The cast of the Original Trilogy had cliched, boring character concepts that were executed wonderfully enough for it not to matter.Â
The cast of the Prequel Trilogy had interesting concepts that were executed poorly enough to make them seem utterly stupid.Â
The cast of the Sequel Trilogy had amazing, thought-provoking concepts that were executed in the town square and put up on pikes as a warning to others.
Becca or Becks | author + fanby | all/any pronouns
Completely stealing this idea from @voidvulpine, but here is my intro post + one-stop shop for knowing who the hell you've stumbled across in the wild landscape of tumblr. I'm an author, a fanfic writer, a nerd about town, and I mostly use this space to reblog fandom angst and thirst traps.
Even Gods Need Miracles : Solas x Lavellan, Dragon Age: Inquisition era slow-burn romance
He possessed knowledge beyond any mortal, yet even the Dread Wolf could not foresee what it would mean to fall in love. He does not anticipate his connection with her. Mortal. Dalish. Not a drop of magic in her body save for his own anchor. But no one else can truly understand what it means to become a symbol quite like he does. And she, in turn, parts his layers, his trauma, his pain with gentle fingers and a curious mind. No good can come from the bond forming between them. It will likely be the ruin of them both.
When I Was Afraid to Want You : Rook x Lucanis, Dragon Age: The Veilguard slow-burn romance
It started with that coffee date...and then got immediately complicated from there. Because when you combine two disaster bisexuals who don't know how to communicate their feelings, what you get is an absolute mess. Starting from the almost-kiss and flashing back and forth in Rook and Lucanis's relationship over the course of Veilguard as they gradually try to get their shit together. More or less.
I've written a few. Some have even seen the light of day and appeared on bookshelves.

Unless you're a fascist. Or a Nazi. Or a TERF. Or a racist. If you're any of those, the door is behind you. Out you go; get wrecked.
This is a very personal take, but I absolutely hate the words "muscles" and "rippling" put next to each other. I know it's commonly used, I know muscles can ripple, but it squeeges me tf out to describe anyone's muscles as rippling under their skin like they've got an alien inside of them.
they need to invent the opposite of an nda called an fda where u have to tell everyone everything
Thought I'd try reblogging this, since Tumblr is being dumb about my posts not showing up in tags. If you've seen this already, please ignore, lol
SJ | late 20s | ao3 | 18+ blog
Glad to see you've found my little pocket of Tumblr. I thought it'd be nice to have a 'get to know me' post. I decided to create my blog so that I could connect to the communities I write for, share and appreciate art, and maybe throw out my thoughts from time to time. You can call me SJ or Vulpine, or if you point and say "hey, you", that works, too. I go by sapphirejournalist on ao3.
o Oh God, What the F*ck, and Other Tales - Inuyasha | SesshĹŤmaru/OC
o They Who Hunt - Baldur's Gate 3 | AU | Astarion/Tav (not yet posted)
o Currently working on a hate/fix-it fic for the series House of Night, because good gods, those books cause me rage

Unfortunately, while I write a lot, I tend to only focus on one story at a time. I really try not to start works I won't finish. I'm looking forward to posting more in the future, but I find it overwhelming to try and juggle posting multiple stories at once.
If you're interested, please always feel free to ask me about my works and characters! I'd to talk to any readers who have thoughts they'd like to share. In the meantime, thanks for dropping by, and have a lovely day/night

Today I am 42 -- officially the answer to life, the universe, and everything -- and I get to share this birthday with the release of CRITICAL ROLE: STORIES UNTOLD. Getting asked to contribute to this anthology has been a real career highlight and many many thanks to @criticalrole and Random House Worlds for the opportunity. If you're an audiobook person, the CR cast is narrating this anthology, so you know it'll be an incredible experience.
Happy release day to my fellow contributors. And to the Critical Role fandom, I hope you enjoy! đź’ś https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/760753/critical-role-vox-machina--stories-untold-by-critical-role-aabria-iyengar-rory-power-sarah-glenn-marsh-and-more-foreword-by-liam-obrien/
When you sit down to write, and the entire scene plays out perfectly in your mind, but on paper it ends up looking like this: “he smiled, his smiling eyes staring at them with a hint of smile”
an aroace, aro, or ace person saying “aro/ace people can still be in relationships and have sex”
non aro/ace person saying “aro/ace people can still be in relationships and have sex” (they’re about to use it to justify shipping/discriminating against aro/ace people)
