I’m drunk making a Healthy! Magnus archives AU, so if anyone wants to see that… I would really like to share. It’s super funny because it’s basically all the same things that happen in the normal timeline but everyone is trying their hardest to communicate. But like also their personalities are almost exactly the same. The REASON it’s different is because Martin is SLIGHTLY more confident in himself and Tim is SLIGHTLY more annoying and Sasha is SLIGHTLY more self preserving, like just enough to where they are all still essentially the same characters but like an iiiitttyyyt bit different. And Elias is also way more involved in the most standoffish way possible. BUT I FORGOT YO METION it’s also a time travel au, so right after the prentiss attack they all get together (Sasha didn’t die, Rosie did, and when Elias is more active so is she, and Elias knows what tf she is and just send her in all sorts of side quests where she interacts with Jon. (I’ve always thought Rosie was such an untapped character fr so)) ANYWAYS after the prentis attack they get together and talk about everything and instead of being suspicious of the crew he and the staff decide to stay away from Elias, but keep Rosie in contact so they still have a little knight as to what goes on in Elias’s world. Jon still feels the need to keep his workers safe though and TGATS what would lead to the tunnel fiascos. BUT since this is a time travel au as well (and I should explain that when the archivist died in the main timeline he and his Martin split off into a bunch of different entities in different universes, two for each one. But in this one since Elias is so active so is Peter Lukas and Martin gets stuck in Peter’s lonely for a bit before releasing himself and joking bavk up with Jon.) and the whole thing basically revolves around the Alt!Crew talking to main!jon and being like “ok so your world is fucked up, what do we do to change ours?” And m!jon is like “fuck if I know I just wanna find Martin!”. I’ve had about two and a half cord lights so I’m essentially hood but like I can’t particularly read anything but if that sounds interesting then hmu for the drawings (ts abt to flop big time, one - two likes type beat)

The second part of character i became initially attached to: Vague Addition.
Sasha James, Archivist Addition. I love the idea of Sasha becoming the Archivist and I absolutely believe she still would've hurled the world into an apocalypse. I'm obsessed with her and the potential and the What Could've Been of her. [The Eye, The Spiral]
『Daedalus』 They gave me a tormented guy and then nothing else. This is a concept for that "fourth crewmate" upon the Daedalus who got locked in a cargo box. A young man, easily tricked and lured, becoming a torn apart & unrecognizable victim of the Dark. I do want to tweak his design but I do love the concept. My guy. My poor, screaming fella. Him having his autonomy and identity pried away from him, just. I want to study him. [The Dark, The Lonely, The Vast]
Breekon. Breekon and Hope. Ill be designing a separate look for Hope, but i did begin to love Breekon and what he went through. They made me ill. I want them to get a house together in the suburbs and get a big dog and just be together again. Also yes the Signature has both Breekon and Hope but that's 100% because when I tried to make Breekons signature by itself, it looked wrong and empty. I'm sick of separating them anyways so. I'd like to expand a small bit in saying that, in ky mind, Sasha would've become what would widely be considered "the bad guy" in her Archivist journey.
In the barest in summaries on how I view Archivist Sasha
I fully believe she would sacrifice the world if it meant she could keep the Archive Crew safe/saved.
Do I think Archivist Sasha would've handled a good few things better than Archivist Jon?
Yes.
Do I also think that she would lead to arguably worse horrors and fall much deeper into the "monster" aspect of being an avatar?

TMA season 1 finale!
Just finished listening to season one of tma! Holy shit!! I was not expecting Sasha to get replaced/distorted so soon. (Yes, sadly I’ve been spoiled by the beautiful fanart). I wonder if we’ll ever get the real Sasha back… It will be interesting to see what Not!Sasha does and if anyone figures out something’s wrong. Doesn’t help that I couldn’t understand which artifact Sasha said she found right before it happened. That might’ve been on purpose though, idk.
And omggg Jon is beginning his descent into madness disguised as a quest for knowledge! 🎉 I love how they set up his paranoia for next season, it’s understandable but I also suspect he’s gonna accidentally hurt people who care about him.
Speaking of!!! As of season one’s ending, I think the jonmartin ship is still one-sided with Jon being oblivious to Martin’s feelings. I’m sure it’ll get worse before it gets better.
I might make an actual pin board for tma S1, I really might. For now I have tumblr lol.
P.S. I really like Tim, he’s silly. He should burst through drywall Koolaid Man-style more often.
i was trying to draw Not!Sasha earlier but she never looked quite right. there was always something off about how she looked, then i realized that maybe that was the point

and they're literally the funny ones in the archives. they joke around with eachother a lot. COME ON PEOPLE
The tma fandom seems to have unlocked our psychic capabilities. Let me explain.
If you’re on the tma tag, or just have a lot of tma art on your dash, you see art of characters you have only heard the voices of. And you go “Oh, that’s Jon!” “Oh, that’s Melanie!” “Oh, that’s Tim!” And only a handful of these characters have distinctly described traits (like Gerry’s eye tattoos), and fewer still have recurring appearances, or that we hear the voices of. And yet we all agree, roughly, on what they look like. Even if someone has a different design, instead of going “who the hell is that”, you go “well, that’s not what I think Georgie looks like, but I know it’s Georgie without having to check the tags”.
This gets even more interesting when you look at Sasha. Because she gets *replaced*. And so many drawings of not!Sasha label her as Sasha for the bit/for spookiness, but we all somehow *know* when we’re looking at not!Sasha, even when the drawing has no other spookiness.
Ive seen this extend too far sometimes, with a lot of Malevolent art being inadvertently assigned to tma characters, but rarely have I looked at a piece of tma art and gone “who the hell is that??”
Some of this comes down to a collective agreement on designs that happened before I got to the fandom - by the time I got here, pretty much everyone’s designs were largely nailed down. Even so, art where the designs deviate from The Socially Agreed Design are still readily recognizable as the characters. I’m getting to see this with Alice, too - I can look at almost any Alice drawing and go “yep, that’s Alice” and she’s only existed in our collective consciousness for like three months and her design isn’t solidified yet.

shitpost tma version almost all of them were drawn in june when i was stressed about college and needed a way to relax, so I started drawing these silly things
Some none-fanon Magnus Archives designs in the year 2024.
I was that special combo of being late to the party while having somehow seen no spoilers for it, just spent 200 episodes knowing nothing of what was to come while my friends who recommended it to me cackled in the background.
It was fantastic!
It however meant I had to avoid the fandom until I was finished, which hi everyone, how are we doing? Still feeling very normal about this podcast?
