many people also just want a refresher of the media cause to do the analysis, you need to remember certain details. not just that but sometimes the next book/movie/game/season/wtv else is released months/years later, and NOBODY can make me reread 5 thick books of the series or rewatch 100+ episodes again.

Dear video essay creators. A video analysis is when you analyze a piece of media. No no look at me. A summary, no matter how thorough, is not an analysis. An analysis requires you to draw conclusions about the media such as authorial intent, real-world parallels, discussion about themes/worldbuilding/character motivation, and so much more. You have to stop summarizing something and saying that’s analysis. The Gaylors are doing more critical analysis than you. Is that who you want to lose to? The gaylors?

Okay I JUST realized I never posted these on here—- BUT BASICALLY, about a year and a half ago I started doing these experimental black hairstyle posts that were threads long on Twitter, to give artists a source of inspo for their black ocs whose hair they wanted to try something new with! There’s more to black hair than just the selected styles portrayed in media, and I thought it would be fun to show people how much texture, shape, fades, length, and style can be combined when drawing black hair—-cause it’s a kind of manipulation our hair can do irl! Part 1: Long masc hairstyles + playing with fades

ykw i'm gonna add to this.

agent stone and mikey meet up regularly to exchange recipes and how they tweak it for their loved ones cause they have peculiar food quirks.

raph likes to tag along because he gets to try the new stuff they make.

leo likes to take the time to mess with g.u.n, especially director rockwell cause he doesn't like how she's quick to turn on anthropomorphic animals with powers (majority of his family falls in that description) and she's just fun to annoy. he does small pranks like moving her stuff around, making her trip up a bit every now and then, moved all her furniture an inch to the left.

they eventually do meet the wachowskis, and raph loves when maddie lets him tag along to her workplace to see the small animals. leo and mikey like to ask for rides on the cruiser from tom and ask about being a sheriff. donnie likes to compare notes with maddie about new physiology of life forms not studied as he had helped leo learn about their own mutant physique and maddie is basically on her own to figure out her own kids' biology. (tails had helped maddie out a bit but he's better at machines than people, and while donnie is better at plants than people in comparison, he does have really good points of how he went about with himself and his own brothers that help her a lot)

there was also that moment of-

"oh you're aliens too?"

"nah, we were turtles mutated with super soldier ooze created by a warring warrior scientist yokai who wanted to wage war against all humankind because of some prophecy he misinterpreted."

sonic and leo after seeing how much they have in common become pranking menaces and nobody is ever safe. raph and knuckles are sparring partners (duh) but knuckles does talk to mikey a lot about his tribe and mikey helps him work out some emotions. donnie and tails obviously talk shop but donnie does help tails feel reassured cause they both have things that make them think at times that maybe they're too different and need to make up for it somehow.

meeting splinter was. an experience.

"your dad is a rat?!"

splinter laughs and just goes "you're very much like my blue, furry blue"

in my head, splinter calls sonic, knuckles, and tails: furry blue, furry red, and furry yellow, respectively.

maddie and tom have talks with splinter about how it is raising boys with enough power and/or smarts to destroy the world if they wanted. tom was also a lou jitsu fan. arrive at any conclusions you wish but i know that at least is a fact, don't fight me on that.

i think i only want to see a rottmnt x sonic (live action) crossover because i would love to see donnie and robotnik meeting each other.

they would love to hate each other, is how at least i think it would go.

like i just imagine them seeing each other and their fight or flight instincts kicking it, and its immediately fight, but with knowledge.

honestly, i'd be scared but very intrigued of leaving rise!donnie, 12!donnie, entrapta, hatsume, tim drake, and tails in a lab together.

bruce wayne absolutely keeps every single drawing, card, and handmade gift his kids have ever given him. like, every single one. no matter how messy, weird, or even accidentally insulting (looking at you, jason’s “world’s okayest dad” mug from when he was thirteen), he keeps them all.

he has a drawer in his desk with the “important” ones—like the first time dick called him dad in a scribbled crayon card, or the weird but endearing origami bat tim made when he was sleep-deprived.

but the real collection? it’s in a reinforced, locked safe in the batcave.

alfred found out once when he caught bruce carefully putting away a pile of random childhood drawings. when asked why he had an entire safe dedicated to them, bruce just muttered something about “sentimental value” and refused to elaborate.

but really, he just can’t bear to part with them. his kids may not always say it, but those little gifts? they were proof that, in their own way, they loved him. and no matter how much time passed, no matter how rocky their relationships got, he never wanted to forget that.

years later, damian finds the safe.

he’s not even trying to snoop—he was looking for something important, something mission-critical, and instead, he finds this. a locked safe, hidden behind a shelf in the batcave, coded with one of bruce’s personal encryptions. naturally, he assumes it holds classified files, maybe contingency plans, or something worthy of all the security.

he hacks it in under five minutes.

when the door swings open, damian stares.

it’s not secret mission files. it’s not weapons or emergency cash. it’s… drawings? old birthday cards? a lopsided clay model of a bat (which he immediately recognizes as drake’s terrible handiwork)?

his eyes narrow as he pulls out a faded crayon drawing—one of his, from when he was younger. it’s him, a wobbly little stick figure, standing next to bruce in an oversized bat symbol. he vaguely remembers making it, but he definitely doesn’t remember bruce keeping it.

“tt.” he huffs, shoving it back in the safe. ridiculous. sentimental. pointless.

and yet…

when bruce walks into the cave later that night, he finds the safe locked again, nothing out of place—except for one new addition. a freshly drawn sketch, carefully folded and placed on top of the pile.

it’s of the whole family. him, grayson, todd, drake, cain—everyone. standing together.

bruce doesn’t say anything about it.

but the next morning, damian notices that his drawing isn’t in the safe anymore. it’s framed on bruce’s desk.
