Thinking about writing a singer Yuu fic. Who sings sad songs about her past and stuff. Maybe they participate in the sing dance competition or something. Just been listening to sad songs and am feeling the angst. What do you guys think?

Centaur Fae yuu definitely Clacks as the fae/beastmen at nrc lol.

If you don’t know, young horses will make a clacking noise that is supposed to tell other horses that “I’m a baby, I’m not dominant” basically. So imagine like, someone pops up out of nowhere and they’re older and more powerful than them so they just start clacking.

Yuu as Edith, who got sent to twisted wonderland after exploring her old house.

Yuu, like in the game, is in early-mid pregnancy.

I'm going with Game theory’s Theory that most of the deaths were made up by Edie.

This yuu probably had no problem living in Ramshackle, given how unstable her old house was.

Yuu likes sitting under a tree and sketching her friends.

She didn't tell anyone she was pregnant until she was showing, but a few of the professors, beastmen, Lilia and Sam figured it out beforehand.

Have a quick doodle of a centaur fae child that I did at 3 in the morning while I’ll. it’s not that good and looks kinda childish lol but you get the concept. I imagine they started off as a mix of beastman and fae blood and became there own species

Imagine a scenario where Yuu is a changeling from their world, who was taken from their family and raised by a kind Fae mother who taught them everything she knows. A Yuu who now has a lot of physical resemblance to a Fae to the point they could be mistaken for a full Fae.

Now imagine Yuu arriving and malleus, Lilia and Crowley mistaking Yuu as a baby Fae due to their human age.

Malleus would probably be confused and probably a bit protective in an instinctual manner, expressing his concern in subtle ways such as inviting them to walk with him often so they don’t feel alone and perhaps giving advice on how to avoid Lilia’s cooking.

Lilia, as a father, probably goes into parental mode instantly. He already had the adoption papers prepared. Probably tricks you into signing them then takes you on ‘family bonding trips’ with him and silver.

They probably assume that the mirror can’t judge you as your baby Fae magic is too unstable, so practically force Crowley to allow you to stay in diasomnia.

Will probably do another post on this idea later on.

Before you went in, you looked at Grim, he was sound asleep, how lucky.

You heard footsteps, you turned around and saw a tall boy with fair skin, light-green hair slicked back with thick eyebrows and yellow-green eyes.

You're gonna be honest, he kind of intimidated you, but you just ignored him and went your way.

I walked into the Dorm Mirror's, expecting to be the only one there, but there was a human, with something that looked like a raccoon.

They turned around and looked at me, as if they were judging me, stupid human!

But before I could say anything they turned around and left.

You both were taken to the Nurse's office, You because you sprained your ankle, and Sebek because he bruised his arms and legs, because he took the fall.

You took a shower and dressed nicely, now you were heading to Diasomnia.

You made a full sized cake, chocolate flavoured to be exact.

A shiver went down your spine while walking to the dorm mirror's, it was quite a cold night, but you eventually made it.

'𝘗𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘚𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘢.. 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘯𝘪𝘢.' There was the mirror to Diasomnia, it looked quite plain, if you has to be honest.

You went inside and there greeted you a boy with silver hair and beautiful eyes.

"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘠𝘶𝘶? 𝘍𝘢𝘵𝘩-.. 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘧𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦." The boy said.

"𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦?"

You followed him to a castle.. Diasomnia is fancy but creepy.

Silver opened the door and there greeted you Lilia, with Sebek and a Horned fae.

"𝘠𝘶𝘶! 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴?" Lilia asked gesturing to the chocolate cake in your hands.

"𝘈𝘩, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰𝘰, 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘬𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥." Sebek looked at you as if you committed a crime, while the Fae looked a bit disgusted, Lilia looked at you with a weary smile and Silver just stared at you.

Meanwhile Sebek looked at the soup Lilia made, it was purple with a mix of green, it looked inedible, and smelled disgusting.

"𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢!" Silver looked annoyed, he nudged 𝘚𝘦𝘣𝘦𝘬 "𝘕𝘰𝘸'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘺 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘓𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘢, 𝘚𝘦𝘣𝘦𝘬."

But Sebek ignored him and ate Lilia's soup, poor boy's face turned green like his hair, but he somehow finished it, Lilia looked pleased.

"𝘏𝘮? 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘔𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘶𝘴?"

"𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.." Malleus just gave in and took a sip, and his frown deepened.

Meanwhile, Silver was enjoying your cake, happy that he didn't have to eat Lilia's cooking.

You just stared at the food, you were hungry, but boy did you loose your appetite.

Yeah Ramshackle is not in best condition for a child to live. But you were totally okay with it. The orphanage you are from wasn’t in good condition either.

As long as you could attend to NRC as a student you were okay with anything.

Studying… You didn’t like it. But you still studied for being a student in NRC.

“If I don’t study will they kick MC out? No. MC wants to study here and become a cool magician!”

Of course teachers at NRC tutored you. Yes you were a clever child but still you weren’t at the same level of NRC students.

“Mr. Crewel. Can I do magic like big brothers if I study hard?”

“It’s true that you don’t have any magic in your body. But who knows? Maybe you can do it. Besides you already know how to make few potions right? That alone is a big step for you. Your hard work is paying off. Good girl!”

“I am MC. I am a Ramshackle student! I am the only Ramshackle student actually. Ramshackle don’t have a uniform or bandage yet.”

“I see.” ( Is she staying at Ramshackle? But that place is… a total wreck. Is it okay for her to stay there?)

“Oh! Ramshackle might be in bad condition but MC loves staying here! There is really nice ghost friends in this dorm!”

“Is that so?” (She looks very young… Just how old is she?) “Say… child of a man. Aren’t you very young to be a NRC student?”

“MC is the youngest here yes. I am six years old.”

“MC. Don’t you get cold at nights? Especially in winter Twisted Wonderland is very cold. Are you sure you will be okay at that dorm? Did the principal do any renovations in that dorm?”

“No. But we have lots of blankets inside! So I think it should be okay!”

“This place is freezing. Aren’t you cold here little one?”

And that’s how you became a Diasomnia student.

Malleus has no idea how a child without magic ended up at this school.

“I see. In that case… I think there will be no problem if you adopt her. If she agrees with this of course.”

First Lilia talked to Silver about this.

Of course Silver doesn’t have any problem with Lilia adopting you.

After he got Silver’s approval he talked to you.

“MC. Can I talk to you for a while?”(I should ask her if she wants to become my daughter.)

there's an interesting historical reference to a poem (that is somewhat similar to the original sleeping beauty fairy tales) in diasomnia chapter 4 main story that i wanted to yap about

spoilers under the cut

I translated the Main Story Book 7 Chapter 4 Ep 63 (which is posted on my tl account over here) when it was first released, and looking back on it now, i realized that there's this part that hasn't been talked about(?) (or maybe i'm just out of the loop now LOL).

But basically there's this part where baul and lilia explains that they were going to 野ばら城 (which i translated as Wild Rose Castle) to deliver a message to Queen Maleanor, Malleus' mother.

If we break down the meaning of each character:

• "野" ("の/no") means "wild,"

• ばら ("bara") means "rose,"

• while "城" ("shiro") is just the word for "castle";

Thus, I translated 野ばら城 to 'Wild Rose Castle.'

HOWEVER. 野ばら on its own is also the Japanese translation of Goethe's poem, "Heidenröslein," which is a story about a young man who decides to pluck a small rose on the heath despite the rose's warning that she will stick him with her thorn. Here is a screenshot of a summary of the poem's text from its wiki page.

I think it's an extremely interesting choice on the Twst writers' end to choose this specific word as the name for Maleanor's castle since if you just wanted to search up an actual wild rose, you would have to type 野バラ instead (using the katakana バラ as it's the more common way to type the word 'rose' in Japanese).

Plus, taking into account the message behind Heidenröslein, I can't help but recall the actual Sleeping Beauty fairy tale AND the Maleficent (2014) movie. (Angelina Jolie herself said that Henry betraying Maleficent's trust and love just to take away her wings is like an allegory to rape).

What does it mean for Twst lore?

Well, nothing much, really. Since they never touched on this topic again after Silver and the guys left Lilia's dream 😔. We'll have to wait until Heartslabyul dreams are over until we get new lore drops related to Diasomnia, but I just found this as an interesting etymology that I wanted to share! It also just shows the detail that the writers put into writing the main story as they reference content somewhat related to the stories where the characters are twisted from.

When Fae Sleep on the Ceiling

Headcanon: He has slept upside down in the hallway and scared the shit out of a Diasomnia student, on more than one occasion. It may have been on purpose the second time.

Silence settled over Diasomnia, the only sounds coming from the crackling of the dim green torches and the clocks ticking away. Moonlight filtered in through the tall windows, casting soft shadows across the floor and grazing the faces of the students in their beds. Yes, 3 am in the dorm was as peaceful as it had always been-

“AAAAAAAAAGH.” Okay, maybe not. The frantic footsteps of a student echoed down the hallway, the student in question turning the corner at an alarming speed which sent them crashing into a corner table. Lilia watched incredolously as the boy picked himself up and continued his panicked sprint down the next hallway. The scream and flee-the-large-bat-thing routine didn’t come as much of a shock to him, this had happened several times before to a variety of jittery first years who were still adjusting to the spookyness of the dorm. It was the fact that they had sent the corner table into the afterlife in their attempt to get away from the sentient black lump hanging from the hallway ceiling that surprised him.

“Father, what are you doing.” Lilia turned his head and came face to face with a weary looking Silver. The cacophony of noises must have woken him up, an impressive feat. He would have to give kudos to that student later.

“Sleeping of course. What else would I be doing.” he chirped innocently. He gave the boy an upside down grin, which in turn received a suspicious look.

“Then why did I hear such a profound screech of terror?”

“Ah yes, that.” Lilia released an arm from his cape to make a wide gesture to the smashed corner table. “Evidently the mention of fae potentially sleeping in the hallway was missed during orientation again. Unfortunately this time an innocent life was taken.” Silver blinked at the pile of wood in surprise.

“Such a shame really. That corner table had so much life left to live.” Lilia raised a hand to his forehead, feigning a pained expression. “Alas, it met an untimely end this fair morning. We must grieve.”

“It is too early in the morning to be grieving for a table father.” Silver grumbled, exhaustion starting to creep up on him once again. “There are few people that would actually grieve a table in the first place-”

“NOOOOOOOO! TABLE-SAMA ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?” Insert jumping five feet in the air out of surprise. If the voice hadn’t already confirmed who was now very loudly mourning the table, the bright green hair sure did.

“WHO DID THIS TO YOU!? TABLE-SAMA ANSWER ME!”

“Sebek it is 3:10 in the morning tone it down!” Silver hissed, glaring down at the underclassman who was currently trying to sooth the pile of very much inanimate wood.

“I know its such a tragedy that the table had to leave us so soon.” Lilia piped up, adding to the hysterics that wracked the first year.

“WE MUST FIND WHO DID THIS TO THEM! THE TABLE WILL BE AVENGED!” Sebek cried. Both his arms shot into the air in anger holding seperate halves of one of the broken table legs. Silver groaned, softly facepalming while Lilia cackled loudly behind him. The commotion over the now pile of shards was so great that it drew the attention of more and more of the sleeping (was sleeping) students.

“Lilia, what is the meaning of all this noise.” Malleus questioned, letting out a yawn while striding closer to the crime scene. Lilia was wheezing so hard with laughter he couldn’t directly answer the horned fae, only pointing a shaking finger towards the hysterical man on the floor before falling back into uncontrollable laughter.

“I’m sorry Malleus I didn’t think this would get so out of hand-” Silver started, but was once again interrupted by a booming screech.

“TABLE-SAMA HAS BEEN KILLEEDDDDD!” Sebek cried, tears rolling down his face while he gestured his shaking hands to the broken table in front of him.

“Oh dear, it seems the vase on the table broke as well.” Malleus noted, crouching down to pick up some of the shattered white porcelain that littered the floor. “What a shame, I quite liked that vase.”

“Can we leave this matter for the morning, please.” Silver said exasperated, “We’re waking up the entirety of the dorm with this nonsense.” He gestured the hand not currently facepalming down the hallway, towards the several doors that had revealed confused and exhausted students staring directly at them.

“Ah yes, many apologies fellow students. Please go back to bed.” Malleus said, turning his head to address the growing crowd. The students turned back into their dorm rooms, grumbling about being woken up at such an ungodly hour of the morning before closing the door behind them. The fae turned back towards the wreckage, raising a hand towards it. Green magic rolled off his fingers like mist, curling around the pieces of the table and melding them together. Malleus watched as the vase put itself back together as well, setting itself down on the now fixed table with a thump.

“There, the matter has been dealt with.” He said, standing and brushing the remaining dust off of his nightclothes. “We shall find the student and have a talk with him about furniture etiquette first thing in the morning. I will be going back to bed now. Sleep well.” He offered a small smile towards the other three before turning to go back towards his room. Lilia was still trying to recover from his laughing fit, giggles still escaping him as he curled into himself.

“*sniff* Table-sama has been fixed! We must celebrate!”

“In the morning Sebek.”

“Yes I know that Silver.” Sebek snapped, wiping any remaining tears from his face. “Who in their right mind would celebrate a table being fixed at such early hours. Right then, see you in the morning.” Sebek shot up from his seated position on the floor, offering a curt nod and walking off like a solider in a marching band. It was as if he hadn’t just spent the better part of five minutes crying on the floor over a dismembered table.

“I will be heading to bed as well.” Silver yawned. “Please refrain from scaring more students tonight. We don’t need more broken furniture.”

“No promises.” Lilia wheezed, “If someone else gets scared I’ll warn them against smashing the table again.” Being too tired to respond, Silver opened the door to his room and walked inside.

“Good night father.” The door shut behind him, leaving the fae to his own devices. The rest of the night was relatively peaceful, the silence only being broken by the occasional giggling of the vice dormleader hanging from the ceiling. He was no doubt plotting who to 'accidentally' scare next, and if he was lucky, maybe he could get the unlucky victim to break something else.
