I started thinking about this a lot recently, this thought came mainly from Vaggie. The way she expresses herself gives me an image that she sees herself as a weapon to be used by someone, she was created to be an exorcist angel, that is, to protect paradise and follow Adam's orders.
But we all know how that ended, and then she met Charlie. And guess what she did? She protected Charlie and followed what she believed in(but this time in a good way),a great parallel we have about this is between her and Carmilla, Carmilla creates weapons to be able to defend herself and protect her family and Vaggie uses herself as a weapon to be able to protect and maybe be used by Charlie(But of course Charlie would never use or see her like this)
Another example is Lute, who was created just to be another exorcist angel and to kill sinners, she follows this thought as her philosophy because she was created for to do this.
We can even put this in Lucifer, who shows obvious signs of depression after his fall, and I believe this came from the fact that they took away from him the only thing he did while he was an angel: Create.
Maybe the reason he loves ducks so much is because he created them, and now that heaven has forbidden him from doing the only thing he was made for, he is now just repeating his creation over and over again as a way to try to "continue" doing the job he was assigned.
Each angel was created only to be able to do a job and so they take that as a reason to live.
(But this is just my theory👍)

Some of you all are completely misunderstanding the second half, I am not downplaying the love Stolas has for Octavia, I am not saying that at all, what I am saying, is that Octavia is 100% going to think she was a 'obligation' when she finds out she was born to be a 'precautionary addition to the Goetia family'.

It's so important to me that Stolas got to make this choice.
Yes, he's dealing with a lot. He lost everything he had. But it was finally his choice.
Stolas never got to make choices for himself. He didn't get to choose the person he married. And he didn't get to choose to be a father.
As much as he deeply loves Octavia, it wasn't his choice (in any way) that she was born.
Stolas made his first real choice in life.
For all the consequences that choice brought, he chose love.

I loved that Octavia didn't forgive Stolas for what he did, because it's really realistic. and her song being practically a remake of "you will be okay" IT WAS SO GOOD! I still have faith that she and her father will make it through because I know what it's like to have a father like Stolas. And that it can be a little difficult to forgive someone like him, but with time and dedication it is possible, and that's why I hope they can be a "happy family" again. Another point I want to talk about is Andy, Stolas simply punched him and Octavia, A TEENAGER, managed to stop his attack. So my theory is that Andy and Stella are part of the weakest Asgoetias and that's why they are the way they are, they are always looking for power and using other people's emotions and their status to get what they want. and I loved the fact that Andy was a silly antagonist!
