I saw a meme on my dash but the reblogs were way to long for me to reply... basically you list five things in your room and then people vote on what they'd steal
so here we go!!
reblog and add to this if wanted!!
I tag @voiceboss @regulusmasamune @squirreltastic @skxtchyghost @nixotinix @amor-godess-of-love
your cry of "they're totally gay!!!" is valid and i support you. what i will not tolerate is you implying the actions they took could only be motivated by romantic attraction instead of a deep bond of friendship
GUYS WHAT IF I SAID ODY AND TELEMACHUS??? WHAT IF I SAID THAT???
SPECIFICALLY AFTER THEY KILL THE SUITORS TOGETHER
In the Odyssey Telemachus is constantly told he is just like his father, people can tell he is Odysseus son just by looking at him. he is compared to his father.
He is just like his father, it is both his greatest strength and his biggest weakness. He is just like his father and maybe that is worse.

so uhh.... one piece star wars au. idk, I'm not even done with the first season but I got such strong mandokar vibes from zoro that I did a little screenshot redraw (I can't add the original scene because I literally paused my episode to draw this) and gave him the armor
he does have a helmet, however, he refuses to use it because three sword style.
Happy Easter!
so I've seen a couple posts about the 20th anniversary poster saying that crosshair was just looking away/didn't like his picture being taken
but have we considered instead that he's just looking at mayday
look at him, there's, like, no other reason for him to be looking up there unless he's stopping to look back at the brother who helped him finally see how terrible the empire was to the clones
well look who it is. my old friend. the conses of my quences.
I went to galaxycon last sunday for my birthday and got some stuff!!!
a crosshair helmet, several funko pops (couldn't find crosshair), and an insane amount of lego minifigs (including cody and crosshair)!!! I also got a lightsaber (!!!!), but I don't have a picture of that right now and I'm too lazy to get one
Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

expanding on this, I think polyphemus would actually be komari vosa. in canon, she was hurt and Fell because of galidraan, and dooku puts a bounty on her to chooses a template for the clones. she is a major turning point in jango's life and I feel like she should be that here as well.
I also think maybe polites should be silas (I don't have a solid idea of silas' character, correct me if this is super ooc).
basically:
jangobi meet and fall in love before jaster's death (maybe due to jaster meeting with the jedi to possibly form an alliance)
jaster dies, the alliance fails, but jangobi stay together. though, they are now mostly focused on studies (obi-wan) and leading (jango). they at some point get married (maybe on a joint mission that mace Definitely Didn't Set Up As A Date (he did, obi-wan was getting lonely due to boyfriend withdrawals))
galidraan (troy) happens, myles dies to the jedi there. jango does kill 6 of them bare-handed (like in canon), but he feels at least a tiny bit guilty because those are his husband's people (and maybe he keeps having nightmares that one of those dead jedi is his husband)
jango starts trying to make his way back to his husband with kal (eurylochus), silas (polites), and whoever else you decide managed to survive that. silas is trying to keep jango's spirits up despite the fact he just lost his best friend and a majority of their people.
first, he's faced with komari (polyphemus) he manages to trick and defeat her. this is where silas dies, of course.
dooku confronts him, asks him to take a job. kal urges against it, jango almost agrees but changed at the last second. they flee, and land on sheeka tull's (circe's) island. sheeka gives him the advice to jump through the outer rim or something to get dooku off his tail (idk, I didn't major in how star wars travel works).
while doing that, they meet fay (tiresias) who does the whole "you won't make it home (but a more broken version of you will)" bit that tiresias does. she also, away from jango, calls obi-wan and gives him updates on his man's wherabouts.
we're skipping over the sirens and scylla unless one of y'all has any ideas.
dooku manages to redirect him (and the remains of his crew) directly to kamino (calypso's island) where they make a bunch of clones of him.
jaster's force ghost, who has up until now just been facepalming at jango's every decision, goes to check on obi-wan. he finds out about his new grandkid (anakin/telemachus). palpatine is the suitors, but he is going after anakin instead of obi-wan (he may also be going after obi-wan though, idk).
meanwhile, jango contemplates suicide on calypso's island, where he has unwillingly acquired however many of the clones you want to imagine being part of this (the more, the better).
I'm not completely sure who hermes is (maybe quinlan on an undercover mission?) but they manage to help him escape with the rest of his crew and all the clones (again. the more, the better).
I'll figure out everything else later, I honestly got farther into this than I thought I would before running out of ideas, but zeus/helios' cows have me stumped.
I was listening to epic earlier and I can't get a star wars epic au out of my brain
like, jango as odysseus, obi-wan as penelope, Anakin takes the role of telemachus, myles is polites, polyphemus I wanna say is like dooku or someone (maybe poseidon as palpatine), and athena is jaster/jaster's ghost (might be ooc, I haven't read anything he's from)
jango would be aged down or whatever, but him and obi-wan meet pre-galidraan
i just think jango and odysseus are similar types of tragic where they started off these kings with loyal crews and then disaster struck and they became corrupted and singleminded focused on one thing (odysseus getting back to his family and jango his son/legacy)

New thing ig?
I've been fiddling with this on the buss. Once more, I'm not an expert, nor do I claim that I'm even correct lol. BUT! This is the rules I use for my own writing and I thought I'd share. It's very "laminated A3 in middle school classroom"-core if you know what I mean. Anyway, feedback is welcome!
[about my own oc, who i created] in theory its possible she would say that, but we just dont know for sure
anyone ask for crosshair with wings?
he's missing his right hand in the bottom right corner because I wanted to be canon accurate. no other reason....
(close-ups under the cut)
Oh Don't you let them take control Don't you let them break your soul It's not the devil at your door
It's just your shadow on the floor
(Tell me that you hate me, yeah I've heard it all before There's a life here for the taking Is it mine or is it yours
All I am is what you make me You're on both sides of the wall It's not the devil that you're facing It's your shadow on the floor)
Rex: How's it going with the new squad?
Echo:
as an aroace, im particularly dangerous, because i wont fuck or marry. i only know how to kill.
People said that Tumblr isn't a great place to post original art that isn't fanart, but I'm doing it anyway because I haven't got the motivation to draw anything else
from an aroace potato :)
soooo.... I was supposed to post more about my ocs. instead I went and got a wolverine obsession, but I've only watched the movies (so far!!). so here's a little something based on wolverine origins and that one star wars song.
i love sibling relationships especially when it's something like this. like, the way logan and victor had only each other for over a century (1845 to 1970s-ish) and logan seemed to be the rational one/moral compass for the most part (thinking about the scene in the plane with wade and how he left because he didn't wanna be involved in the killing of innocent people). and the pain that must've caused him to leave the only constant he's had since he was like, 13 years old or something.
and then the very Sibling way that victor joined that final battle against wade/project XI because "only I'm allowed to kill you."
i don’t actively ship scogan but as a human being with eyes the way scott fell into logan’s arms after jean “died” in x2 was gay asl
I’ve always personally headcanoned that if Mandalorians DID have certain stereotypical family/relationship roles it wouldn’t be anywhere close to gendered, like one person is the man and one person is the woman. It would be like, one person is the shield and one person is the sword. One is the guard and one is the hunter. The bigger and stronger of the two — traditionally, though obviously every marriage would be different and most wouldn’t conform exactly, especially with polyamory — might be the one to stay home and guard the kids and the clan. While the faster, more maneuverable and perhaps deadlier of the two went out and hunted, provided, initiated raids. A Mandalorian couple fighting together would be so dangerous for so many reasons but principally because if they’re both there it probably means you’re on their territory and both the guard and the hunter are after you, and now you’re seriously fucked.
"The Light Side being good and the Dark Side being evil has no nuance!"
Why though? Neither side is inherent, they're choices. Does a difficult choice between good and evil not sound nuanced to you? Does the choice between a painful path and the complete erasure of who you are no sound fucking nuanced to you?
The Dark and Light Sides are a binary choice between good and evil, and… that's great! The morals are simple, but the nuance is not in the basic and very simple morality (murder bad), it's in the circumstances that make adhering to your morals difficult.
Is Anakin Skywalker wanting to do good but not being able to because that would mean not having what he wants not nuanced to you?
Is Asajj Ventress —an assassin, a Sith Acolyte, a bounty hunter— letting a girl go because she doesn't want her to lose her family like Ventress did, even though that would cost her a lot of money she needs to survive not nuanced to you?
Is Dooku wanting to fix the corruption of the Republic and ending up being worse because he believes he knows best not nuanced to you?
Is Darth Vader choosing right for once in his life and becoming who his son needs him to be not nuanced to you?
Is Cal, Kanan, Obi-Wan and all other Order 66 survivors remaining good and kind when everything's against them not nuanced to you?
Is Luke seeing the good still left in Space Hitler and forgiving and loving his father the Sith Apprentice despite everything he's done not nuanced to you?
Is Finn choosing mercy and defiance of the First Order despite being kidnaped, indoctrinated and brainwashed by them not nuanced to you?
Is Rey being good and choosing not to let her bloodline define her not nuanced to you?
Is Ben Solo choosing evil despite everyone around him being good not nuanced to you?
Is Han Solo, a selfish man, choosing to go into a killzone to save his friends not nuanced to you?
Is Mace Windu commiting high treason to save the Republic regardless of what happens to him not nuanced to you?
Is Ezra Bridger being selfish and thinking of himself but choosing to be selfless when he realizes how much that means not nuanced to you?
If we go to Legends:
Is Jacen Solo becoming a monster because he wants to spare his daughter from a horrible fate not nuanced to you?
Is Jaina Solo killing her brother to save the galaxy not nuanced to you?
Is Cade Skywalker seeing the Force as a tool and being dragged into evil more and more not nuanced to you?
What does nuance mean to you anyways? Do you even know what that means or are you just trying to be edgy?
Flowers have a long history of symbolism that you can incorporate into your writing to give subtext.
Symbolism varies between cultures and customs, and these particular examples come from Victorian Era Britain. You'll find examples of this symbolism in many well-known novels of the era!

so! I did a thing over the past two weeks and drew all seven of my main ocs!
jaig first! he's got a partner named dul and two kids named noé (9 years old) and eidami (21 years old)! that is his strill that he named akaan who is a very good baby!! his sword was a gift from dul after he lost the old one being stupid. the sheath says "❤️mir'senaar❤️" which is a mando'a word I mashed together using mirsh (brain) and senaar (bird) to mean bird-brain.
aurebesh translations: the cans say "paint", the arrow pointing to him says "probably needs glasses", and the arrows pointing to his cups are "drinking water" (left) and "paint water" (right)
things to think about
