world and actually try.

If you feel scared about your actual writing if it’s any good or not I am so happy to beta it for you but please just try that’s all I’m asking.

I’ve supplied a couple of links so you know I’m talking bullshit but please do your own investigation <3

Some of you are operating under this weird white savior idea that you’re saving Palestinian culture by mass consuming Palestinian themed items without sensitivity or reason. You’re not saving Palestinian culture by mass buying kuffiyeh print scrunchies or doing Palestinian miku fanart - you preserve Palestinian culture by preserving Palestinians. Palestinians are going to be the ones preserving our culture, just as we have for decades before this escalation. Not you. Please take a step back and actually treat our customs and identity with respect, not just a thing you can take from.

the thing is that childhood doesn't just end when you turn 18 or when you turn 21. it's going to end dozens of times over. your childhood pet will die. actors you loved in movies you watched as a kid will die. your grandparents will die, and then your parents will die. it's going to end dozens and dozens of times and all you can do is let it. all you can do is stand in the middle of the grocery store and stare at freezers full of microwave pizza because you've suddenly been seized by the memory of what it felt like to have a pizza party on the last day of school before summer break. which is another ending in and of itself

This'll Be My Last Post For The Night. It Looks Bleak Right Now And It Feels Like The World Might End

this'll be my last post for the night. it looks bleak right now and it feels like the world might end and i do not blame you for feeling that way. i kind of feel like that too to be honest, but numbers are just numbers and land is just land. the results maps you're looking ar are not 100% accurate.

please please please just walk away from this. you'll wake up tomorrow and we'll all probably be crying, for good or bad reasons. i am begging you all to get away from the screen and sleep if you can because if you're starting to spiral then this is not good for you.

i sound like a broken record and i apologize but i repeat it because it's true: no matter how bleak it seems, no matter how badly this may or may not turn out, we can push through this. get some rest. wake up and keep living no matter what. i believe in you.

wake up and keep living. no. matter. what.

goodnight and good luck. sending my warmth out to all of you. <333

The problem is that America has beaten down its people for decades and gotten them weak and desperate and now promises a way out, a way to transcend and rise above, through selling out their fellow man. They encourage contempt and hatred as one way ticket to not being included with the masses being death marched to poverty or imprisonment or whatever other bitter end surely awaits the people they’re told are beneath them. An embarrassingly large chunk of white men are just straight up nazis these days as a way to dissociate from the rest of the carnage around them, even if they’re broke and uneducated and from an impoverished background themselves. They’ll vote for and align themselves with anything for a taste of power and control that makes them feel a little less helpless. The same goes for minorities. They’ll punch down if they think it’ll get them somewhere, even if in reality they’re punching sideways. I don’t know what else to say, really. Everybody is so incredibly hateful. We are a loveless, disrespectful nation. We are so spread thin by our government that we would sell each other out in a heartbeat for an ounce of relief. This is what we’ve come to.

It’s not even about Trump at this point. He’s gonna get in office and do whatever he does and it’s gonna be a mess but whatever. This is indicative of deeper problem. This is just the ugly consequence of the already present reality in this country that we all just despise each other. There is no solidarity and there is no love. Trump being in office or not doesn’t change the fact that America is a breeding ground for violent hatred. Trump has given people a shining example of how to give in to the worst parts of your human nature and make it the problem of everyone around them. I don’t even know what we’re supposed to do about that. I don’t know if that’s something we can come back from. And if anything COULD be done about it, Trump certainly wouldn’t do it. Honestly, Kamala probably wouldn’t have either. We are so deeply fucked.

However, I must say, if you voted for Trump, I hope that peace never finds you. Instead, I hope clarity strikes you someday like a clap of lightning and you have to live the rest of your life with the knowledge and guilt of what you’ve done and who you are as a person.

Love yall. Shit is so bleak but the world keeps spinning until it doesn’t, I guess. We can’t count on the government for literally even a shred of progress or hope so just keep up the good fight in your own personal lives. That’s literally the only thing to be done at this point. Stay safe out there. Maybe buy a gun.

Marcelat Sakobi of Democratic Republic of Congo, at the end of the women’s round of 32 boxing match against Uzbekistan's Sitora Turdibekova, made a strong gesture to raise awareness of the ongoing genocide in the DR Congo by placing her hand in front of her mouth and pointing two fingers at her temple.

Refaat Alareer, an academic and lecturer at the Islamic University of Gaza, was martyred along with his family in a targeted assassination carried out by the Israeli occupation on December 7th, 2023. We must continue to stand against this genocide.

i'm seeing people losing hope for palestine i'm begging you seriously please don't. the death toll is high but there are still people alive, there are still journalists risking everything to make sure the world sees what is happening. please continue protesting if you have the option to, keep demanding for a ceasefire and keep talking about palestinians both alive and dead. you have to keep going until the very end or else you really did fail them.

Israel has been making the population of Gaza evacuate to the South for the last month as they carpet bombed the North into dust (while also bombing the South every other day to mix things up). Most everyone had gone to Rafah as they had specified. With the ending of the truce on 1st December, they immediately began bombing the South. Yesterday they bombed Khan Younis, the Southwestern point of Gaza which was supposed to be safest, reducing eleven residential buildings to rubble. The new thousand families displaced have nowhere else to go.

The most popular and famous journalists who have been reporting from Gaza are now posting what feels like goodbyes.

Bisan posted:

[Screenshot of IG post. Photo of a curly haired young woman in a black hoodie, holding her camera phone far away enough to see the completely flattened buildings behind her. Her face is grim, drawn and pale.

Caption: I no longer have any hope of survival like I had at the beginning of this genocide, and I am certain that I will die in the next few weeks or maybe days. I have been sick with severe viral infection for days and cannot move from the mattress!
I suffer from nightmares that are so closely resemble reality that I no longer differentiate between reality and dream.
I live in a world other than the one I claimed to be building! I am a community activist who lived on the fantasy that the world was free and just, and I sought to bring rights not only to my people, but to many men and women in third world countries!
I was shocked that I was not from the third world! Indeed, we are the most humane and moral! Yes, because the world approves, supports, and finances the genocide we are being subjected to, legislates it, and gives reasons for for 58 days! While we are a people who have been living on occupied land for 75 years and are still searching for our rights and communicating our voice to the world!
My message to the world: You are not innocent of what is happening to us, you as governments or peoples that support Israel’s annihilation of my people. We will not forgive you, we will not forgive you, humanity will not forgive you, we will not forget, even if we die, the history will never forget .
A Message to friends: Thank you and the supporters around the world. You have been compassionate and very strong. We ask you not to lose hope, even if the world seems completely unfair and your efforts have not yet resulted in a ceasefire.

Saleh Aljafarawi posted:

Picture of himself wearing a press vest and phone in hand, standing among the rubble of Gaza.
Text:

Translation:

God bears witness that I am very tired and I am grieving over all my pain and all my fatigue because I know very well that many people take their strength from me and I must not be weak because Palestine wants me still, but I swear I have seen so many things that I cry every night before - I cannot sleep and to the point that I have nightmares to the point that I have 58 Day 2 I don’t know anything about my family and I don’t communicate with them. However, I continue to post, but it seems that the world has finished and will not respond. God willing, you will wake up when we are all annihilated and cease to exist.

Motaz Azaiza is arguably the most famous journalist in Gaza right now. The freelancer rocketed to popularity for his kindness, dogged good cheer, ability to find rays of hope amid constant disaster and death threats. Middle East GQ put on their cover while he was begging the international community for help as he covered Israel's atrocities and watched his friends die one after the other.

He posted hours ago:

Picture of Motaz Azaiza in his press jacket carrying his camera. The caption reads: "It's about life or death now. I did what I could. We are surrounded by Israeli tanks."
The block of text below in smaller font is in Arabic.

Translation:

"The stage of risking everything to bring you the news has ended, now begins the stage of trying to survive. I've brought you enough news, as god is my witness, in order to save my country. We are now facing an internal siege. We can't move north or south. Israeli tanks surround central Gaza on both the northern and southern ends. Our situation is more dire than you can imagine. Remember: we are not content for you to share. We are a people facing genocide, we are a cause attempting to stay alive, alone."

Plestia Alaqad reposted his story to her own Instagram and added:

Screen shot of IG caption.
byplestia: Rough translation of what @motaz_azaiza posted on his story..
FYI Gaza Strip is getting divided into 3 parts the north of Gaza, the middle area and Deer Al Baleh, and Khanyoonis and Rafah.. the movement is becoming nearly impossible, and of course there is no safe place and people just don’t know where to go.

alt included on all images.

No one who hasn't been following them understands how devastating this is to witness. They've become like family to all their millions of followers. The first thing I do every day is check if Hind, Motaz and Bisan are alive and ok. I'm not remotely exaggerating when I say these are the most heroic, indefatigable, determined people most of us have ever seen in our lives. I pity everyone who hasn't had the privilege to follow them. I don't believe in a God and yet the force of their faith has me praying that they survive too.

PLEASE SHARE THIS. VISIBILITY IS SURVIVAL.
