Robert Altman’s movie M*A*S*H (1970) was released in theaters 55 years ago today! The anti-war, dark comedy set in the Korean War did better than expected at the box office, and it spawned the television series, M*A*S*H, that aired for 11 seasons on CBS.

A lot of the boys look up to you as a father figure. Do you get that feeling?

I know it's perfectly natural. That's what I think part of my duty as a commanding officer is.

To accept that, and to give it back in the best way that I can.
