It's with a heavy but hopeful heart that I watch Palestinian families fundraiser on here, slowly accumulating the precious little money to go around that they need to survive. However, not everyone is so lucky. A lot of Palestinians that have not had that kind of luck, that did not get early verification, that did not get massive platforms behind them from large bloggers, have approached me in my inbox, asking me kindly to do what I can for them. It kills me that I have so little to give myself, but I've seen this platform collectively raise enough to change someone's life. I've made a list of Palestinian fundraisers that are extremely low on funds, in the hope that drawing attention to people who have not been lucky at all can help turn that luck around. I know most of us can't possibly give enough to get all of these families safe in one go. But please, reblog this list. Pick one or two fundraisers, give what you can, and then keep track of it. Palestinian tiktoker Medo Halimy was martyred yesterday. He was growing a garden and making "a day in the life" tiktoks while in Gaza. He was just 19 years old and now he's gone, but y'all wanna pretend that people wanting hard stances against genocide is some kind of moral superiority issue and not the fact that people are literally dying.

My name is Tala Nassar, I'm 17 years old from Gaza.
My mother is in critical medical condition. She was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in her left breast.
Her condition is indescribably serious, and her diagnosis worsens day by day. This situation has been exacerbated by the recent bombings and ground invasion of our area in Nusairat. Her condition has deteriorated further due to the toxic gases from bombs dropped just meters away from our home, and even from the smoke resulting from cooking over an open fire due to the lack of gas.
We have been displaced to the city of Rafah and are still living in makeshift tents, and she has not received any treatment since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza. The only cancer hospital in Gaza has been completely destroyed for a long time. Her weakened immune system and diabetes make matters worse, as finding any medication at the moment is impossible. We are incredibly afraid of the possibility of a malignant tumor or something worse occurring.
Please help us. We desperately need medical assistance for my mother, and time is running out for us. Your support can make a difference in saving her life.

there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than look a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.
a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.
if art gets better traction, then there’s an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.
within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gaza’s fundraiser. it’s a small effort in the grand scheme of things. it’s not a fix it. but it’s something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.

Urgent Request: Help Needed for My Mom’s Cancer Surgery
Dear everyone,
I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help in the face of an overwhelming challenge. For almost two years, my mom has been in a fierce battle against cancer, fighting with all her strength and courage. However, 15th of March brought devastating news: the cancer has spread to her cervix, and she urgently needs surgery.
The cost of the surgery is staggering, and despite our efforts to crowdfund, we've only managed to raise $45 in over two weeks. With nowhere else to turn, I'm faced with the difficult decision of parting with some of my mom's cherished plants, hoping to raise the funds needed for her treatment.
