The HTTYD universe's ecosystem must've been so damaged when all the dragons dissappeared.
"but people wanted to hurt them!" people want to hurt wolves to, but we don't send them all to an isolated cave because it would destroy the ecosystem.
In fact, "dragon" is just a collective word for multiple species so they really fucked themselves with that one.
In conclusion, the third movie was stupid.

I'm a bit worried about the CoS redesign polls...
They're going to be redesigning two of my favourite creatures (Flixlit and Nymphasuchus), as well as some others, and at least one of the poll options for each would make me hate them
Like I would cry for ages if they made Nymphasuchus a tank because I love how it looks like a crocodile-ferret. Nymph is perfect, he doesn't need a redesign :( I hope that when they do redesign it, they keep its cute toes. I love Nymph
And Flixlit is my main (by far; it's my favourite creature in the whole game) so any redesign that changes it would be a loss in my book. Thankfully the poll currently looks like this
So I doubt it will change much in the redesign. I just don't want the other options because spiky Flixlit would look dumb tbh
Still, I'm slightly worried bc sometimes the redesigns suck. I despise the Pero redesign SO much. They made a fine creature so ugly. They made my sweetie look like a demon. And everyone was mad about Kendyll's bad initial redesign (tbh I didn't mind that one and I actually think the new redesign looks out of place compared to the other creatures) so yeah.
I know this isn't remotely what I normally post, but I need to ramble about this because I'm anxious now. Here's hoping they don't mess up with the Flix & Nymph redesigns.

Fun fact: I don't have a gallbladder! I had it removed at 14 after contracting gallstones :D The nurses told me that gallstones are supposed to only occur in middle-aged people with high cholesterol and/or drinking problems, but I fit none of those categories. Somehow, I wasn't the youngest person they'd seen with the condition. They'd had an 11-year-old with it once, which is just bonkers.
I spent a week in the hospital. With gallstones, they remove the gallbladder to prevent getting it again (they are indescribably painful), so I had surgery, and I now have four little scars on my stomach. Also, the hospital refused to organise the flight back home, so my mum and I had to race to catch the next Rex flight to my hometown. Oh, and they didn't actually transfer me so I had to go through triage again after returning home. That was fun /s
That was also the first time I'd been under anaesthetic. It was really weird.

I read the book w/ Bumble in it (I legitimately don't remember its name sob) about 4 years ago, and the way everyone treated her made me stop reading DotC because it made me so angry. I still haven't gone back to finish it and I don't know if I will tbh
The part that pissed me off the most was how Gray Wing was such a little bitch the whole time. At least at the time -- so in 2020 -- people were still mostly very fond of him. I got into several arguments about it and people didn't take me seriously, although that may have been because the people I talked with were around my age and may not have had a fully developed understanding of the issues Bumble's whole thing exemplifies. I also didn't have adequate vocab to express what was wrong with what i had read, which didn't help.
Also, the point Moonkitti makes about Bumble and weight is really interesting. It's so annoying how generally fatphobic kids' media is (thinking about Harry Potter rn).

4. Piece you wish got more love?
Hmm... I don't often let myself get sad about my art not doing as well as I hoped, but I do sort of wish the raffle prizes I posted earlier this year had gotten some more likes. Although the main reason they didn't was that I didn't have many followers (I still don't but my art gets more likes now so yeah).
14. What's your favourite thing about drawing?
This question is a tad vague, so I'm just answering on vibes if that makes sense. I think my favourite thing about drawing is really just the joy of creation. Like, it's fun to make stuff and to have it in my files and online and think "yo, I made that". Plus, I usually enjoy the process a lot (although I like certain parts more than others).
29. Do you use a lot of references while drawing?
It really depends on what I'm drawing! If I'm really familiar with it, I can bust it out with no reference. But if it's a new species, or a weird angle, or something else that I don't do much, I'll usually try to pull up some references, because otherwise, it doesn't really meet my standards.

And much like during a shower, drawing is an excuse to do something with my hands while idly thinking. But my hands don't get wrinkly when I draw so therefore they are Completely Different

So I have this terrarium in a jar on my desk, and for months I thought everything in it had died, but I just looked in it and found a pair of healthy adult spiders just. Hanging out in there.
You may be able to imagine my surprise upon seeing this, as I had not opened the lid in months and had seen the two plants I put inside die in real time. That all happened in, like, August? Maybe earlier?
The weirdest part is that spiders are predators, so if I have spiders, I must also have other bugs they're preying on that I never noticed.
