hey there! the abstragedy community has all come together to dedicate a week to our beloved ship. if you’re unaware, it is the ship between zooble x gangle from the amazing digital circus! all participation is accepted, and welcomed!

you can do whatever you please—make physical art, digital art, write a short story, anything along those lines.

only rules are that:

while any character from the amazing digital circus can be in your drawings/writings/etc, main focus should be on the ship!

SFW ONLY!! slightly suggestive dialogue is okay, but it MUST have a warning!

nothing disrespectful! no slurs, no ship hate, no hate in general, the usual things that wouldn’t be tolerated.

following what @warblogs17282 said, yeah I def think Verosika is skipping the anti-Blitz parties from now on. I’d have to look back on it again, but from what I’ve seen it’s almost like she hated him not for the mistakes he made, but for the way he chose not to fix them. From what we know about their relationship, there were wrongs on both sides and V probably understood that. But when Blitz fucked up with all those people, he didn’t try to reconcile with them or make anything right because he thought it was too late. (Hence the long ass list of people he had to visit on the apology tour.) I think that second of Verosika during Mastermind was her realization that Blitz did care, and he’s finally paying for his actions.

Did Verosika offer Stolas any support during his first month as an exile or was she only his friend when they resented Blitzo together

completely agree, especially with this part,

and although I know it's a lot to ask since there are only 5 episodes left and not a lot of room for more character development, it would be really nice to see them both work through their issues together.

You know the classic trope where one character gives another something to help them be "normal," which doesn't turn out well because what is "normal" suppresses who they are and wants to be? I really love the unique way they executed it here.

If Zooble gave Gangle that mask because they wanted her to be "normal" in the sense that she should suppress something about her that Zooble takes issue with, then it would be very damaging (and even insulting) to Zooble's character because of who Zooble is and what experiences and struggles they have.

And it's for that reason that I absolutely love what they did for both of them in this episode!

When Zooble wants (to help) Gangle to be normal, the normalcy, in this case, is not about achieving CONFORMITY; it's about achieving HARMONY, that is to say, helping Gangle find harmony with who she is through overcoming the distress and struggles she faces.

It's not about changing Gangle's identity and suppressing the things that make her who she is; it's about helping her fully embrace those things!

Not to mention, these little moments between Zooble and Gangle are made all the more poignant because we know that Zooble has a similar struggle, which allows them to relate to Gangle's struggles and help her get through them with the things they've learned from their own!

aww this is a cute lil story I rly like how zooble's different parts actually play a part (their horn twitching, etc) like in the show because that's a detail that gets overlooked a lot

Glitchy Memories

This is my first attempt at writing for tadc! I need more practice with the characters and this was the outcome. I think the aftermath of Caine's breakdown should be explored more, so this was my idea. Please let me know your thoughts ♥️

Zooble paused as they walked down the hallway to their bedroom. They turned their head towards the right. Gangle’s portrait stared back at them on the door. Their eyes shifted to the floor then back at the bedroom.

They knocked on Gangle’s door.

There was a muffled squeak on the other side with sounds of shuffling. 

“Coming,” said Gangle.

The door creaked open, with Gangle peering at them. Her frown relaxed at the sight of Zooble.

Gangle opened the door slightly, her single ribbon curled on the side of the wooden frame. “Did you wanna come in?” 

Zooble nodded as Gangle let them in, gently closing the door behind her. They rubbed at their arm and took their usual spot on the velvet lounge chair.

Gangle crawled on her bed and grabbed her sketchbook, planting it in her lap. She fiddled with the cover. 

Her ribbon played with the spirals at the top. “The adventure wasn’t so bad today.”

Zooble grunted. “I figured. Pomni didn’t look as traumatized when you guys came back.”

Gangle nodded and leaned forward.

“And we tied Jax up with the help of an NPC. I think that’s partially why the adventure wasn’t so bad today.”

The corner of Zooble’s eyes wrinkled. “Damn, maybe I should’ve gone to see that. That [bonk]hole deserved it.”

Gangle’s gazed at them with soft eyes. “Yeah, it would have been nice if you were there.”

Zooble's pink unicorn horn on their head twitched. “I probably should have, so I didn’t have to deal with Caine.”

Gangle perked up. “Did something happen to him?”

They paused for a moment, remembering the circus glitching around them. Their entire world glitching from Caine’s breakdown. 

Gangle noticed their reluctance and quickly backpedaled. Her shoulders hunched and she waved her ribbons. 

“You don’t have to share if you don’t want to—”

“He just made me do a therapy session with him. But then we switched places and I had to hear about his obnoxious issues."

Gangle blinked, tears falling from her mask before replaced with new ones. Zooble ignored the pit which developed in their stomach.

Zooble propped their arm on the armchair. Their eyes flickered towards Gangle’s sketchbook. 

They gestured towards the book. “Can I see some of your drawings?”

Even though Gangle had the tragedy mask on, her face visibly brightened. She flipped open her sketchbook and beckoned Zooble to join her on the bed.

Zooble stood up from the chair and headed towards their friend. They shook the feeling of guilt which racked their brain. 

They remembered the circus crumbling and the deafening sounds of static around them. Zooble took a seat next to Gangle and folded their hands to steady their shaky limbs.

really like this theory so here's some other stuff I noticed

the first shot we see of gangle with her comedy mask is in zooble's room (which I'm really excited to see btw)

Jax, pomni, and ragatha all look surprised, so even by process of elimination you can guess zooble made it

the right (sticker?) by gangle's eye looks a lot like one of zooble's eyes

and obviously, they give her a new mask in last year's post too

update: I just realized ZOOBLE IS GOING ON THE ADVENTURE WITH THEM?? This is like their first ever adventure in the show?? there's no way this isn't connected

My prediction for episode four for TADC

We already know at this point that Zooble and Gangle are friends

gangle was the only one that cared about Zooble getting captured by the gloinks

They’re with each other here in the same as well

that Zooble hand sense Gangle has her tragedy mask on we can assume it got broken by Jax if I had to guess since they’re still in the circus maybe Zooble is comforting her?

You can clearly see Gangle is in Zooble room if it wasn’t obvious

and you can see the others possibly reacting to Gangle new mask

Zooble gives Gangle a new comedy mask this proves that Zooble cares Gangle maybe possibly tired of her mask breaking all the time due to Jax maybe she makes one for Gangle
