Style sobbing, Kant telling him it's going to be okay...
With the sequence of Fadel and Bison going through processing...
I can't!!!
I am not okay.
I think one of the funniest tgcf fanfic tropes is the different reunion type where Hua Cheng painstakingly searches every corner of the earth for hundreds of years, exhausting every resource imaginable, following every fraction of lead, but always inevitably comes up empty, only for Xie Lian to randomly walk right through the front door of paradise manor or fall from the sky or smth on a casual Sunday afternoon.
Then Hua Cheng turns or looks up, ready to disperse whoever just had the audacity, and comes face to face with the love of his life who was just dragged there by a magical bracelet or a gifted to him by cowardly gods or used as collateral in the gambling den or whatever other wild thing that would only happen to Xie Lian.
And the best part is when Xie Lian is getting ready to explain himself to the All Powerful Infamous Ghost King, but has to pause and wait as he notes the full-system malfunction that is clearly going on inside Hua Cheng’s head at the moment, judging by the look of pure shock/disbelief on his face lmao
Knowing a fic author through AO3 is like attending someone’s thesis presentation and politely clapping at the end, knowing a fic author through this hellsite is like going over to their house at 3AM to watch them eat mayonnaise out of a jar
Bitches love reblogging this post every Tuesday the 18th
Chen Yi + looking at Ai Di
Apothecary Diaries season 2 key visual
Maomao is living the dream of being the smartest person in the room, being in a political situation in wich you dont have enough power to have responsabilities but also you are powerful enough so people let you do wethever you want, girl with big tiddies love her, a pathetic man that looks like a girl is in love with her, she wears cute outfits time to time, she helps other women, she even has a cat now.
Maomao the character you are
If there's one thing I find quite fascinating as an OFTS enjoyer, it's the varying opinions we have about the show's characters.
Every single character has both shooters as well as critics, and there's not a single opinion that unites us all. Why? Well, it might just be because these characters are astonishingly realistic.
Take RayMew for instance, cause I've seen heated debates on both sides of this dynamic. Some argue that Mew is treading on thin ice by pursuing a relationship with Ray, knowing full well about his emotional volatility.
On the flip side, there are staunch defenders of Mew who insist that he's vulnerable, having been betrayed and cheated on, and Ray is capitalizing on that (just like Boston implied)! The opinions here are a muddied mess, much like the characters' feelings.
Then, there's Nick and Boston. I mean, most viewers find themselves sympathizing with Nick and harboring a deep dislike for Boston for obvious reasons.
But a good number of them also admit that Nick was wrong to record Boston without consent, and Boston has always been transparent about his feelings toward Nick.
Sand, who is mostly loved by all, isn't immune to scrutiny either. While many of us adore him, we can't deny his imperfections.
It's this multi-dimensional nature of the characters that makes discussing this show so exhilarating.
There are no definitive right or wrong takes when it comes to these characters; it's all about perspective.
It's about slipping into their shoes, understanding why they make the choices they do, and then looking at it from another character's standpoint, and understanding why they are criticized.
It's the realism that I enjoy so much. In the real world, most people aren't simply categorized as inherently good or evil; they're shaped by their experiences and personalities.
We all have those people in our lives who staunchly stand by us, no matter what, and those who will never understand us. The characters of Only Friends embody this human complexity to the fullest.
None of them are perfect, and that's precisely why we're drawn to them. They're beautifully flawed, just like real people.
What makes it so captivating for me isn't just following the story in the show. It's also diving into character discussions, hearing a spectrum of fan opinions, and embracing the diversity of viewpoints.
Personally, I appreciate both the criticisms and defenses for each character. It's this variety of perspectives that makes this show so fun to discuss.
Mao mao: I don’t believe in senseless violence.
Mao mao: I do however, believe in sensible and rational violence, in which the person in question definitely deserves it.
Taylor Swift should be studied. Here's a women who takes each and every one of her emotions, mistakes, triumphs and all other parts of her and makes music out of it, creating something beautiful out of her sorrows. And the whole world wait with baited breath to listen to what a women has to say. From being called over emotional and sentimental to emotionally listening to a album at 3am at the same time as the rest of the world, for once being proud to be vulnerable, connecting with millions of women and their experiences. Becoming one through music. It's so beautiful.
Poetry appeals to our base emotions and makes us week , fuck it Plato it only made us stronger. I don't know what I am writing but I am grateful for this even admist all the controversy surrounding her.
