I can't stop thinking about this now, but yknow how theres been things saying they might give Peter Parker a new love interest in the new movie?
WHAT IF IT'S NOAH???
Like he could only get gay roles đ
His as Harry Osborn would be sooooo interesting
What sort of projects do you think Finn and Noah will do after stranger things? I love to see Finn get involved with music again and Noah to get a big role like marvel or something your thoughts?
I would also love to see Finn back in music! Iâm also hoping to see him direct more stuff because i know how passionate he is about that and i feel like he can come up with some amazing ideas. As for Noah, it would be wonderful to see him involved in the marvel universe!! Or just any big project to be honest. Aside from that, I really want him to go back on tiktok because i swear his content was the highlight of 2020 for me and i miss it allot!!!!!
Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but my point was that Noah isn't a Zionist. And no, I don't think being extremist in any direction is good. I'm not saying you have to like Noah or can't have a nuanced opinion. I'm just tired of seeing people insinuate he is a Zionist and further spread misinformation when he's talked about his stance and how he isn't a Zionist.
... uhhhh sorry gang I'm kinda in a defensive mood rn def mb
and while I agree that his stance is nuanced to his perspective, and I am using the term Zionist more colloquially where I personally define it as a defender of Israel and the harm they're responsible for. I personally believe that him supporting the Israeli state, even if he feels empathy for the victims, even if he has a Palestinian friend, I feel discouraged because he hasn't denounced the actions taken by Israel or the states behaviours that led to the rebellion.
I also believe he can be a good person to his friends, his fans, and those around him while still having this point of view. I denounce Zionism, and I really hope he can educate himself further as I've seen that he can change his opinion with more info and empathy.
they are ugly though. there is no way they didn't know schapp is a zionist. he gets part of the proceeds from those photo ops--they chose to put money in the pocket of a genocide supporter. they prioritized their love of a fictional ship over the lives of real people. they're like people who still insist on being harry potter fans. they're selfish and they have blood on their hands.
I don't know how to change your opinion, but what I can share is my world view.
EVERYONE BELIEVES THEY ARE A GOOD PERSON OR IS TRYING TO BE A BETTER PERSON THAN THEY ARE NOW
ig the reason I'm even responding is because I feel like nuance is being lost, I believe that just because not everyone is living their life always making every decision based off of Palestine doesn't make them a bad person. That's who this is about, I can have as much of a nuanced opinion of Noah Schnapp as I want, but those two people who are being insulted? they didn't ask for that.
If your first question to people is, do you support genocide? and not something like what tv shows do you like? maybe it's less about defending a VERY IMPORTANT LIFE SHATTERING GENOCIDE and more about feeling morally superior than people because they like a gay ship in fandom.
And yes maybe it is selfish, but everyone seeks self fulfillment first and foremost after any other basic needs, why doesnt every Zionist donate all their money to Israel? why doesn't every Palestine supporter donate all their income to Gaza? why is that money more important than the billions going to Israel for more weapons that could be going to Gaza for humanitarian aid instead? Like I said we should call out these behaviors but we should also try and educate rather than insult, and focus on where there needs to be an impact most. Which I can assure you is not the st fandom.
How much can one person do? Harm, help, doesn't matter, if they aren't a part of something bigger than themselves, nothing. Supporting a group as an individual brings about a sense of community, so being in a community can become supporting a particular group. If you are influenced by certain communities the things you believe in are gonna be different.
A good person supports their community right? If your community is yelling and screaming that an injustice was done against them wouldn't you support them? They wouldn't LIE or have other motivations.
This isn't an excuse for anyone's opinions, everyone is their own person who could educate themselves.
also I won't say that Schnapp doesn't deserve to be paid (???) for the work he does? You could be anything and you should still be able to be paid for your labor no matter your opinions.
I feel you need to read hawkins-batman pinned post here on tumblr because you do not seem to be fully up to date with the Noah situation. That or you're are trying to frame yourself as "in the middle" to avoid conflict and criticism.
Hi! I have read that post (its actually what made me aware of this controversy in the first place). I understand that he is a human being that doesn't deserve death threats and harassment. I also understand that A LOT of people have taken their hate campaign too far. BUT I will NEVER defend someone who supports Zionism on that opinion. What I will defend are random people online who don't asked to be insulted just because they support and are excited about a ship in fandom.
I will also try to be real with people that this behavior? It isn't helping anyone, it makes Israel defenders double down, and those who are anti-palestine have reasons to defame those trying to actually make a difference. NOT SAYING WE SHOULDN'T CALL PEOPLE OUT, BUT HAVE CONSTRUCTIVE CONVERSATIONS INSTEAD! INSULTING PEOPLE ISN'T HELPING?!
Not to be a downer on the byler tag but I feel conflicted now that I'm back on st twitter
FIRST I don't want this whole post to be a rehash of the Noah controversy it's always a rinse and repeat of the same points. Yes, Zionism is bad (DUH) but I feel like we can seperate silly little gay characters from the actors, it's commonplace.
BUT I will say that death threats, threats of physical harm, or insults don't help. Those behaviors only cause defensiveness and if you want to change someone's opinion you have to be understanding. Everyone is shaped by their environment and if I was exposed to different influences growing up I'd be a totally different person today, not to say that people can't control their own decisions, but social pressure and ingrained prejudice is very real. Not everyone has the courage to become a social pariah, PLUS everyone believes they are a good person. That they are the one that is morally righteous, in any situation. It can make them blind to the truth, but you can't change that in one day.
EVERYONE WANTS TO BE A GOOD PERSON.
SECOND and the point I actually wanted to make is that I'm sorry but people will always be consumers, and you can't decide how they will spend their money, but do you think going to a con bc you like a tv show and ALL the amazing people in it is the same as openly supporting a genocide?!?? Like why direct all your (valid) frustration with the state of how people view palestinians onto 2 girls who are just there bc they like a ship in fandom??
Also I'll never understand the need to be mean to people online can't we all just be normal đ
Like even if I know someone has opinions I am vehemently against I'm still cordial with them unless they bring it up, like I don't try to insult anyone but CEO's, billionaires, and those who sustain global war campaigns. Not anybody online who has an incorrect or even sometimes so disgustingly uninformed opinion. OR ARE JUST THERE TO DO SOMETHING THEY ENJOY LIKE????
Idk this was a ramble but I hate this, I understand that more people need to be aware of the horrible inhumane things continuing to occur in gaza, but this almost feels counterproductive, why use it as a reason to call people (who didn't even bring it into the conversation) ugly? The movement is all about SUPPORT and BRINGING AWARENESS is this the kind of awareness we need? where we call anyone ignoring or uncaring towards this massacre ugly when instead we could educate? Not to say we shouldn't call people out but be constructive! Help them understand instead of telling them to kill themselves, this feels like it isn't helping.
Thank you for listening to my tedTALK byler nation
I'm so fed up w these people on Twitter like bffr
âthey really need to put a warning for those kinds of people on [piece of media]â like, karen. honey. you are watching a show/movie with finn wolfhard in it. with a male âbest friendâ and a squad of losers. in the 80s.
Sometimes I wish that the Duffers hadnât managed to cast an amazing group of actors for ST so that it would be easier to see how abysmal at worst and mediocre at best the show really is.
Literally all of the most beloved moments, lines, and changes to characters/storylines are due to the actorsâ improvisations and suggestions.
âi dump your assâ

Say goodbye to noah.
The duffers are gonna trap him in the deepest containment room in area 51

I still can't believe I managed to complete this edit of mine on Byler, but I'm very proud of it. I know it's not perfect on some points but I'm still proud đ¤
Ooohh I just realised/noticed Will fidgeting with the cuffs of his jeans is actually a Noah thing
finn manspreading and giving everyone else little space is so fucking funny
unhinged things my professor says: you should contact finn and noah and send them that gay wizard and knight comic you made about them
That man has plans. Byler related plans.
I saw this pic for the first time today, I don't know why I like it so much, it is so dramatic!
Youâre the Heart
Yea?
Yea.
Willâs tragic âunrequitedâ love for Mike is very funny apparently. Unless itâs not unrequited at all. đŤ˘
