bro i didnt expect to find u on tumblr but omggg ur fics are so great!!! i remember first reading little green apples and it fr had me in a chokehold i HAD to read it all in one night!!! romance literally isnt generally my first pick for reading but the plot, worldbuilding, and imagery was just so vivid and rich, it kept my interest until i actually got invested into the romance :D also ngl that fic was prolly the first time ive ever seen polyamory depicted in such a sweet and thoughtful way

but gawddd finally reading the ending of OP&J was so satisfying and i rlly enjoyed seeing ur writing style develop throughout the years!!

anyways all this to say u have a real one of a kind writing skill, idk what ur gonna write next but i rlly hope u have fun with it :D

oh my god this is so nice?????? i’m so glad you enjoyed them both!!!!!! honestly the biggest draw for me when i was writing green apples was trying to figure out symbolism details, and balancing metaphors and stuff? (im such a sucker for symbolism and im so glad i got to write it all because it super helped me progress ngl)

i wrote green apples after i wrote op&j, and it was my first ever romance, so the whole plot/worldbuilding over romance thing makes sense- that’s how i approached it too!

i seem to have a thing for spree writing, because i tossed OP&J out in the span of a month (may 2021) but it took me ages to edit it (and consequently, my editing reflected the change in my style lol)

but all this rambling to say: i am so glad you liked it!!! i am so glad you enjoyed them both and i hope whatever comes next you enjoy that too!!! thank you so much for the ask!!! (and all the compliments :)))))) )

16 y/o (current story line)

Best friends with Vik since they were kids

Hates Arista (and her girl cronies) with a burning passion

Likes: Rabbits, strawberry milk, grass, flowers, fairy lights, the color pink, fire, archery, basically any type of salad without steak and pork

Dislikes: Bears(in both senses of the word), apple pie, banana bread/pudding, steak, family tv & coming of age movies, pigs(also in both senses of the word), water/rain(he'll still play in it but it's just gloomy to him)

Viktor (Vik) Torian:

15 y/o

Best friends with Bunzy (it gets angsty as they go through school)

Is dating Arista even though she and Bunzy don't like each other (he's a sucker for women who're rude to him for some reason)

Likes: Wolfs, clouds, nature hikes, running shoes, lemon meringue pie, the color purple*, football and other messy sports, dogs, mud and dirt and bugs

Dislikes: Fruitcake, snakes, centipedes, cigarettes, half-hearted essays(courtesy of Bunzy), debating with groups of people instead of individuals (it gets messy), forced cultural practices, The Exorcist series

Arista Kayes:

15 y/o

Dating Vik, hates Bunzy with all of her guts

Likes: Foxes, Coffee Jelly(hello Saiki K fans), sharks, the color blue, study dates, debates(arguing), football, Lacrosse, sunrises, rain, giving orders

Dislikes: Mud and dirt and bugs, fairies(😶), frizzy hair, unkempt rooms, tornadoes, following orders, people who look at her too long, bad posture, people who don't follow orders

Caroline (Carry) Wakerman:

16 y/o

Fraternal twins with Sam, doesn't have many other close friends aside from Bunzy

Likes: birds and other aviary animals, dinosaurs, Chinese takeout, the color red, quiet research sessions, thunderstorms, wind, snow, chocolate cake, melted chocolate, cheese, flowers

Awww this is a sweet one. I guess I'd have to say I'm really proud of the way I've been able to inhabit different character's perspectives, even those who are very different from my own. In particular, I really enjoy writing the character Crosshair from The Bad Batch, and for those who know me, he and I couldn't have any more different of mindsets XD

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

Oddly enough, this was the hardest question for me to answer, because I've never given much of thought to what tropes I wouldn't write. In saying that, I don't think I'd ever write the "ugly duckling" story line (ie. all it takes is for her to remove her glasses and BAM he falls in love lol she was beautiful all along, who knew). I think it can be a fun trope if done right, but it's not what I enjoy writing myself.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

I think I'd have to say my long fic, "That Familiar, Yet Unfamiliar Feeling"! I just went through such an array of emotions, stages of motivation and whatnot for this fic. It's was the very first fanfic I ever wrote, so the journey to get it to a state worthy of posting was a crazy one at times.
