My favorite headcanon about gods and the mortals is that gods never understand how fragile humans are and don't understand how deep god's touches go through mortal's skin. (or simply don't care)

Athena will make Diomedes's grip on his spear stronger pushing his fingers tighter and almost breaking his bones. She fixes his position making his stance perfect, but human's body was never able to get into position this perfect so his muscles will be tearing and his bones will be cracking just to be instantly healed. When Athena removes her hands, his body will be covered in bruises.

Odysseus will always feel burning and at the same time freezing gaze on his back while Athena watches him across the battlefield. His ears will be filled with her breath and whisper, that will ring in his head long after she ended speaking. She will help him shot an arrow, and he will feel his joints moving in the way they were never supposed to move.

When Apollo turns all the spears and arrows away from the Hector he will still feel them digging into his flash. Apollo will raise him from the dust again and again, and Hector won't be able to stand without hearing god's voice in his ears and feeling god's burning touch on his shoulders. He closes his eyes and still sees the light.

Helen will stand tall to speak up to Paris, and Aphrodite will place her hands on Helen's shoulders to remind her of goddess's presence and this flaming grip will weight as heavy as ten years of war. Aphrodite will wash Helen's face so her skin will shine brighter and eyes will haunt every man in the room, and the only thing Helen feels is her skin freezing from the coldness of Aphrodite's hands.

And those touches won't end with battle or even with war. Every time Diomedes fights he will feel his body taking the exact position Athena once made him in, his limbs will come into shape they were never meant to be in, without deforming cause Athena already fixed them, once she already designed him according to her vision. Every time Odysseus lies his words will echo in his head just like Athena's words did before, every time he uses a bow, arrow in his hands will feel like a burning torch or like an ice, and his joints and tendons will sing in a perfect copy of the song Athena made them perform inside his body on the battlefield. Every time Helen will square her shoulders to feel herself more confident she will feel burning touch on her chin pushing it up and freezing breath in her hair. She will look at her husband and shadow of tight grip on her shoulders will become shadow of sharp nails digging into her skin, holding her in place.

Even dying at Achilles's hands and falling to the ground Hector would still hear an order in his head telling him to get up and fight, his own blood running down a neck will feel like Apollo's hands forcing him back to his feet.

No mortal ever forgets a god's touch.

Helloooo! I came again to comment on another passage

I might be obsessed…

Helloooo! I Came Again To Comment On Another Passage

I just imagined Ody singing that part of The Challenge

"Just know, I'll be here, buying you time!"

Unfortunately, weaving an infinite shroud doesn't seem to be helping much now

*cries*

Hello 👋

It's good to see you again 🫶

Well...you are right about the weaving...but I have some other plans to recreate the vibe🤫🫣🤭

What do you think god marriages are like?

Depends on the couple.

Hades and Persephone have a classic one. Zeus and Hera were supposed to also have a marriage like that but we know how it ended. Most gods have open marriages.

I have this interesting idea Siren Odysseus mixed with Warrior Au Penelope. The catch— Penelope is an Amazonian. How do you think that would work?

I don't think that would change too much for Penelope. Amazons are daughters of Ares and trained warriors.

Siren Ody on the other hand sounds interesting. I'm not sure if you mean Siren Ody as a siren encountered in the song "suffering" or Penelope who married a siren.

If you mean the song then nothing really would change. They still need information so Penelope would have to play along to lure sirens in.

If Penelope married a siren that could create an interesting conflict where Penelope respects direct honourable battle while Ody in his nature has avoiding it and using trickery instead.

It could also create a conflict where people expect Penelope to help them hunt down sirens but she can't force herself to do it.

How do any of Telemachus' parents handle the affections that other deities or mythical creatures might give to their son? I mean, considering Titan Ody's experiences with affection (that one goddes that cursed him) before he met Penelope and Diomedes .I'd imagine he'd be a little weary. How does Telemachus handle it himself?

What are their favorite foods? (godly food or otherwise)

Telemachus is rather blunt and unlike his father he doesn't mind openly rejecting someone. Ody also might create shelters for his baby and Diomedes and Penelope don't mind beating up annoying gods.

For the original God Odysseus what's your version of his backstory?

I have few ideas but I'm not sure which one would be treated as the main one for the story until I have the entire plot and timeline planned.

1) Similar to the one with Poseidon where Laertes while sailing with Argonauts makes a deal that ends up with Anticlea's pregnancy.

2) God takes interest in young Odysseus' and gives him ambrosia so they could be together but Ody never wanted it.

3) Hermes has baby Ody and to make sure he isn't noticed too early by Zeus he has him raised by Laertes and Anticlea

There are a few more but those are the most planned ones.

Although deities are technically nothing like humans, do you think hypothetically they can get something like, for example, their own version of an allergy? For instance, a curse that prevents them from touching certain metals or else it burns them. If so, what would Titan Odysseus be? If he had to think of one?

Also, assuming that Odysseus or one of the other female goddesses taught Penelope how to use her abilities, what was the hardest ability for her to learn? Same with Diomedes?

If there was some godly allergy I think that could be something like ashes from ceremonial fires. That's because godly senses are pretty fragile for it to know if new sacrifices were made or if a proper funeral was organised etc. So it is easy to imagine that ashes from those ceremonies would be a little too intense for the fragile nose. (Almost like walking through perfume samples hahaha)

And with the abilities?... For Penelope it was probably the hardest to learn how to transform/mutilate her surroundings and other people/creatures. She is a person who prefers adapting HERSELF to changes instead of changing others. Also Ody isn't the biggest fan of it as well so it wasn't for him the easiest lesson for him to give.

And for Diomedes it was absolutely shape shifting. He is usually too straightforward and not too good of a liar and because of it he had a hard time doing a convincing transformation and to keep it for long enough to fool anyone.

Why is God Odysseus so shy around people?

He is an over-thinker hahaha

Ikr also a blend of "people are so delicate! I need to be careful!" and "I don't want to be too pushy like other gods so how am I gonna do it?"

So how exactly do god pregnancies work? And how different is they're aging process compared to humans when they're born? For someone like Penelope who was human before then turned into a goddess I imagine this might be quite confusing for her.

It mostly depends on god and what form they have when "trying for the baby". That's why Helen was born from an egg.

If they take the shape of the person it means it will be a normal human pregnancy. (For example what happened to Hermes and Dionysus).

Things get complicated when it's between gods/titans/inhuman creatures. Then the pregnancy can be something as abstract as a child simply appearing as a representation of their love (for example Anteros) or a child might skip the entire pregnancy or process of baby making when it embodies some emotions or past grudges (Hephaestus, Athena, Erechtheus, Ovids' Pegasus). Sometimes it might even be something very abstract (Erechtheus once again), very simple or a little confusing.

Penelope should not be too worried. Ody isn't too freaky so the weirdest thing that might happen is Penelope laying an egg.

When the child is born it mostly depends on if it's going to inherit the godhood. It doesn't always happen, even with children of two gods. If the child inherits the godhood it will quicker grow from newborn to child (around twice as fast usually - Hermes is exemption , not a rule)

Gods that are born normally are usually just kids that grow up without anything too weird. Their strength isn't usually the problem since if their parents are gods it shouldn't bring them trouble.

How did Titan Odysseus meet any of his friends?

He met his more "ancient" friends by the fact that many titans wanted to meet one another. They were always fascinated when a new one would be born since it would usually bring some interesting changes to their routines. (Especially when their existence alone was usually more than enough to affect their surroundings)

Gods usually introduce themselves to titans they encounter out of respect. Because Ody doesn't really care about the hierarchy he doesn't mind just inviting anyone interested for some wine and gossip.

With people he usually pretends to be one when walking among them. He isn't the biggest fan of people acting as his followers. That way he can see their true selves and so he becomes friends with them more naturally.

He met Diomedes by pretending to be one of the soldiers while the army was travelling. He was curious and he enjoyed how soldiers would sing songs and dance when taking breaks.

Titan Penelope? Ever thought about idea?

Not really. I'm more fascinated by the idea of titan falling in love with a human who would later become a god so they could be immortal together.

At least for me Penelope feels more special with her origin as a Spartan princess who fell in love with a titan.

So, has god odysseus (Poseidon son) met any of Poseidon's other children?

Most likely. He is probably aware of most but he only meets those he sees as not too aggressive. For that reason he isn't interested in meeting younger Cyclops. He met Bellerophon and they were rather chill together.

Ody doesn't really seek them but if he stumbles upon them he will always spend an hour or two talking or playing games.

Titan Odysseus you said that he could create sanctuaries that couldn't be easily accessed by others. How often did he use those and what was the reason he used them for?

He uses them mostly to make sure people won't be accidentally affected by his presence. He also makes them to protect people that he witnessed being chased by gods, satyrs etc.

He also used to make those when having a date with a lover so they would not be spotted together by some strangers.

He doesn't use them too often. Just when he feels it's needed.

Kind of a Funny idea God Odysseus decides to save Helen but shape shifts to disguise himself as her so neither Paris or Aphrodite suspects anything. How do you think that would go?

Ody would either troll them seeing how long it takes for them to get tired of "Helen", or he would be preparing some special revenge on Aphrodite for trying to break a lovely marriage.

What is your favorite Creepypasta?

What's your take on how Ody would teach the campers at Camp half blood?

My favourite creepypasta is probably Candle Cove. I also really like the series of "Abandoned by Disney"

I think Ody would be the type of teacher who guides students to the solution but he won't straight up explain it (especially in things revolving tactics). He is more precise when it comes to physical training.

So aside from making people calm, what other abilities does Titan Odysseus have? Who is Odysseus's least favorite family member and most favorite family member? ( I'm talking about those of both Titans and other Olympian gods?)

How did Odysseus manage to convince Penelope of letting him date Diomedes?

Also, what do Penelope and Diomedes do to bond with each other?

1) He can remove strong emotions, remove specific sounds, he can ensure that created by him sanctuaries won't be found and in addition to that most of the basic god powers like shape shifting. His powers are more about affecting someone's mind, emotions and senses, he can slightly affect the surroundings but he isn't too good at it.

2) His least favourite are probably Zeus, Chronos and . Meanwhile his favourites are Artemis, Helios, Pan and Athena.

3) It wasn't that difficult to convince her. She was already very happy to see Ody ask for permission to court someone. Ody just showed her Dio and after spending some time she would make it clear if she approves or not.

4) It's a magical power of two introverts to get along even when not doing anything special. They like to just talk, enjoy their hobbies or go on a hunt.

Going back to that one au where Penelope is Scylla, how exactly did Ody's crew end up meeting Penelope? Also, how did Ody's family take the news that their son married a monster ?

Is Telemachus anything like his mom? How was he born?

Since he was a kid Ody loved traveling and adventures. He would sail to the furthest regions just to experience something exciting.

When he was 17 he sailed alone and ended up on an island without any city. There he met a beautiful lady near the shores. Ody offered her most of the meal he was making for himself which made her blush. They talked for some time and when Ody woke up in the morning he noticed a basket full of fish.

He stayed on the island for around a week and every day he met with Penelope. He asked her for the name of the island so he could find her again but she hesitated saying that he would not like to see a true side of her. He jokingly asked if she's a siren and she said that it would be easier if that was the case.

A month later Ody was sailing in hopes of finding her again. He didn't hesitate to risk his own health to do so.

What he didn't expect tho was meeting a bunch of pirates who wanted to capture the beautiful prince. It was then when a monster with six heads appeared and devoured the pirates.

Odysseus was shocked at first but then he recognised those beautiful violet eyes and without any hesitation he called her "Penelope?"

It turns out that it is her true form. The human one is usually used to lure people in (she still needs to have contact with seawater) but she fell for the mysterious prince who offered her food despite risking being hungry.

It was more than obvious that those two fell in love at the first sight and with that they arrived together in Ithaca where they got married. Odysseus built for her a palace that had streams of ocean water on the floor that allowed her to move comfortably.

Laertes and Anticlea were more than confused but seeing how happy their son is they couldn't do much about it.

Telemachus could be easily mistaken with ocean nymph due to the shape of his ears. He also has sharp teeth and lightly glowing eyes.

And how he was made...well...when two people like each other very very much...

So, how exactly did God Odysseus (Poseidon's kid) come to be?

Well...it was originally inspired by your ask hahaha

But in the myth it would be that Laertes and the Argonauts were in a big danger while sailing and they promised to give Poseidon anything to save them. Poseidon agrees and the same night he slept with Anticlea.

For the first few years Odysseus was raised among his human family but his obvious godly heritage attracted plenty of dangerous people who wouldn't mind having a demigod as a partner.

Poseidon seeing his son being in danger (situation similar to Theseus and Helen) decides to take him and raise him as a god. He gives Ody ambrosia and offers him a beautiful island where he would not meet any harm.( Odysseus still visits his family and their descendants regularly.)

Ody as a titan would be a titan of peace (as calmness) and if he was a god he would most likely be a god of safety (as son of Poseidon he would probably be more connected to sailing)

What did Titan Odysseus, Penelope, and Diomedes do as a couple? Considering Ody's abilities made it hard for them to be around him for a short period of time before they became deities, how did that work?

When Penelope and Diomedes were mortals they would have a very active first day with Ody and then calm second. Ody would then leave for a few hours and the cycle could repeat.

For example with Penelope they would play around trees, dance etc in the first day and in the second they would have a peaceful day during which Penelope would weave and Ody would carve in wood. Or they would both play instruments together.

With Diomedes they used to spar and play a lot of "tavern" games and later do something like fishing.

Also it's not like they could stay for too long with him before they got married and became gods. Penelope was a princess and she was expected to be home regularly and Diomedes met Odysseus when he was a soldier and a king. Ody usually had to be the one to remind them about their duties.

What if god Odysseus was the son of Poseidon? How much would that would change in Ody's life?

A LOT would change. Poseidon would be a helicopter parent to his son. Ody as a god of safety would focus on assisting sailors and shipwrecked people, but Poseidon would punish any man who tries to take advantage of his innocent son.

Ody would live on a hard to reach island and any nymph/god/siren/etc that would potentially inhabit it would have to be approved by Poseidon.

The reason why is because Ody is due to living near the sea he always helped people lost there but sadly some sailors out of desperation would want to do unspeakable to the beautiful young looking man with wings.

Odysseus would have wings similar to a seagull or albatross. He is also more sheltered so he relies on stories shared by people to know more about the world.

It is almost like a currency to him. You can ask him a favour and he will accept if you in exchange tell his an interesting story that he didn't hear before.

Odysseus would meet Penelope when she was sailing with her family and she accidentally fell overboard during a storm. He helped her and took her to his island because she had no idea how to explain the Ody location of Sparta. So they would spend a few days together and at night Ody was flying and trying to locate her home.

Once he did it he took her to safety. They fell in love and Ody promised to visit her but also he warned her to not try to seek him or Poseidon might punish her.

He was visiting her once a week but her cousins started to suggest that he just has another lover on his island. She didn't believe them but once her father wanted to marry her off she decided to risk everything and swim to Odysseus.

Poseidon was about to strike her with his trident but Ody shielded her with his wings. Penelope seeing it started to worry and tried to help Ody despite being in danger. Poseidon was impressed and allowed her to be with his son but she wasn't allowed to invite her family over. (There would be an additional "myth" about that). She became a goddess once she reached her twenties so she would be in a similar "age" as Odysseus.

There would be a story where Jason and Argonauts accidentally landed on Ody's island where the young god helped them and told them that they can take any food but they can't steal any treasures or stay for longer than two nights. They at first agreed but one of them got fascinated by pearl jewelry and stole a necklace. Also Jason forgot that they were there already for a day when Ody explained the rules and because of it they stayed for a day too long. Because of it they stumbled upon angry Poseidon who assumed that they wanted to hurt his son. They promised that they didn't touch him but Poseidon told them that he will only believe them if the thief who stole the necklace reveals himself and experiences a proper punishment. At first they wanted to blame Heracles since he would most likely survive it but then even started claiming to be the thief. Impressed Poseidon allowed them to go but as a punishment he moved their boat so their journey would take longer than needed.

How much do you think god or Titan Odysseus affects greek mythology if at all?

How does Telemachus find his domains?

What abilities do you think Diomedes would inherit upon becoming a deity?

Titan Odysseus would not affect Greek mythology too much. He is one of those gods/titans that you fear about but they are rarely active in stories of other people. (Like the greek god of riches for example.)

He would have a few stories involving gods like Apollo or Ares that were unable to do their job because Ody was too close to them or a story or two about a mortal/nymph who tried to seduce Ody only to be cursed by Penelope.

Telemachus finds his domain during his travels with his parents. He finds traveling people who had a problem with setting up their camp. Telemachus helped them by helping them find a shelter and creating a campfire that would survive a night. Travellers gave Telemachus a flute (which would become his symbol) and some food as thanks and they spent the rest of the night exchanging stories and playing music together. Telemachus was able to calm down stressed travellers and aided them, that way he discovered his domain.

I'm still not sure what type of god Dio would become so I don't know.

What do you think Diomedes bonding attempts with Telemachus were like?(If it was either before he gained immortality or after he gained immortality). What do you think Telemachus would be like as a Titan?

Diomedes went through an awkward stage of trying to understand how babies work and then trying to understand how godly babies work hahaha

I imagine Dio taking Telemachus on trips to cities and showing him things that his parents might not understand too well. He is like a big brother when it comes to answering questions.

Once Telemachus was old enough he would absolutely teach him how to spar and use weapons. Also Diomedes is the one who accidentally becomes a bad influence to baby Telemachus (since Diomedes is a little hot headed and didn't learn tact)

Telemachus would not be a titan but a god (even if he would be a child of titan Odysseus). He would be curious of people and the world like his parents. He enjoys pretending to be a human just to join other travellers on their way.

He would be the type of person who would randomly make a backpack journey around the country only to tell you about it once he's back. Also if he sees something he finds cool he WILL drag one of his three parents to show it.

He is also a prankster like his father, but while his dad would mess with people by scaring them a little or making them trip, Telemachus would instead come up with random gossips, make your tent fall a few times before you can build it correctly or he would add something to your food/drink that would make your tongue blue. (It represents innocent accidents that might happen on camping trips)

Do you think Titan Odysseus looks any different from God Odysseus? Are there personalities any different?

How exactly do Diomedes, Penelope, and Odysseus go about discipline/raising Telemachus ?

Any fun facts about them as deities (Telemachus and Penelope)?

What are the reactions of those from the kingdom of Argos (if he somehow managed to convince them of dating a Titan and a goddess)?

Okay so I have a headcanon about titans that they are much more of an embodiment of the domain they represent. It basically goes

Chaos > ancient gods (Gaya, Nyx, Tartarus) > Titans > Gods embodying elements (Limos) > "Olympian gods" > minor gods > nymphs/spirits > demigods

The further it goes the more human they are. For example Limos as goddess of hunger embodied her element to the point where even Demeter couldn't get close to her, or how Helios is sometimes described as the sun itself which never happened to Apollo.

Odysseus as a titan of peace would cause his surroundings to become calm. He sometimes visits cities that were victims of a panic to calm them down. He also helps by visiting places that are meant to be sanctuaries like temples. If he would stay too long he could risk people acting like lotus eaters and not being willing to work so he makes sure to not stay in one place for more than a month.

Titan Ody looks more like a harpy than a human (he has harpy legs and his body is mostly covered in feathers with exception being his chest, neck, arms and face) he has a pair of wings on his back and on his head.

God Odysseus looks mostly like a man in his twenties with wings on his lower back and head.

Raising Telemachus is different depending if it's god Odysseus or titan one. If he's a god, he, Penelope and Dio would stay in Argos at first and make sure if Telemachus is a god or not (since gods do not always give birth to other gods). Telemachus would be raised among people of Argos until he develops his domain.

If Odysseus is a titan they would raise Telemachus in the fields that are seen as Ody's main domain. Diomedes would make sure to take Telemachus regularly to some cities to make sure that he would know more about people. (Since God Ody is easily startled by people and titan one can't stay with them too long without affecting them)

In both Odysseus would share stories with his baby and show him many places while Penelope would introduce Telemachus to many books, arts and crafts.

Ody is more relaxed about raising Telemachus. He is a little bit overprotective but at the same time he wants his baby to enjoy what the world has to offer. Penelope is a kind but stern parent. She is the one who established things like bedtime or will give him timeout for misbehaving. Diomedes is at first confused as hell because he knows nothing about raising kids but he gets better with time. He also was only recently granted godhood or he is about to so he is still figuring out all the god stuff while trying to raise a baby that can easily lift him.

With the people of Argos it's a funny story.

At first they obviously didn't believe him when he said he's a lover of a titan. But once Sthenelus realised that Dio isn't lying he's PANICKING! Everyone knows that Odysseus has been married for over a century. They are scared that his wife will punish Dio and the entire Argos for this situation. They want to build a temple for Penelope to beg her for forgiveness only to turn out that Penelope doesn't mind sharing her husband (especially since the first thing Ody did was to ask for his wife's permission to have a date with a pretty human.) Dio decides to stay human until he finds someone to replace him on the throne and Sthenelus is always sweating bullets when he feels the presence of the titan and the goddess.

Titan or god Odysseus. What's your take on dioodypen? Like how would it go?

With Penelope it would probably be the same as I described before.

Dio would stumble upon them by accident. He would travel only to hear the soft sound of music.

At first he was just visiting them regularly but then he admitted that he started falling for them

They would start dating and Dio would most likely accept ambrosia.

Also when he tried to tell others nobody believed him that he dates a titan and goddess
