Explore the world, one post at a time
That's how that scene went, right?
Saw a post from @venus-de-mil0-09that that said: Morpherine as that one scene from 'How to Train your dragon 2' and omg I couldn't NOT draw it.
IT FITS THEM SO PERFECTLY AAAAAAAAAHHH!

Scene in question
What’s more wrong? That I, too, wished to be great, or my mother wished she’d had a son.
I made a tier list with all morph characters designs I could find!! Sadly I don't have a good pic of evil morph in the manga...
My opinions below lmao
BTW I love all morphs (not very equally) and this is just for fun lol
I'm also a Sonic fan so being nitpicky is in my blood. Sorry...
I prefer dark blue hair for them but brown is alright, I feel it looks more generic tho
The stupid ass bowl cut they sometimes have is so funny but does NOT work for me
Manga Morph is absolute PEAK they look really really cute
Morph in the comics post 2000s feels a lil like budget deadpool and I'm not a huge fan of them (more personality wise than design wise) I Haven't properly sat down and read them tho so I could change my mind
Blank face morph works specifically in 97 for me bc the expressions are just. So on point. Would be way lower if it was in a different/lower budget animation style
97's evil morph doesn't quite hit for me but I'm watching in order and haven't gotten to 97 so maybe they'll look better in motion? Idk
The fact that morph's design was so inconsistent just in the og animated show is really funny to me tho. I like to think that morph just decided to make their hair brown. Then bowl cut. Have a lil change. It's honestly really charming and I wouldn't have it any other way!!
x-men sillies…

My take on Morph as Pestilence from the four horsemen of Apocalypse fan theory!
Full explanation of my take under the cut :3
So, there's this theory for season two of X-Men 97 where all of the X-Men who weren't seen in the final scene of episode 10 are recruited by Apocalypse as his 4 horseman, Gambit as death, Wolverine as war, Storm as Famine, and yeah, Morph as Pestilence. I subscribe to this theory mostly because it's an excuse to get Gambit back, but OMG THE POTENTIAL DRAMA? It would be so interesting.
This is my theory for Morph: Since Morph's mind has already been basically shattered into pieces by Sinister, Apocalypse's mind control wouldn't work the same way as it would for others. Much like how Sinister's control heightened certain impulses and weakened others, Apocalypse's control would not only lead to Morph disregarding their morals but also the expectations of society. They don't care what you think about them committing murder, neither do they care about what you think about them doing it in a dress. This would lead to Morph realizing these things about themselves that they have repressed as well as introduce the of whether or not these parts of their identity is morally wrong or if they were an unrelated effect. The rest of team could help them see that being themself doesn't make them a monster, it's the villains who hurt and take advantage of them who are the monsters.
Purely design wise, I picture them in a long flowing green dress and dark red makeup that hint to the death and decay that come from their new powers. They have a crown made of dead flowers and horns of deceased animals. They openly show their dissection scars from Sinister as a statement that they don't care what society wants them to hide. Their fingertips are black as any touch will give the subject of contact a disease, whether it be a flower or an X-Man. If you made it this far, thank you so much! Sorry for all the writing.
(Also, I swear the reference pic was more menacing, but I couldn't draw Morph without sass)
If you’re still taking requests, would you have any interest in drawing Wolvie being pals with Morph & Nightcrawler? Your X-Men art is too cute for this world btw 🥰
I mostly did this just to force myself to stop obsessively drawing Gamboi.
hes like babygirl
Have some og sad Morph too for good measures
For some reason, I have this butt load of screenshots of sad Morph, and they look adorable as heck, so have some photos of a sad boi.
X-Men TAS: Courage
While I really appreciate that they tried a “Morph comes back episode,” probably to quiet any fans like me going, “Where’s Morph? It’s been like, 2 seasons!” it’s weird to me that Morph’s big issue to deal with is “Fear of Sentinels,” not “Dissociative Identity Disorder, guilt and self-loathing over their actions towards their team-mates, and the lingering trauma of the long-term physical and psychological abuse inflicted by Sinister.”
It’s pretty understandable that Morph would now have a fear response to giant robots that literally killed them, which their shape-shifter powers aren’t super effective against, but everything that Sinister did was so much worse, and probably inflicted significantly more damage. I’m just going to assume that most of Morph’s time on Muir Island was dealing with all that, whereas the PTSD from their death wasn’t as obvious until they actually encountered Sentinels in the field again.
Of course, the simpler, more obvious explanation is that “Morph gets over their fear of Sentinels” is much easier to write as a plot to a half-hour kids cartoon than “Morph deals with the absolute mess of fucked up shit that Sinister put them through.”
Honestly all versions of Morph/Changeling are really interesting i hope we can get more canon of him in any of the universes
I think it’s very interesting, as I kinda mentioned in my last post, that Changeling seems to be much older than his AU counterparts. When we seem him as Changeling and once out of uniform, he seems to be at least Xavier’s age or older:
TAS series Morph sometimes looks older:
Probably because they were modeled off Changeling, but the animation isn’t consistent, and they sometimes look younger:
TAS Morph’s voice and overall personality also seem younger, and Wolverine calls them “kid” a couple of times, so I generally assume that they are supposed to be somewhere vaguely in their twenties like most of the other adult X-Men.
AoA Morph doesn’t have a clear age, although the characters acknowledge that he was previously Changeling. And Exiles Morph gets his age retconned all the way back to being a teenager alongside the New Mutants:
Given that we have AU’s where Avalanche and Toad are teenagers named Lance Alvers and Todd Tolensky, and we have a hilariously young Sebastian Shaw in the X-Campus universe, it’s not unheard of for alternate universe counterparts to have wildly different ages. 616 Changeling might just be the Kevin Sidney whose parents had him earlier.
But I have a kind of wild idea (not even really a headcanon), that maybe Changeling was, like the original idea for Mr. Sinister, a young shape-shifter pretending to be much older. Like he was playing-acting as a super-villain. It would also explain why he turned heroic so quickly, if he was basically a teenager going through a villain phase. Changeling put on a goofy purple helmet and joined a terrorist group the same way other teens listen to MCR and put on lots of eyeliner. It would also be completely on-brand for Xavier to read all that in Changeling’s mind, and be like, “Well, we don’t have time to unpack all that. Get in the chair and pretend to be me, I’ll be in the basement.”
That was gorgeous i'm tearing up
I have posted a little bit about this before, but I finally read some very old X-Men issues to learn the brief history of the Changeling, the character who got retooled into Morph my beloved.

Hope you like it! Happy holidays @doesthemoonhaveeyes
Thank you for organizing this awesome event @morpherineholidayexchange2024
Thems is a pon now :3
A show accurate/disguise form that Morph chose vs the "real" look (reformed changelings was an obvious choice).
Liek and subscrib 4 mor(ph)
Something small for the Morpherine community because I love this ship sm...
1. Top left: Sweet "friend" moment before they actually got together.
2. Bottom left: Angst cuz I'm a sucker for angsty scenarios. I imagine that like the scene from the end of ep. 10 and what actually happens after they get sent through time.
3. Top right: Morph making the first move... very cautiously.
4. Bottom right: Sad boio, somebody give him a warm blanket and a boyfriend to hug!
5: Middle: Wolverine walking outside with Morph-dog! Cuz at least now the public won't give them weird looks.
What X Men Autism does to a motherfucker.
This started as just a joke and then I had to find shitty doodles to draw everyone as.
Also I know no one knows the character in the right hand corner, say hi to my oc Haunter/Serenity everyone :3!!! OC X CANON STRIKES AGAIN.
