Last chapter of calicos kitchen. I didn’t explore as much as the background as I previously wanted to, but I think that should be left for my future fics of the human Octonauts.

i made another short chapter but i think i want the next one to be longer and like tell more about the characters in my au like their lives and stuff and how the Octonauts work in my au.
Human Tweak (She was a lot more buff in the drawing I did of her when she was younger that’s because as you get older it’s harder to maintain muscle,as well as in my au she is trans and when she was younger because of the time period that would have been she wouldn’t have been taking oestrogen (sp?) nevertheless I think I should have  draw her a wee bit more muscular or with a wee bit more fat on her )

“oi!” *smack*
“OWW!” Kwazii yelped as he leaped back rubbing the spot on his head we’re his granddad had hit him with a tea towel. “THE FUCK!”
“I’m cooking that for dinner.”Jack said taking the lump of char out of the oven
“I think it’s done.”
“Don’t be cheeky with me,i’m doing this for your boyfriend.” jack snapped
“Why do you want to kill Peso?”Kwazii narrowly dogged the tea towel that was flung at him.
“awk” jack scowled at him “I just thought i’d better reheat it before cutting it up.”
Kwazii skimmed the recipe that was displayed on the cracked iPad on the kitchen counter,it became clear what the mystery lump of char had once been, and why calico jack had insisted that they save the beef broth from Sunday’s roast.
“Good God please no.”Kwazii whispered in horror
“Oh don’t be a dick Kwazii,i think i’m a fairly decent cook,I made all your meals for you growing up and you lived.”
“Oh i lived.” Kwazii scoffed at the bar on the floor
“Kwazii i am perfectly capable of following a recipe.I just want to show peso that I accept him as part of the family.” He lingered on “family” and looked up at Kwazii questioning.
Kwazii stated back at him for a few seconds before it clicked what he was being asked “OH FOR FU- NO how many times do i have to tell you.”
“I’m just saying by the time i was your age i was married and i had had your father.”
“Granddad” Kwazii sighed exasperated “it’s too soon,besides peso is going to leave me if you give him that.”
“Don’t be stupid Kwazii why would he leave you over food?”
“Oh I don’t know ,You could accidentally call him Colombian BY MAKING A COLOMBIAN DISH!”
“This is chilean ajiaco.”Jack interrupted pointing at the recipe’s title on the screen “chilean ajiaco see.”
“ok well ,You could insult his country ,culture and cuisine with your cooking,or you could oh i don’t know kill him.”
“Just be quiet i’m making it and that’s that.”
This is my first time actually writing a fanfic.and🥳🥳 some actually story to go with all the info dumps about my au
Saw this and immediately thought of Kwazii being dramatic, I fell like he would get the dress out of nowhere in a cartoonishly fast quick change after the slightest inconvenience
Just some wholesome calico jack and kwazii stuff from my human au.
Calico jack and Kwazii are both conspiracy theorists , they mainly just believe in relatively tame stuff about aliens and ghosts but calico jack has some more out there beliefs about the government.They often sit together and watch conspiracy theorie YouTube documentaries together.
Calico jack moved in with kwazii when he was found and gets very lonely when kwazii is away for long periods of time for work, but he always pretends that he likes having the house to himself , kwazii knows that it’s just an act cuz of how clingy and doting calico jack is when he gets home.
Sometimes when they fight (very rarely do they fight) kwazii threatens to put calico jack in a care home.
They watch blue planet together.
When Peso comes over for dinner calico jack always attempts to make a traditional chilean dish.
I am writing my Kwazii post info dump thing next so i thought i’d share some aspects of his relationship with calico jack, cuz I’m not really going to talk too much about the little things like that in a relationship 
i’ll probably do more posts like this with the different characters in the future
shellington as a human
his hair was meant to be wavy, like in my first drawing of him, but I went a wee, bit crazy and accidentally made a curly 
nvm i’m not going to redo it but I think it just looks way better without the colour I think I’m just really bad with colour that’s why I hated it so much (just imagine I shared it in because I didn’t originally because I then coloured it)
I deleted barnacles at Zumba cuz it was awful and I hate it so I’m going to redo it but better

Octonauts human au part:5 Inkling (+info on the others)
Inkling:he is 73 and is a retired professor of marine biology. Inkling decided to travel once he finished university when he was 22,his travels quickly turned into research on endangered wildlife (water life?fish) and natural marine structures .His travels eventually brought him to china where met a cartographer named min after he got stuck in some bamboo (that’s as much as I know about how they mett season five is not available in my country)the tow began talking and quickly got involved, there was a bit of confusion on the nature of their relationship all internal until min broke the ice never being one to sit around and wait and they became a couple.They traveled all over china together mapping the landscapes and investigating the marine life for tow years.Inkling had stayed in china for fare longer than he had intended because he didn’t want to leave min but he had to go back to england, he proposed to min and asked her to return home with him but she declined as she still had work to do in china,but she still wanted to continue there relationship.Inkling returned home heart broken but had the comfort of letters from min.Inkling became a professor of marine biology when he was 26 he had dreamed and petitioned for a aquatic life research and preservation team to be assembled and to be based somewhere out at sea but was rejected numerous times till eventually he gave up.When he was 40 he met a young man in the navy at a pub who was fascinated with marine animals and there delicate eco systems,the young man by the the name of barnacles was fascinated to hear about inkling past attempts of developing a research and preservation team and greatly encouraged him to pursue it again.When inkling was 42 he became the prod fonder of the Octonauts after his petition finally passed as it had great support from the navy put he maintained his position as a professor at the university.His team started out small consisting of himself ,the young man in the navy and a girl from the USA called tweak who was a friend of barnacle who wanted to lend their inventions and mechanical expertise to his cause.When inkling was 60 he took a back seat handing the role of captain over to barnacles who he trusted most whith the position.When inkling was 63 he ran into a former student of his how seemed to be distressed so inkling bought him a drink his old student confided in him that he had got someone pregnant and that they we’re going to get married but she called of there engagement,inkling offered his prior student shellington some comfort .When inkling was 66 he suggested to barnacles that he should recruit shellington as a Octonaut as inkling was getting older and would need some extra help fulfilling his duties on the octopod.when inkling was 72 he was reunited with min and they were finally married.Inkling enjoys jigsaws and often dose them with peso and shellington (mainly shellington)he is shockingly good at ping pong and candy crush.inkling is has a grandfather-grandson relationship with tunip and is the one that looks after and entertains tunip when he is on the octopod.inkling is in a whellchair.he youes he/him pronouns and is an ally.He had to be educated on transgender people in his 40s when he met tweak as he didn’t know that they existed when he met her and he was very confused.

Octonauts human au part:4
Peso
Peso:he is 29 and is a doctor/medic (I looked it up There can be a difference but it depends on the context)He is in a relationship with Kwazii and he is from chile (chilean Antarctica )(I looked it up people live there in small towns)(apparently) (although I’m not the biggest fan of the us dub i do love chilean peso) He has a good relationship with all his siblings and is very protective of his little brother pinto and fells responsible for him as there dad left when pinto was a baby which led there mother to fall into a depression (also a wee bit of postpartum), pesos older siblings we’re both away at university so peso had to help his mum a lot with pinto .Peso loves his extended family but only really gets to see them all at once at weddings and funerals as there is so many of them (The struggle is real i can relate) peso studied medicine outside his home town but still in chile and never really traveled outside of chile at all until he joined the Octonauts when he was 28. He met Kwazii at a bar on a bar crawl with friends from uni to celebrate them passing their exams when he was 27,Kwazii offered him a position on the octopod and a date. peso agreed to go out with him but didn’t agree to join the Octonauts until the following year.Peso is a talented pianist and often used to play in bars and restaurants for some extra money when he was a student and still plays for the Octonauts entertainment occasionally.Peso doesn’t talk to his dad that often because he saw firsthand the effect him leaving did to him and the rest of his family and he still doesn’t fully forgive him for it but he has good communication with his mum and the rest of his family.Peso is very close with pretty much everyone on the octopod there a pretty tight net  group.He injoys jigsaw puzzles and often does big jigsaws with Shellington who also loves them he uses he/him pronouns and is gay.
Big thanks to @jibanyans-chocobar who unintentionally helped me a lot with we’re peso is from by their post I really hadn’t a notion before im remarkable shit at geography and i would have definitely fucked it up otherwise
Octonauts human au part:3
Tunip
Tunip: he is 10.when he was younger his dad would usually work for home but when he had to go in he would be left with his bio mum if she was available but it would be very rare that she could take him because of her job so he would most often be left with his grandparents or his aunt pearl.When tunip started to get older his dad started bringing him into work usually for weeks at a time due to the location(ya know the sea).Because of Tunips unusual circumstances he was allowed to take classes online and be parshaly homeschooled by professor inkling during the weeks his dad had to be on the octopod.Tunip loves being on the octopod but because he is almost never in school Tunip started to become quite isolated which is very difficult for him as he is naturally very sociable (he gets it from dashi and his bio mum) so when he’s not on the octopod his parents schedule as many play dates with his school friends(the other vegimals)(-tomonnow because he hasn’t met them yet) as they can.Tunip is very proud that 2 of his parents are octonauts he often comes home with stories from their adventures that he tells his friends his friends love these stories and now there favourite game to play is the octonauts.Tunip and his bio mum have a fairly good relationship they aren’t as close as they would like to be because tunips bio mum has to travel around a lot for work but when she is home she spends as much time with Tunip as possible.She often takes him out for fancy lunches and dinners and always brings him back something from the place she had to travel to.Tunip loves his dad and loves dashi and is used to calling her mum cuz she’s been around since he was a toddler.Dashi is the one who taught him how to cook.He is on good terms with all the octonauts especially dashi and shellington (cuz they’re his parents) and professor inking (as he spends the most time with him besides his parents)Tunip is very friendly,brave and a natural leader he loves cooking,baking and ping pong.

Tracker as a human. look i’m not going to lie i was originally trying to draw shellington but it started to look like nothing i imagined so halfway through i started to draw tracker instead cuz he kinda looked like a teenager and i head cannon tracker to be like 19 in above and beyond (which i’m actually still not finished watching cuz i REFUSED to watch it for ages when i found out it existed)
 Palestinian people are in desperate need of aid and donations.I realise people have become weary of donating to go found mes as they are afraid of getting scammed which is unfortunately a real risk.If you are one of these people that have decided to take advantage of the slaughter of thousands of innocent men,women and children by setting up fake accounts and pretending to be a palestinian person in need of aid and assistance in helping them and or their family escape into Egypt PLEASE STOP Palestinian genocide is not something that you should be trying to profit from.Palestinians are really people in need of as much help as they can possibly get.If you set up fake go found mes you are taking away aid from real Palestinians who are more often than not children.By setting up fake account and go found mes you are aiding in the torture,humiliation and murder of countless innocent people.So if you are one of these people please take down your accounts and go fund mes and donate any money you have made off of these scams to real Palestinians.It is not to late to regain some of your humanity.

Octonauts human au part:2 Dashi
Dashi:she is 35 and is tunips step mother she is a photographer as well as a IT expert and is married to shellington. she is native Hawaiian but was born and raised in Australia and has an Australian accent (cuz y would i change her accent it suits her *cough* us dub *cough*) she has a small tattoo of a stingray on her arm(cuz i said so it’s my au not yours shut up)she has always been active and sporty she’s still an amazing surfer and was on a volleyball team in both high school and university.she always had a relatively decent relationship with tunips bio mum but one night over a bottle of wine they became sort of friends they text and occasionally go out for lunch,coffee or a few drinks when tunips bio mum drops them of after their weekend with them.Dashi often takes her little sister out on trips to bond with her and to help her parents out as they had Koshi later on in life (koshi was a wee accident) Dashi and tunip have a great relationship since Dashi has been in tunips life since they were a toddler.Dashi was the one who taught tunip how to cook and they often cook dinner together.Dashi joined the octonauts as there IT specialists and photographer when she was 28 this is we’re she met shellington and they quickly started dating they got engaged after 4years and married after 5. She is naturally very close with Tweak as she is the only other woman and peso because deal with it (as if it were a bad thing) She likes comic books and manga (cuz i fell like she would) and she loves the beach as well as the occasional drop of wine.she is very out going and finds it easy to make friends.she uses she/her pronouns and is an ally

ps:u can’t be made that i made him mostly bald cuz surprise, surprise most men go bald in the end.he’s an old man he’s not going to have a full head of hair.
Octonauts human AU part :1 Shellington
 Shellington : he is 37 and tunip is his child from a previous relationship (having all the vegemals be his kids wouldn’t make any sense.) he is a marine biologist and is married to dashi.he is still Scottish (cuz y would i change that what would be the point.)He has had his drivers licence revoked and has spent the last couple years taking and falling driving tests.The only reason he passed the first time is because the person who was testing him was quite old and didn’t realise how bad he was at driving.He met his ex (Tunips bio mum) at university they became friends but didn’t start dating for a few year’s . they dated for a couple of years before she became pregnant with Tunip when they were around 27-28 They immediately got engaged however she had a change of heart and called it of (breaking up with shellington) they now share custody and she usual gets tunip on weekends but she travels around a lot for work.Shellington met dashi when he was put on the octonauts research team when he was 30 they quickly started dating and got engaged after 4 years and married after 5. Shellington is a terrible cook and once set of the fire alarm trying to boil an egg (true story about my friends brother)He is usually quite quiet and shy but he has no bother talking to people he is comfortable around.Shellington is very close with professor Inkling who actually used to be one of his professors at university.He’s still allergic to red urchins (because that is fucking hysterical) He uses he/him pronouns and is bisexual and he enjoys jigsaw puzzles.
sorry, if I misspelt anything or punctuation doesn’t make sense, I have dyslexia and voice to text can only do so much. if I think of anything else to add in the future, I’ll just make a part two for him.  and I’ll be making wee posts like this for all the characters. 
calico jack as a human (still raging he wasn’t a calico in the show despite being called CALICO jack like i understand y they decided not to but it still annoys me slightly. wasted opportunity is all i’m saying)
