Explore the world, one post at a time
In my bedroom late last night, next to my phone's very lifeline, I discovered a mouse who lay half dead, adjacent to its perpetrator, my menace of a cat, Michigan. Its breaths were shallow, movement sparse, one of its legs crumpled helplessly beneath the poor creature. I carted it in a dust pan outside to lay it to a slow, painful rest on the forest floor, among its natural habitat. When I returned to my humble abode, I found Michigan staring at me soulessly, outraged that I had betrayed him in taking away his playmate. This afternoon, in virtually the same spot on my floor, next to my bed, I stumbled upon a gruesome scene. No blood, no viscera, just the top half of a mouse carcass, cleanly severed from its hindquarters with a near practiced precision. I, having locked him away with his food and litter for the day whilst out running errands with my dear mother, feared this to be a threat and still do as I pen this down. A search of the room has been conducted, and I can not locate this rodents rump. As a connoisseur of the feline mammal, I am to understand prey such as this is hunted for survival, and yet my own fur-coated son has never displayed such hunger for the living. I worry he has consumed part of this mouse, and, if not, an even more important concern would be pinpointing the bottom half, sealed off from sight, potentially staining the very carpet upon which I trot bare-footed. A concern of mine is that this once feral individual has returned to his primal status and may never again quench his thirst for violence.. for flesh... for a meal that may very soon be.. me.....
To whomever made cat litter bags,
I need to be able to open them, they need to be openable. Please stop with this weird rope thing I just want to clean my cat poop, my body is weak the estrogen has sapped my strength
im studying to become a veterinarian and we need to stop normalizing animal neglect as the norm this shits actually disgusting đ
KEEP YOUR CATS INSIDE!!!!!!
indoor cats live up to 20 years whilst outside cats typically only live till theyre 4-10!!!!!
STOP neglecting your cat.
and your âoutdoor catâ ISNT your cat. thats just a cat that comes to your house once in a while. they live outside because you refuse to actually care for them. dont be surprised if the cat never returns and hope and pray someone took them in and they didnt die a horrible and painful death like being hit by a car, dying of hypothermia/heat stroke, being taken by other ACTUAL wild animals because fun fact! theres no such thing as a wild version of the domesticated house cat! because they ARE DOMESTICATED. they are NOT meant to be outside. they ruin the environment and its very likely theyre going to die a horrible and painful death!!!
and to people saying that they cry because they want to go out i hope to god you dont have children and i donât even believe in god! because cats are mentally toddlers and i bet your ass wouldnât let a toddler go play in the fucking street just because theyâre crying because they want to. there ARE safe ways to bring your cats out such asâŚ
walks! bring your cat out on walks on leashes! if you have the space, time, and money then build a catio!
STOP putting your cats life in danger because youre fucking lazy. do not get a pet if you cant properly provide or care for them. i have zero empathy for people like that. if you cannot afford the time and money for a cat then do NOT GET ONE. surrender them to a shelter!! find someone else to give them to!! dont put your animal in danger just because you refuse to admit that youre a bad pet owner.
stop normalizing the neglect and abuse of cats. take care of your fucking cat and bring them inside where they are warm and safe.
You're gonna let somebody with an outside cat talk to you that way....?
My Kitya :)
