(They all have curly hair I just didn't want to draw it 🤣😅)
((Y/n and her adopted family Grandmother Leyra, Mother zo'ile, Father nawmrui, Older brother At'ok (18), Younger brothers Tayätsi and Tsu'ti (14 years old twins), and baby brother kä'ey (8 years old))
~that night~
After the sullys settled in to their hopefully new home they walked around looking for y/n. While they walked around the sullys noticed while Mo'at was welcomed warmly the clan was cautious around the children, but with neytiri and jake.
The sully saw y/n laughing and eating with a few kids just as Jake took a step towards her Mo'at stopped him "Leave her alone Jake Sully" Mo'at warned Jake just rolled his eyes before he continued to walked towards her only to be stopped by two warriors "Move I would like to speak to my daughter" Jake said the warriors chuckled "y/n is Tsa'hìk Zo'iles daughter." The warrior on the left started "she may have been born from you and your mate but she is the daughter of Zo'ile and Nawmrui" the warrior on the right growled
"My husband is toruk makto, you should not speak to him that way. We are allowed to speak to OUR daughter" neytiri hissed the warriors tightened their grips on their spears but before they could reply a gentle voice spoke "Is there a problem?"
Y/n stood behind the warriors looking at the sullys and the warriors, "we are sorry to disturb your supper y/n,-" the warriors started only to be interrupted by Jake "we needed to speak with you" Jake said stepping forward
"Is there something wrong with your Chalet or food?" Y/n asked
(their new home, just for fun it's the Shrek house)
"No the chalet and food are great we just want to talk" neytiri said reach out for y/n who backed away
"If nothing is wrong with your Chalet or the food then everything else can wait until tomorrow. Have a good night" y/n said walking back to her seat, the sullys looked upset but walked away.
~the next morning~
Y/n smiled as she and Zo'ile walked side by side "today is the day your father, brother and mate come back from hunting" Zo'ile said with a teasing smile
"Mom! We're just friends!" Y/n yelled in embarrassment
As the few elders and zo'ile laughed lightly to the flushed girl as she hid her face from everyone neytiri watched from a far, jealousy filled her chest.
She was your mother not zo'ile,
she should have a close bond with you not zo'ile,
She should be called mother not zo'ile
*Great mother what did we do to deserve this? My own daughter doesn't see me as her mother, she doesn't like me or my Jake. What did we do to deserve this?* Neytiri thought to herself.
Mo'at walked up beside her daughter to see her glaring at zo'ile teasing a very pink y/n.
"You and Jake made your decision by giving her up, don't be upset that she doesn't see you as her mother" Mo'at said shaking her head and walking away from her daughter.
Neytiri sighed they will prove that you belong with them not here.
~later~
The sully children were sitting together under a tree talking to each other, when y/n and kä'ey walked past them.
"Hi y/n!" Tuk yelled making the sullys look to where Tuk yelled, to see the tan na'vi with a little na'vi boy on her shoulders.
Y/n and kä'ey walked towards the Sully's "hello" y/n said with a small smile.
"Who is that?" Lo'ak asked pointing at the child who glared at the group from his older sisters shoulders.
"This is my little brother Kä'ey" y/n said with a smile everyone froze
"Little brother?" The group asked before looking at each other.
"But y/n we're your siblings and mother and father are your parents" tuk said, y/n shock her head
"Yes we share blood but after Jake and neytiri gave birth to me they gave me away. They didn't want me because I was not normal. My parents took me in just like how neytiri and Jake took in kiri, I do not consider Jake and neytiri my family. I will try to have a relationship with you all but that will be all. Am I clear?" Y/n said bluntly making the group nodded.
Jake and Neytiri walked over to the group "Ahh it's nice to see my family finally together." Jake said as he placed a hand on y/ns shoulder,
Making y/n, Kä'ey and a few guards hiss at him making him quickly retract his hand and put them up in defense as the guards raised their spears at him, Kä'ey hugged y/n tighter
"Again I am not YOUR daughter! You may have helped give me life but you are nothing to me" y/n hissed making Jakes ears flatten.
"Now listen here little lady-" Jake was cut off by a loud horn.
Y/n turned around to see a ship slowly docking at the end of the docs by by the swamp water area
"Father and At'ok!" Y/n and kä'ey said excitedly. Kä'ey jumped off y/ns shoulders before taking off y/n following behind him.
As the two ran to the ship they saw everyone unloading before seeing a larger figure talking to some hunters
"FATHER!!!!" Y/N and kä'ey yelled making the larger Na'vis ears perk up, before turning towards the voices
"HAHA! My youngest son and my daughter!!!" Nawmrui yelled before getting down on one knee and opening his arms wide.
Kä'ey and y/n crashed full force into their father's awaiting arms, knocking him down onto his back.
The Eyktan (leader/Chief) laughed as he held two of his five children with a huge smile on his face.
"Aw I don't get a hug"
A thud was heard behind the group and when y/n turned around she saw her oldest brother At'ok who had placed a box down and helped their father back to his feet.
Y/n smiled before turning towards her older brother and hugged him tightly.
"My Y/n!!!" A gentle voice yelled over the happy family's y/n turned to see Kaltxì her best friend (aka soon mate)
"My Kaltxì!" Y/n yelled rushing towards the young warrior.
Kaltxì opened his arms and y/n jumped right into them. Laughter filled the area as Kaltxì and y/n spun around. Soon the teens let go of each other with smiles on their faces.
Nawmrui chuckled as he held Kä'ey "father and At'ok the Sully's are here and they made y/n upset. They also said they are her family" kä'ey said as he looked down at his father from his shoulders.
Everyone around the family froze before looking at y/n. Nawmrui eyes widened before looking down at his daughter who's ears flattened a little
"Father they came for help and they were hurt, I just wanted to help. Mother let them stay the night and heal, and she left judgement for you" y/n said rubbing her arm.
Nawmrui took a breath before gently patting his daughter's head
"It's ok ma daughter." He said with a smile, gently kissing y/ns forehead before telling everyone to continue unloading everything before he made his way to the healers tent.
~in the tent~
The sullys sat in the chef's home in front of the large leader. Nawmrui glared at Jake with hatred. Nawmruis children and Mo'at sat beside him, as the sully children sat beside their parents.
"Tell me why have you come here," nawmrui growled but calmed down when his mate Zo'ile gently pat his leg.
"Chief Nawmrui we've come seeking help, shelter, and to be near our daughter." Jake said said with a bow neytiri bow beside him
At'ok laughed before standing up glaring at the Sully's
"Your daughter? YOUR DAUGHTER?! you and your mate gave her up after birth because she was different! My parents, my grandmother, Mo'at, and our clan raised her! Not you!" At'ok hissed.
"We had no choice boy. If it came to it your family would give her up aswell" Jake hissed
"Silence!" Nawmrui yelled making everyone freeze.
"Sullys we will help you but you will realize that y/n and Mo'at are part of our family and clan. Y/n will not answer to you. now leave my home" Nawmrui hissed
Y/ns tail flicked slightly as she looked at the group behind her grandmother.
The group stared at the tan Navi standing not far from them, Jake and neytiri took a step forward, slowly reaching out for y/n
"After 15 years, I finally get to see my oldest daughter" Jake said as he gently grabbed her arm before he could cup her face y/n quickly kicked him in the stomach which sent Jake stumble back into neytiri and on to the swampy ground.
"No touching" y/n, Tayätsi, Tsu'ti, and Kä'ey hissed at the two shocked adults.
"Grandmother Why have you brought them here? They will not have a warm welcome in our village" Y/n asked looking over at Mo'at, before Mo'at could speak neytiri spoke up.
"My daughter we are your family we do not need a reason to see you" neytiri said standing up
"Kehe! (No!) You are not her family! Mo'at and us are her family!" Tsatseyri hissed standing closer to his sister, making the sullys looking at the three children bearing their teeth at the sullys and tightly holding their weapons.
Y/n gently put a hand on Tsatseyri's shoulder
"Mawey my brother" y/n said gently, Tayätsi hissed before lowering his weapon.
Y/n looked back at Mo'at, "my granddaughter we need your help, during the last fight with the sky people left us hurt" Mo'at said pointing at the children
Y/n looked at all of them, the Omaticaya children leaned against another looking really beaten up, staring at y/n with pleading eyes before turning to her brothers before pulling them away.
"We should help them," y/n whispered the twins hissed while Kä'ey grabbed y/ns hand "But sister after all they've done to you why should we?" Tsu'ti asked crossing his arms over his chest while Tayätsi nodded "the children are not to blame my brothers, what if we we're in their place?" Y/n while picking up Kä'ey and holding him on her hip.
"Big sister has a point, what if it was us" Kä'ey asked. Tayätsi rolled his eyes "they would let us die because they are heartless" Tayätsi hissed y/n sighed "then we need to be better than them" y/n said gently.
The twins looked at their older sister, little brother than looking at each other before sighing they knew y/n spoke the truth "ok fine but if they try anything they'll answer to us if mother and father don't get to them first" Tsu'ti grumbled, Tayätsi looked away with his ears flattened.
Y/n turned back towards the sullys with Kä'ey still on her hip "I will bring you to my clan, that's all I can offer" y/n said Mo'at gave a small smile.
"Thank you ma daughter" neytiri and Jake said reaching out for y/n again only to have their hands smacked by the twins weapons.
"My name is y/n you shall call me by that name nothing more, also do not touch me" y/n growled before turning around and starting to walk.
~After a hour ~
Soon they all came to a stop "Welcome to my home" y/n said as everyone saw a village in the middle of the swamp. Y/n smiled as she grabbed the horn from her side before blowing it.
As the group walked closer to the village they saw the elder tsahík, current tsahík and the rest of the clan running towards them.
"Mother!" Y/n, Tayätsi, Tsu'ti, and Kä'ey yelled with a smile while running towards the group
"My children you're alright!" Zo'ile yelled hugging her four children tightly.
"When the children came back with Katir without the four of you we started to worry" Grandmother Leyra said with a gentle voice.
The warriors were relieved to see the young na'vis were safe but then growled and pointed their spears at the sullys.
"Mawey (calm) everyone Mawey please they need just help, some are hurt" y/n said still in her mother's arms
Zo'ile and neytiri looked at each other, zo'ile hugged her kids a bit tighter but nodded to Mo'at.
"Take them to the healing tent, we will help and give you a place to stay tonight. My husband
Nawmrui The Olo'eyktan, will be back tomorrow. Mother i will come help you in just a moment" Zo'ile said releasing the children.
Leyra nodded to her daughter before leading Mo'at and the sullys to the healers tent.
Zo'ile looked at her children "are you all ok?" She asked as she inspected them for injuries.
"We are fine mother." The kids said in unison. Zo'ile sighed before smiling.
(my art of y/n not my background though the base I found on Pinterest)
For the past 15 years y/n was raised along side her older brother At'ok (18) and her younger brothers Tayätsi, Tsu'ti, (twins boys 14) and Kä'ey (7) by Zo'ile, Neymar, Grandmother Leyra.
In the Dushnikh clan no one cared that she looked different, she brought nothing but good luck to the clan. To the clan y/n was a blessing sent from eywa.
Mo'at would come by from time to time to see her granddaughter and tell her about her siblings, y/n never cared enough to ask why she her ' parents ' didn't want her because she was loved and cared for by everyone in the clan. Her adopted family, her grandmothers and the clan have been there for every big milestone like,
at the age 7 she had bonded with a small thanator she named Katir, with Katir by her side y/ns first hunt fed the clan for 3 months.
Then on y/ns 11th birthday she had bonded with Toruk leonopteryx daughter y/n named Storm.
Anytime y/n would start doubting her self everyone in the clan would prove her wrong.
~present time~
Y/n smiled as she watched the children in her group gathering ingredients as some teens walked around near by looking for other ingredients with Katir watching near.
Every week y/n would take a group of kids and teens out to pick ingredients with permission from their families, the kids and teens have fun being away from home under the watchful eye of y/n.
A loud horn broke through the calm swampy area making the teens, the children and Katir jump.
Y/n quickly got up from her seat before pointing "I will go check it out, go back to the clan!" the children nodded and Katir made a grunt sound before getting up and nugging a few children forward.
The children knew that y/n was serious and not to argue with her, they knew Storm was watching from above somewhere so y/n would be safe while Katir made sure they made it back to the clan.
Y/n quickly made her way through the swampy shady area and up into the trees she was able to hear voices.
"You are not welcomed here only Mo'at is welcome leave" a voice hissed it was Tayätsi one of y/ns younger brothers.
Y/n looked down from the tree covered by the moss to see her three younger brothers Tayätsi, Tsu'ti and Kä'ey with their weapons drawn hissing at seven members of Omaticaya na'vis.
"Children they don't mean any harm, we-" Mo'at started but The adult male stepped in front of her.
"Look we mean you harm we just need help from your clan" the older male spoke as he stepped in front of Mo'at with his hands raised.
Tsu'ti, Tayätsi, and Kä'ey hissed and stepped back as the man stepped closer to them, Tsu'ti and Tayätsi made sure Kä'ey was behind them.
Y/n quietly had her daggers drawn, before making a animal sound.
Mo'ats ear twitched before smiling and looking towards the sound, she couldn't see her granddaughter but her granddaughter could see her.
Tsu'ti, Tayätsi, and Kä'ey slightly relaxed and took a step back. Y/n quickly jumped down and landed in front of her younger siblings before looking at the group letting out a low but threatening hiss, making the group flinch in surprise.
"My oldest granddaughter, Mawey everyone Mawey. " Mo'at said with a big smile as she walked towards y/n.
Y/n stood up from being crouched in front of her younger siblings before putting her daggers away, Mo'at gently cupped y/ns tan cheek making her smile gently.
"Grandmother it has been some time since you've visited, I see you have brought guests" y/n said looking at the sixs others standing not far from Mo'at.
I'll be using my oc names)
Gun fire, explosions and fighting filled the air as the Navi fought the rda to protect their home. While Jake and Neytiri were on the ground fighting quaritch y/n was in the sky fighting the helicopters and fighter jets with her irkan hawk and the other flyers.
"Quaritch is dead I repeat quaritch is dead!" Jakes voice filed the radios making all the Navi cheer as the rda retreated.
"We did it the rda is retreating!" Y/n replied as she heard neytiri and Norm cheering along with the other Navi from their radios
Y/n yelped as she felt a Sharp pain in her chest as she slipped off her irkans back y/n looked at her chest and saw she had been shot.
"Y/n? Sis what happened? Y/n!!?" Jake's voice filled y/ns ear as she fell, y/n saw hawk flying towards her trying to get to her before her eyes closed.
~With Jake ~
Neytiri had rushed Jake to his sister's link unit only to see his sister had flat lined.
"No! NO! Y/N WAKE UP!" Jake yelled as they opened the unit lid. "How did this happen?! Why didn't you wake up, please I can't lose you too.." Jake cried as he held his sister in his arms
Neytiri watched in sadness as her human mate tried to wake his sister with no luck.
She had lost her sister, her home, her father, her mentor, and now she lost one of her closet friends.
Jake had lost his brother, he gave up his planet for Pandora, lost one of his friends and now lost his only family left
Neytiri hugged her mate as he cried.
~with y/n~
When y/n woke up it smelled like a healers den, y/n reached up and up her head before slowly opening her eyes.
Y/n froze when she saw her arm was blue, y/n quickly sat up which made pain shot through her chest making her gasp in pain.
After a minute the pain faded y/n was confused why was she still in her avatar body? If something happened to the avatar she was supposed to go back to her own body.
While y/n was caught up in her own mind she didn't notice two Navi enter.
"Aw you're awake I see" a gentle voice filled the silence making y/n jump and look towards the doorway to see two dark blue Navis.
One who looked like a tsahìk
and one familiar looking warrior
The warrior looked very familiar, but y/n couldn't figure out why. The tsahìk sat next to y/n
"I need you to lay back so I can check your wound" the tsahìk said as she opened her medical pouch.
Y/n nodded before laying back down and looking at the warrior who smiled at her
"Do you recognize me dream walker?" He asked y/n looked at him before she shook her head no
"You do look familiar.." y/n whispered the warrior chuckled
"You helped me before" the warrior said as he pointed to his ankle, which had a scar around it.
Y/n gasped as she remembered everything
~flash back~
a week after y/n had gotten her avatar she was exploring the North part of camp when she found a dark blue Navi caught in a rda bear like trap, the Navi was hostile towards her with a knife in his hand.
He was hurt and y/n didn't want him to get hurt worse so she put her hands up.
"Me.. help.. you" y/n spoke slowly she was still learning the language hoping it would calm him down enough for her to help him.
"Lumpe sweylu oe trust nga unil walker! (Why should I trust you dream walker)" The Navi hissed as he tried to struggle again
Y/n sighed she could only understand Lumpe and trust
'man I wish I had more time to understand this language' y/n thought to her self.
"Me.. help.. you" y/n said again with her arms still up as she crouched down a foot away from the Navi.
The Navi looked at her then at his foot before slowly lowering his knife but keeping in his hands before sitting down on the group
"Help me" the Navi replied y/n nodded before slowly making her way to his foot.
The Navi kept a sharp eye on y/ns movements as she got closer to him, y/n soon was next to the bear trap.
"Might.. hurt" y/n said the Navi nodded and y/n began to pull the trap open making the Navi hiss in pain.
Soon y/n was able to open the trap enough for the Navi to yank his foot out.
Y/n was able to wrap his foot up before
The Navi was back on his feet quickly with a limp before y/n could say anything he ran off, making y/n sigh in relief that she was still alive.
After that encounter the Navi would randomly show up whenever y/n was alone.
They soon became friends
"At'ok, my name is At'ok" the warrior said pointing at himself y/n smiled
"I'm y/n"
~end of flash back~
Y/n looked at him "At'ok" y/n flinched as the tsahík gently cleaned her wound.
The warrior smiled "yes dream walker and this is my mother Tsatseyri she is tsahík" At'ok said as I looked at his mother who just finished rewrapping my chest.
Tsatseyri smiled at me "hello dear, my son has spoke fondly of you since you saved him." Tsatseyri said with a teasing smile at her son who huffed.
"You'll need to stay here until you fully heal" Tsatseyri continued as she put her stuff away.
"But.." y/n started but Tsatseyri hushed her
"Hush child. You saved my son and we saved you. Once you heal you may leave. My mate Tasun the Olo'eyktan has agreed for you to stay." Tsatseyri said with a mom voice y/n nodded.
Tsatseyri soon left the den leaving y/n and At'ok alone.
While y/n healed she had gotten to meet the Olo'eyktan Tasun
Who was hesitant while meeting her but soon warmed up to her.
Y/n also helped Tsatseyri around the healers den when ever she wasn't resting.
When y/n wasnt helping Tsatseyri or resting she was by At'oks side.
Tasun and Tsatseyri watched from afar
"Ma Tasun, I think our son is in love. She might be a dream walker but she has the skills of a healer. She learns quickly" Tsatseyri said as she gently rubbed her mates arm, making him smile.
"You are right ma Tsatseyri, but she is getting better if our son doesn't say anything soon she'll leave and he'll be heartbroken. You saw how worried he was when he brought her here." Tasun said as he held his mates hand.
"I'll talk to her while you talk to our son?" Tsatseyri asked Tasun nodded in agreement.
~a few hours later~
Tasun had taken At'ok for some Olo'eyktan training while Tsatseyri asked y/n to help her in the healers den
Y/n sat in front of Tsatseyri crushing ingredients when Tsatseyri spoke up.
"So y/n tell me, what do you think of my son?" Tsatseyri asked
"Oh I think he's a great warrior, and a great guy. Why tsahík Tsatseyri?" Y/n asked the elder who smiled at her.
"He could take care of you if you stayed here" Tsatseyri said with a hopeful look.
Y/n felt her face heat up before looking away. " I couldn't do that to him. I'm a dream walker and I wouldn't want him to lose his title." Y/n said not looking at Tsatseyri.
Tsatseyri huffed before putting the ingredients down before talking y/ns hands in her own making y/n look at the elder.
"Child, we respect you, the clan respects you, ewya has brought you to us, my son loves you deeply. We would love for you to stay." Tsatseyri said sternly.
Y/n smiled she felt wanted.
Yes she had Jake but when Jake fell in love with neytiri he would push y/n aside. Y/n knew that her brother was in love and y/n wasn't the only important person in his life anymore but she always felt like she burdened her brother.
"If At'ok asks for me to stay I will. I love him and I don't want to leave him." Y/n said with tears in her eyes.
Tsatseyri gently rubbed y/ns cheeks with a gentle smile
"Give him time he's a bit slow just like his father" Tsatseyri teased making y/n chuckle.
~ Tasun and At'ok
While Tasun and At'ok sparred
"So a dream walker huh?" Tasun asked as At'ok blocked his hit
"What are you getting at father?" At'ok asked pushing Tasun's weapon back.
"I'm talking about how you look at y/n boy" Tasun replied making At'ok freeze only to be tripped by his father.
At'ok landed hard on the ground as his father pointed his weapon at him.
"I see how you look at her son. It's the same way I look at your mother" Tasun said with a chuckle before helping his son back to his feet.
"Father." At'ok warned making Tasun chuckle before signing
"Son, tell her how you feel. Do not wait you might lose her. So tell her how you feel." Tasun said gently patting his son's shoulder in approval.
At'ok smiled before running off to the healers den to talk to y/n.
~later~
Y/n and At'ok walked silently through the spirit trees side by side.
"Y/n." "At'ok"
Y/n and At'ok spoke at the same time, before chucking.
At'ok gently cupped y/ns hands "y/n listen- I... I see you" At'ok started y/n smiled "At'ok I see you"
At'ok smiled before gently placing his forehead against hers.
(Y/n and her adopted family
Grandmother Leyra
Mother zo'ile
Father nawmrui
Older brother At'ok
Younger brothers Tayätsi and Tsu'ti (15 years old twins)
And baby brother kä'ey (8 years old)
Plus Mo'at
They will be introduced in this part ))
The sun has risen starting a new day and y/n had just slowly gotten out of bed when a small force rammed into her making her fall back into her bed. Y/n groaned in surprise before looking down to see a young na'vi boy smiling up at her
"Tsìltsan rewon tsawl tsmuke! (Good morning big sister!)" The young one said excitedly
Y/n smiled before hugging the young na'vi
"Kä'ey ma Hì'i tsmukan tsìltsan rewon! (my little brother good morning!)" Y/n said with a smile.
"Sa'nok (mother) said you were sad last night, so I've come this morning to see if you're feeling better!" Kä'ey said as he got out of his sister's arms and sat beside her.
Y/n gently patted her baby brothers head " thank you kä'ey. I feel a little better now" y/n said as she stood up making kä'ey follow beside her.
"Come let's go get breakfast with Sa'nok (mother) and grandmother" y/n said as her baby brother grabbed her hand.
"Today is the day that Sempul ulte tsawl tsmukan (father and big brothers) come back from training with the Elsweyr clan!" Kä'ey said excitedly y/n nodded
"Yes it is! I can't wait to see Sempul ulte tsmukans (father and brothers)! But we won't be able to celebrate much because we have visitors waiting to talk to Sempul (father)" y/n said as they got closer to their Sa'noks tent
Kä'ey nodded before running in.
"Tsìltsan rewon my prrnens (Good morning my babies)" zo'ile said with a smile as she sat with Leyra , making the elder chuckle
"Tsìltsan rewon Sa'nok(good morning mother), grandmother Leyra" y/n said as kä'ey dragged her to sit beside him.
"Grandmother Leyra, where is grandmother Mo'at?" Y/n asked looking up at her grandmother who was drinking.
Leyra sighed before putting her cup down
"She is speaking to our guest, hopefully she can knock some sense into them before your Sempul (father) gets here. That Jake Sully is a really stubborn Skxawng (idiot). He kept asking for you to come stay in their hut last night, tried to fight a guard to get into your hut, then tried again this morning before Mo'at smacked him" Leyra said rubbing her forehead.
Y/n reached over and gently grabbed her grandmothers hand "I am sorry for bringing them grandmother-" before y/n could finish speaking Leyra chuckled
"My granddaughter you've done nothing wrong. They needed help and you brought them here to be helped" Leyra said with a proud smile.
~After eating~
Kä'ey had ran off with Leyra as y/n stayed to help zo'ile clean up
"So your Sempul ulte tsmukans (father and brothers) should be back sometime today, listen out for the horns ok" zo'ile said as her and y/n got done putting everything away y/n nodded
"Oh I will I'm excited! I get to tell Sempul ulte tsmukans (father and brothers) what they missed, the past few weeks!" Y/n said excitedly making Zo'ile smile
"Do you think your mate will be with them?" Zo'ile asked with a teasing smile as they stepped out of the hut y/ns ears turned pink a few elders walking past aldo have a teasing smile and chuckles
"SA'NOK! We're just friends!" Y/n yelled in embarrassment
As the few elders and zo'ile laughed lightly to the flushed girl as she hid her face from everyone neytiri watched from a far, jealousy filled her chest.
She was your mother not zo'ile,
she should have a close bond with you not zo'ile,
She should be called Sa'nok not zo'ile
*Great mother what did we do to deserve this? My own daughter doesn't see me as her mother, she doesn't like me or my Jake. What did we do to deserve this?* Neytiri thought to herself.
Mo'at walked up beside her daughter to see her glaring at zo'ile teasing a very pink y/n.
"You and Jake made your decision by giving her up, don't be upset that she doesn't see you as her mother" Mo'at said shaking her head and walking away from her daughter.
Neytiri sighed they will prove that you belong with them not here.
~a little while later~
The sully children and spider where sitting together under a tree talking to each other, when y/n and kä'ey walked past them.
"Hi Tsawl tsmuke (big sister) y/n!" Tuk yelled making the sullys and spider look to where Tuk yelled, to see the tan na'vi with a little na'vi boy standing beside her.
Y/n and kä'ey walked towards the Sully's "hello" y/n said with a small smile. Kä'ey tugged on y/ns arm making her lean down and pick him up.
"Who is that?" Lo'ak asked pointing at the child who glared at the group from his older sisters shoulder.
"This is my Prrnen tsmukan (baby brother) Kä'ey" y/n said with a smile everyone froze
"Prrnen tsmukan? (Baby brother?)" The group asked before looking at each other.
"But y/n we're your siblings Sa'nok and Sempul (mother and father) are your parents" tuk said, y/n shock her head
Jake and Norm had walked over to the group "Ahh it's nice to see my family finally together." Jake said as he placed a hand on y/ns shoulder,
Making y/n, Kä'ey and a few guards hiss at him making him quickly retract his hand and put them up in defense as the guards raised their spears at him, Kä'ey hugged y/n tighter
"Sempul ulte tsmukans (Father and brothers!) are home!" Y/n and kä'ey said excitedly. Kä'ey jumped out of y/ns arms before taking off y/n following behind him.
As the two ran to the ship they saw everyone unloading before seeing a larger figure talking to some hunters
"SEMPUL!!!!" Y/N and kä'ey yelled making the larger Na'vis ears perk up, before turning towards the voices
"HAHA! Ma youngest itan ulte ma 'ite!!! (My youngest son and my daughter!!!)" Nawmrui yelled before getting down on one knee and opening his arms wide.
Kä'ey and y/n crashed full force into their father's awaiting arms, knocking him down onto his back.
The Eyktan (leader/Chief) laughed as he held two of his five children with a huge smile on his face.
"Aw we don't get a hug Tsawl tsmuke (big sister) Prrnen tsmukan (baby brother)?" A voice asked y/n looked up from her father to see her younger brothers Tsu'ti and Tayätsi crouching looking down at them
"Tsu'ti, Tayätsi!!" Y/n said happily as she got out of her father's grip and hugged the twins making them laugh and hugged their older sister back.
A thud was heard behind the group and when y/n turned around she saw her oldest brother At'ok who had placed a box down and helped their father back to his feet.
Y/n smiled before letting the twins go and turning towards her older brother they smiled and hugged each other.
"I see your here and well. How was your trip into the woods" At'ok asked y/n sighed but before she could speak kä'ey spoke
"Sempul ulte tsmukans (father and brothers brothers) the Sully's are here and they made Tsawl tsmuke upset. They also said they are her family" kä'ey said as he looked down at his father from his shoulders.
Everyone around the family froze before looking at y/n. Nawmrui eyes widden before looking down at his small daughter whos ears flattened a little
"Sempul they came for help and they were hurt, I just wanted to help. Sa'nok let them stay the night and heal, and she left judgement for you" y/n said rubbing her arm.
Nawmrui took a breath before gently patting his daughter's head
"It's ok ma daughter." He said with a smile before telling everyone to continue unloading everything before he made his way to the healers tent.
~Later~
The sullys and their human friends sat in the Eyktan hut in front of the large leader. Nawmrui glared at Jake with hatred. Nawmrui children and Mo'at sat beside him, as the sully children sat beside their parents.
"Tell me why have you come here," nawmrui growled but calmed down when his mate Zo'ile gently pat his leg.
"Eyktan Nawmrui we've come seeking help, shelter, and to be near our daughter." Jake said said with a bow neytiri bow beside him
At'ok laughed before standing up glaring at the Sully's
"Your daughter? YOUR DAUGHTER?! you and your mate gave her up a week after birth because she was different! My parents, my grandmother, Mo'at, and our clan raised her! Not you!" At'ok hissed.
"We had no choice boy." Jake hissed
"Silence!" Nawmrui yelled making everyone freeze.
"Sullys we will help you but you will realize that y/n and Mo'at are part of our family and clan. Y/n will not answer to you" Nawmrui said calmly. Before standing up
"Everyone but Jake out" nawmrui said dismissing everyone for the night.
Everyone left and went to their own huts, leaving nawmrui towering over the Sully's.
(Brought to you by princess diaries)
"We will help your family and friends but
If you hurt my girl, you will answer directly to me, and whatever crimes I commit against you, remember, I have diplomatic immunity in 46 clans, including the fire and ash clan." Nawmrui growled,
Jake stood up straighter " Sir, you will find that the word "fear" is not in my vocabulary!" Jake tried to look unfazed.
Nawmrui chuckled "Perhaps... but it's in your eyes. Now get out" nawmrui pointed towards the door.
Jake quickly left, and nawmrui sighed before going to find his family. When he walked into his daughter's huts he sees y/n being hugged protectively by Leyra, zo'ile, At'ok, Tsu'ti, Tayätsi, and Kä'ey. Nawmrui smiled "make room for Sempul" nawmrui said walking into the hut.
Y/ns tail flicked in anger but she tried to stay calm because there were children around.
(Everything in this front is English)
The Leonopteryx growled before y/n sent her to go back to flying, leaving the thanator standing beside her.
"Grandmother Why have you brought them here?" Y/n asked looking over at Mo'at.
"We-' Jake Sully started to speak but y/n put a hand up with a hiss
"I am asking Mo'at my grandmother, the tsahík" y/n hissed at the na'vi.
Neytiri hissed back as she stepped in front of her mate "how dare you speak to him like that, he is Toruk Makto," neytiri said with a smug look on her face
Y/n rolled her eyes "if he is toruk makto call your Leonopteryx" y/n said crossing her arms over her chest.
"I can't I haven't seen him in years" Jake said putting a hand on neytiris back to calm her down.
Y/n laughed everyone was shocked "that means he no longer finds you worthy. You might've been Toruk Makto a long time ago but now you are not." Y/n said bluntly before looking back at her grandmother
"I'm sorry about being interrupted, but my grandmother why?" Y/n asked Mo'at shock her head at Jake and neytiri
"Ma granddaughter, we need your help. Your siblings, and Jakes friends got hurt during the last fight with the sky people" Mo'at said pointing at some of the members
Y/n looked at all of them, the Omaticaya children leaned against another and a few humans looked beaten up.
Y/n had walked over to the children "I will bring you to my clan, tsahík will help heal you, that's all I can offer" y/n said Mo'at nodded
"Young Omaticayas, would you all be ok if I put you on the back of my thanator?" Y/n asked the children nodded.
Once she got the nod she called her thanator ezma over before placing them on her back, before turning towards the humans before she could speak a hand landed on her shoulder.
Y/n looked up at the teenager girl "Please don't send them away, they're our friends" she begged
"Do not worry kiri I will not send them away" y/n said the teens eyes widden before nodding, Y/n placed a hand on kiris with a smile, the four children smiled back
Y/n turned towards the humans "you child step forward." Y/n said pointing at spider. Everyone but Mo'at was surprised she could speak English, spider slowly stepped forward " do you want to ride my thanator or walk?" Y/n asked spiders face lit up "Really you'll let me ride?!" Spider asked excitedly y/n nodded before picking up the small being and putting him behind kiri.
"Other humans, I will carry the two of you unless you wish to walk" y/n said looking at max and Norm.
"We'll be ok walking thank you." Norm said shaking his head y/n nodded before starting to walk followed by Mo'at and Ezma
"Thank you ma daughter" neytiri said quickly
"My name is y/n you shall call me by that name nothing more" y/n growled.
As everyone followed y/n through the swamp Jake and neytiri looked at their oldest daughter
She talked with their other children and answered their questions, answer their human friends questions but would only give Jake and neytiri short answers.
~After a hour ~
Soon they all came to a stop "Welcome to my home" y/n said as everyone saw a village in the middle of the swamp
As the group walked closer to the village they saw a bunch of warriors getting ready to take flight, with a tsahík giving orders.
Y/n patted her thanator before running towards the tsahík "Sa'nok!" Y/n yelled making the large na'vi turn around quickly and rush towards her. Neytiri growled under her breath
"My 'ite! (My daughter)" Zo'ile yelled running towards her daughter, before trapping her in a tight hug.
The warriors where relieved the young na'vi was safe but the growled and pointed their spears at the Omaticaya and humans
"Mawey (calm) everyone Mawey please they need just help, some are hurt" y/n said still in her mother's arms
Zo'ile and zeytiri looked at each other, zo'ile hugged y/n a bit tighter but nodding to Mo'at
"Take them to the healing tent, we will help and give you a place to stay tonight. My mate Nawmrui The Olo'eyktan, will be back tomorrow." Zo'ile said standing to full height.
Mo'at nodded before leading the Sully's and the humans to the healers tent.
After Leyra helped the Sully's and the humans they were set in two huts one for the Sully's and the other for the humans, for the night.
Some of the warriors brought them food, before leaving them for the night.
Zo'ile, Leyra and Mo'at sat with y/n in y/ns hut
"Sa'nok (mother) grandmothers I'm ok." Y/n said with a sad smile, but her family didn't believe her.
"My 'ite (my daughter) don't lie to your Sa'nok (mother)" zo'ile said crossing her arms. Before pulling her daughter to her
Y/n had tears form in her eyes "I'll be ok." Y/n said rubbing her eyes.
Zo'ile, Leyra and Mo'at hugged her, feeling bad for the child, it was going to be a long night.
~present time~
For the past 16 years y/n was raised with At'ok by Zo'ile and Neymar, no one cared that she looked different, she brought nothing but good luck to the clan. To the clan y/n was a blessing sent from eywa. Mo'at would come by from time to time to see her granddaughter and tell her about her siblings, y/n never cared enough to ask why she her ' parents ' didn't want her because she was loved and cared for by everyone in the clan. Her adopted family, her grandmothers and the clan has been there for every big milestone. Anytime she would start doubting her self everyone would prove her wrong.
Y/n sat in the tsahìks tent helping Leyra and zo'ile tend to the sick and injured, Leyra looked down at the teenager with care in her eyes
"Ma y/n are you ok my Hì'i 'aw( little one)?" Leyra asked as the sick child she was helping fell asleep. Y/n nodded
"Yes grandmother Leyra, I'm just thinking about going out to fly and pick some more herds while I'm out, also there's something in the breeze so I'm going to fly around and see what's out there" y/n said as she gently placed a light/thin blanket over a sleeping hurt elder.
Leyra smiled at y/n, "alright ma Hì'i 'aw (little one)." Leyra said smiling
Zo'ile came over and gently patted her daughters head "please take your horn, even though you have stormy, you still might need help. Yes she is big but you never know ma 'ite (daughter)" Zo'ile said as she smiled down at her daughter.
(Think of this size difference. Love gyomei)
Y/n laughed slightly "Sa'nok! (Mother!) I'll be fine but I will take my horn" y/n said gently grabbing her mother's hand and placed it in her check making Zo'ile smile and gently kiss her childs forehead.
Y/n waved good bye to her grandmother and mother as she ran out of the hut. Y/n greeted everyone she passed as she made her way to the ikran landing.
"Off on another adventure Hì'i tsamsiyu (little warrior) ((couldn't find a name for adventurer))" a elder asked as y/n ran past. Y/n came to a stop
"yes sir, I'm going to get some herbs and I feel something off so I want to investigate" y/n said the elder nodded as he saw the horn on her hip
"Be safe Hì'i tsamsiyu (little warrior)." The elder bowed his head
Y/n bowed back before continuing on her way to the ikran landing before she could call her ikran she was picked up making her yelp. Y/n looked up to see her big brother At'ok
"Tsawl tsmukan! (Big brother!)" Y/n said cheerfully making At'ok smile before putting her down
"Hey Hì'i tsmuke (little sister), going out?" At'ok asked crouching down to his sister's eye level, he knows it makes her mad so he wanted to tease her.
Y/n huffed before gently pushing making him lose his balance making him fall on his rear, At'ok huffed up at his little sister making her chuckle slightly
"Yep! About to go flying around. Something's up
I can feel it in the breeze." Y/n said reaching out to help her brother back to his feet At'ok took her small hand and got back up.
"Do you have your horn?" At'ok asked with a serious tone y/n smiled and rolled her eyes
"Yes big brother, you are as protective as everyone else in this clan" y/n teased but saw how serious At'ok was she placed a hand on his forearm "Tsawl tsmukan (big brother) I will be fine, I have my horn and If I need help I will call." Y/n said trying to reassure her brother.
At'ok gently grabbed y/ns hand "Hì'i tsmuke (little sister) should I stay just in case, Sempul (father) would understand why I didn't meet him half way." At'ok asked y/n shock her head.
"No At'ok, Sempul (father) needed you to meet him half way. We have warriors here, I can handle my own until they come. I promise I'll be ok Tsawl tsmukan (big brother). Plus I have stormy!" Y/n said with a smile as a large irkan landed behind the two.
At'ok looked at his sister before looking up at the large irkan that towered over both of them.
At'ok smiled as stormy leaned down as he reached up to pet y/ns ikran.
"Take care of my sister Stormy" At'ok said as the ikran purred loudly and rubbed her head against y/n.
Y/n smiled before climbing on the back of the purple great leonopteryx "go meet Sempul (father) At'ok I'll be fine" y/n said smiling down at her brother who nodded.
"Great mother bless you sister" At'ok said as y/n and Stormy flew off.
~ about 30 minutes later~
Y/n had noticed some animals avoiding a certain area so she had stormy land a bit far away. Y/n got off the ikran before sending her to scout the area from above. Y/n moved through the swamp water, high grass and trees trying to see what's got the animals afraid, when she was high in a tree only to see a group of 7 members of Omaticaya na'vi with 3 humans.
Y/n saw her grandmother shaking her head no as the 'leader' of the Omaticaya clan talked to her
"Mo'at please just tell us which way to go" the leader begged the elder who just shook her head
"I can not help you because I am lost my self, You didn't listen to me this is your own fault Jake Sully" Mo'at hissed at the male.
The leaders of Omaticaya and human adults started talking as the children sat down to rest.
Y/n felt a growl in her throat but she didn't release it she needed to keep under cover so she could watch from afar, but she did let a animal call out to let her grandmother know she was here.
Mo'ats ear twitched before smiling and looking towards the sound, she couldn't see her granddaughter but her granddaughter could see her.
Mo'at knew the group was tired some where hurt she wanted to prove Jake wrong, but the group needed help.
Mo'at looked up at the tree before making the same sound and eyeone looked at her
"Mother what are you-" neytiri was cut off when a na'vi landed in front of Mo'at.
The group was ready to fight but Mo'at spoke "Mawey (calm) everyone Mawey, she won't hurt anyone" Mo'at spoke.
Everyone looked at the tan na'vi in front of them
She looked exactly like a teenaged neytiri but with tan skin.
"Mama is that our sister?" Tuk asked
All the sully children looked at the na'vi they have seen only two photos of her.
One with her when she was just literally a week old and one grandmother had showed them.
They finally get to meet their big sister.
Neytiri grasped a hold of Jakes arm before slowly walking closer to y/n.
"After 16 years, I finally get to see my oldest daughter again." Jake said as he gently grabbed her arm before he could cup her face she slapped his hand away.
"No touching" y/n hissed
Neytiri walked over "my daughter, it is us your Sa'nok ulte sempul (mother and father)" neytiri whispered
Y/n growled "no you are not, my Sa'nok is back at my village and my Sempul is his way back from a hunt. I am not your daughter now unhand me before you get bitten. Grandmother tell him to let go" y/n hissed
Before anyone could say anything a large irkan landed behind y/n hissing and flapping it's large wings at Jake, making him release y/ns arm and fall on his rear, and a thanator ran to the left side of y/n
The large irkan placed it's head on y/ns right shoulder and the thanator rubbed up against y/ns left hand
"Everyone meet my oldest grandchild y/n." Mo'at said walking up beside y/n and hugging her.
After the hug y/n stared at the group with no emotion in her eyes.
y/n sully is the oldest daughter of the Sully's twin sister of Neteyam. Even though y/n was a na'vi she came out smaller than a normal Navi baby and her skin was a sky demon tan color. She was given away a week after birth. After 16 years the Sully's reunited with y/n but y/n has a new family and doesn't consider the Sully's her family besides Mo'at.
(art isn't mine unless I say it is. The names I picked out.
I've been wanting to do this story for a while and I finally got the push I needed for it, this is just one of my avatar stories)
y/n and clan / prologue
Y/n (16 years old)
The eldest daughter of the Sully's twin sister of Neteyam.
Belongs to the Dushnikh clan a terrifying, strong but caring clan.
The Dushnikh clan is a clan of the tallest, green orcish Navis
The clan is located in a swampy area.
(The clan and characters are my ocs but the name of the clan is from a Skyrim its a orc strong hold)
~prologue 16 years ago~
The battle had ended with hells gates a few months ago when neytiri had went into labor. After many hours of pain Neytiri had given birth to her children, a little girl and a little boy named y/n and Neteyam, but y/n came out wrong, y/n was much smaller than a normal na'vi newborn she was human newborn size, her skin was a tannish color with light blue strips and she had five fingers, she did have na'vi ears, nose, kuru, and tail. Neytiri held the small new born looking up at Jake "Ma Jake.." she started Jake shock his head "don't worry my love" he replied at first they were happy to have both of the twins but soon some of the clan started talking "that baby is a demon!" "You need to get rid of it!" "Demon blood!" Neytiri and Jack did their best to ignore them.
~ a week later~
"My daughter don't do this! Please let her hear the great mother!" Mo'at begged as her daughter and son-in-law were about to give their daughter away.
"No mother. I am her mother I know what's best for her. We need to protect our family and clan" neytiri said as she gave her week old daughter to norm, while Neteyam cried from the wrapping of his mother's chest, Jake held kiri as he talked to Norm.
"She is family!" Mo'at hissed
Jack stepped between his mate and her mother
"Enough we made our choice" Jake hissed
Mo'at hissed back before grabbing the week old baby girl from norm "Fine I will take her somewhere where she can grow up in peace" Mo'at growled holding the baby closer to her chest
"Mother-" neytiri started but was cut off
"Enough! I am your mother and one of the elders! My choice over rules yours!" Mo'at hissed neytiri and Jack stepped back.
"I am her father give me my daughter" Jake said trying to grab y/n
Mo'at hissed again "No! I have spoken Jack Sully, the other elders agree with me, she deserves to live in peace"
"Mother where are you taking her? Let us come with you, I want to know that my daughter is safe" neytiri offers
Mo'at shock her head "No! Stay here, I will make sure she is safe" Mo'at said walking away with the baby.
~sometime later ~
Mo'at had sat in the hut with another larger elder sitting in front of her
"Mo'at my old friend, it's nice to see you but what's brought you to our home?" The elder in front Mo'at asked
"Leyra my old friend, as you know my daughter had her child a week ago. But my daughter has given up her daughter because she looks different." Mo'at said as she opened the baby carrier on her chest.
The elder na'vi gasped "These young ones always think they know what's best. Did you talk to her about her fate if she does this?" Leyra said as she looked at the small tan na'vi child staring back at her with an incorrect toothless smile.
Mo'at nodded as she looked down at the week old "yes but my daughter and her husband didn't listen.. they said they know what's best for their family."
Leyra and Mo'at turned when they heard the beads at the opening move to see another large female na'vi holding a small toddler
"My apologies mother and Mo'at" the female na'vi spoke with a bow Mo'at and Leyra smiled
"Zo'ile it has been to long, I see you have a small one" Mo'at said with a smile as the young na'vi walked over to her mother's friend.
Leyra smiled as her daughter sat beside her "Zo'ile I was about to call for you" Leyra said smiling at her daughter "Mo'at has brought her granddaughter to us, to be raised and cared for"
Zo'ile froze when her mother said those words before looking at Mo'at who held the small tan na'vi and her son At'ok standing by Mo'at smiling at the baby. Zo'ile reached out and Mo'at smiled before handing her the small baby.
"Her name is y/n" Mo'at said as she handed zo'ile the baby
Zo'ile smiled her heart had acked for the baby her son At'ok got into his mother's arms and stared at the baby as well "Tsmuke (sister)" At'ok said smiling zo'ile smiled before looking back at her mother and Mo'at "mother can she stay here I can raise her as my own, of course she'll know Mo'at as her grandmother as well. Please" zo'ile begged slightly.
Leyra and Mo'at smiled, Mo'at knew from then on her granddaughter would be loved and cared for from someone other than her. Leyra looked at her old friend
"Mo'at" she asked Mo'at smiled
"As long as you're ok with it my old friend" Mo'at replied
Leyra smiled "she'll be loved, cared for and excepted" Leyra said as they watched At'ok and y/n fell asleep in Zo'iles arms against her chest making her smile
(Something like this)
(Go look up artsofmetamoor! Love their avatar au)
Mo'at smiled sadly she didn't want to leave her first grandchild but her people really needed her and she knew y/n would have a better life here. "goodbye ma granddaughter I will come visit when I can, and thank you again leyra, zo'ile" Mo'at said getting up
leyra nodded and got up as well followed by zo'ile "of course my friend anything for you" she said hugging the smaller Forest na'vi.
Mo'at nodded and left the hut, zo'ile looked down at her children "mother why would neytiri give up her child?" Zo'ile asked Leyra shook her head
"Sometime na'vi forget the ways we were taught, they think they know best until eywa shows that you're wrong. Neytiri gave the child up because some sharp words spoken by her clan" Leyra said as she looked at her daughter, before walking away to grab crushed up herbs
"The day will come where we will have to tell her but until then, she will be raised the way of our people" leyra said gently rubbed the herd on the baby's head making her giggle in her sleep zo'ile smiled.
"Good night mother" zo'ile said as she walked out of the hut
"Good night ma daughter"
Zo'ile walked into her hut on to meet the chest of her mate Nawmrui.
"Ma Zo'ile are you and At'ok alright what took so long?" Nawmrui asked before his eyes widden at the sight of the smaller na'vi in his mate and childs arms.
"Ma Nawmrui, Mo'at had came by for a visit and she brought her granddaughter. Neytiri and her mate didn't want the baby, when I laid eyes on her I felt the great mother telling me to take her in as my own." Zo'ile said holding the baby's close
Nawmrui slowly got down on his knees to see the baby clearly, y/n had opened her sleepy eyes before giggle and reaching out for nawmrui gently placing her hand on his nose.
Nawmrui smiled "Oh great mother has blessed us with not one amazing child but now two. I am blessed" Nawmrui said as he got up and gently hugged his wife and his two children.
The next morning y/n had been introduced to the clan and they watched as y/ns kuru was connected to their spirit tree. The tree grew brighter and the clan was overjoyed to see the newest member of the Dushnikh clan
Nawmrui and zo'ile stared at their two children with nothing but love and care.
If the Sully's didn't want y/n the Dushnikh clan definitely did.

"Your sister represented a significant investment." An agent says behind her. The words don't register in her head until her sister's box is up in flames.
Sylvia was the scientist, not me. She was the one who wanted to travel light years into space to prove there was more than just surviving.
Orange was more Sylvia's color, anyways. Naomi lets the warmth bathe her skin, hoping it would be enough to burn away the pain.
Me? I was just another stupid girl doing something she was gonna regret.

I think some people overlook the fact that most of the main characters in Avatar: the Way of Water are younger than they look.
This man is 15. Neteyam is 15. DOES HE LOOK 15 TO YOU? i mean hey- im 15 too, im not complaining, but he really doesn't look it lol
Lo'ak is 13/14 (there's some debate). He looks 16/17, but nooooo, he's FOURTEEN (at most)
Kiri? she's 14 too
Tsireya is 13
Aonung is 15.
Do Na'vi just look really mature for their ages? LOL The only child main character of this movie that looks her age is Tuk (She's 6/7)
I've metamorphisized (that's spelled wrong but i don't care)

Pairing: Human! Colonel Miles Quaritch x Human! Female! Reader Tags/Warning: hurt, comfort, established relationship, slight angst, crying, period cramps Summary: Period pains aren't the only pain you're dealing with right now. You're grateful that your husband is there to comfort you.
Author's Note: So I wrote this, then didn't like what I wrote so I rewrote it TwT For the request from @idrinktheadarling Hope it's to your liking! Apologies as always for any grammatical mistakes.
You didn’t think something so insignificant could affect you to such a degree.
But it wasn’t insignificant, now was it?
The seemingly inoffensive pink line stares back at you.
Singular.
Negative.
You throw the pregnancy test in the trash, washing your hands with gusto as if to wash away the pain.
And it was not just the physical pain of your impending period that assaults you. Your heart is aching something fierce. You feel guilty. It was as if, what right did you have, to dream of such things? What deeds have you done, to earn such happiness?
If Eywa was real, then she did not bless you this day. If God was real, then you feel as though you are far beyond his reach.
You had been so sure, yet cautiously hoping. Your period was late, as was indicated on the app you used to track it. The pains you got were always severe, sometimes taking you out of commission completely.
You remember that you need to tell Grace you won’t be available for any field work for a few days, perhaps even a whole week. You call her through the commlink. True to her name, she was gracious in understanding of your situation. She can tell something is off; there is a troubled cadence to your voice underneath your hisses of pain. She doesn’t press you for answers. You ask her to send your husband your way should she see him.
Once you’re done with your call, you meander to the bed, carefully laying yourself on Miles’ side. His pillow smells so faintly of his cologne. And even though you clearly have matching bedding, his pillow somehow felt just that much softer.
Another slice of pain cuts through you, and you clench your teeth to bear through it. Fucking hell, you wish you could be in your Avatar right now. Never have you felt so envious of, what was essentially just another you; the Na’vi didn’t have periods like humans did.
You smile at the memory of when Grace had regaled you with the tale of mortified looks from the older Omatikayan children’s faces when she had explained the concept to them all years ago. You had laughed until your stomach ached when she tried imitating them.
“‘Sa’nok! Are you bleeding now?? Are you okay, does it hurt???’ Oh, poor Tsu’tey was beside himself!” Grace laughs with a hand to her heart. She’s still giggling when she tries making a disgruntled face, pretending to swat someone behind the head.
“‘Tsk! Skxáwng! It’s probably impolite to ask such things! Sorry Sa’nok, please pay him no mind.’ Sylwanin gave him an earful for that one. She was always so bright that one, wise beyond her years…” Her voice trails off then. You see the shift in her gaze, the sadness behind her faltering smile. Even years later, the pain of what those soldiers did still lingers...
Another stab of pain interrupts your trip down memory lane. You curse out loud, clutching your abdomen. You don’t feel like stumbling through the base to medical for some pain killers.
You close your eyes, trying your best to will yourself to sleep. If Eywa could not bless you with a child, then maybe she would at least let slumber take you.
---
When next you open your eyes, you look out the window to see night has already fallen. The pain has subsided to a dull ache. You notice then, that a hot water bottle has been nestled against you, with your hands carefully maneuvered to hold it in place.
What? Who? When?
The answer is immediately obvious. The sounds from the bathroom catch your ears; the shower is running, and you can hear the faint yet distinct sound of familiar humming. Miles must have come in some time whilst you slept on, placing the warm bottle where it now lay.
You let out a deep content sigh, readjusting yourself and the bottle to be more comfortable on your side, facing away from the bathroom door. You eye then catches the items placed on the bedside table. There is a thermos, and when you reach out to touch it, the bottle still feels hot. Beside it sits some pain killers in a small plastic cup.
You sit up, propping yourself against the pillows. And as you do, you see the bag sitting at your bedside. It’s filled with little boxes and packets of your favourite snacks; at least the ones available here on Pandora.
You lip quivers, and you feel as though you could cry. You love the small gestures just as much as the grand. You clear your throat, vigorously rubbing your cheeks to stop yourself from crying. You grab the thermos. You unscrew the lid and sniff the hot contents. The smell is delectable and enticing. Your pour yourself some in the lid and drink it down greedily.
You sit there, drinking from the thermos in quiet contemplation.
The dull ache in your lower abdomen pulls your mind back to that accursed test in bin. You wonder if Miles saw it, what would say? Would he share in your sadness? Would he be relieved? Would he berate you for wanting to even start a family?
But what was really waiting for you there? A dying world? Was there even anything worth going back for? You had no immediate family. The only family you truly had now, was here, on this planet light years away. And who knew how long you’d even be stationed here anyway; this was for all intents and purposes your new home. And despite its rough edges, you loved this place to bits.
Did you even want to start a family on Pandora? You know all too well the hostility of this place. It was probably a stupid idea, wanting to have kids here. It would be a far better idea to wait until you’re both shipped back home.
And you love your husband dearly. And you are certain, without a shadow of a doubt, he loves you back just as much. You feel apprehensive though; the two of you had spoken of kids before, but it was always around ‘when we get back home’. Pandora never did feel like home for him; probably never would.
Your lips press into a thin line as your mind spirals lower. Why this time, out of all the other times…Why was it this particular time, that you’re so disappointed?
You don’t even realize the noise from the bathroom has stopped. Nor do you even register when Miles emerges from the bathroom dressed for bed.
---
Miles stops himself in the doorway of the bathroom, leaning on the door frame. He takes the time to stare at you, study you. You’re sitting up in bed, drinking from the thermos he brought. Your eyes are unfocused, staring blanking ahead. He wonders what’s on your mind, but he has a pretty good idea of what it could be. He had seen the test in the bin. Luckily, he didn’t need to pick it up; it had been facing upward, the pink line in plain sight.
He watches the micro expressions that dance across your face as your mind wonders. There is a tightness in his chest, and he quietly grimaces. He knows he needs to talk to you; you are clearly upset and the air needs to be cleared. When he sees the threat of tears in your eyes, the quiver of your lip, he swiftly pushes himself off the wall.
---
The sound of his approach has you snap your head up to him. It takes you a moment to register, but you offer him a gentle smile. It does not reach your eyes.
“Hi honey,” you greet him, holding up the thermos. “Thanks for this, I really need it. All of it, actually…” You return the thermos to the bedside.
“It’s no trouble sweetheart, anything for my best girl.” He lays down beside you, pulling you into his arms does. You nestle yourself into his side, head resting on his shoulder, hand resting on his chest, the hot water bottle sandwiched between you two.
“[Y/N]…Are you okay?”
It’s such a simple question. Requires a simple answer.
Instead you cry. He turns himself to face you, arms wrapping around you. He pulls you to him, your hands fist into his shirt tightly.
His hand leaves warm patterns in your back, his mouth whispers comforts into the softness of your hair.
When you manage to calm yourself, reduced to only sniffing, you finally speak.
“I’m…sorry…” you manage to choke out. He tuts you, and you feel him shake his head.
“You don’t ever have to apologise darling; least of all to me. You wanna cry, you go ahead and cry.” He wipes your face with tissues you didn’t even see him grab.
You open your mouth to speak, but instead you groan in pain as you’re hit with another wave of pain.
“Did you take the painkillers?”
“No…forgot…”
Miles reaches behind you, grabbing the little cup. He hands it to you, and you wordlessly take it. You wash down the pills with a swig from the thermos.
Miles instructs you to lie on your back. He moves his hand under the pillow, laying on his side, pressed into you. He moves the water bottle away, replacing it with his hand instead.
Slowly he rubs your lower abdomen in gentle circles. The light pressure almost feels like a massage. You let out a content sigh as the pain subsides back into the dull ache. You feel his breath tickle the hair on your head.
“Do you wanna talk about it?” He asks vaguely.
“Not…right now. Maybe tomorrow? When I’m not in so much pain please…” You answer, and he’s not entirely convinced you’re only talking about cramps.
“Of course sweetheart,” he plants a kiss to your temple. “I love you.”
“I love you too, thank you…” You close your eyes, leaning your head into him.
“If it means anything…I just want you to know, I think you’d be a great mom…And I’d love nothing more to start a family with you…Even if it has to be on Pandora.”
You turn your head to look at him then. His gaze speaks a thousand words. All of them feel like declarations of love. You lean up and he instinctively leans down to meet you half way.
Your lips press upon one another in a soft languid kiss; soft and tender with metered passion.
And just as his hand lessens the pain in your lower abdomen, so too do his words lessen the pain in your heart.
You feel assured, that everything will be okay.

My Angst Avatar Way Of Water Headcanons
I'm sad and you will deal with the consequences
Last time it was languages, now it's the aftermath of Neteyam's death
Neytiri hates humans, she wishes they never came to Pandora in the first place. It keeps her up at night and causes never ending stress, a flurry of 'what ifs' while Jake sleeps soundly next to her. Her father, sister, Tsu'tey, would be in her sleep, blaming her for allowing a demon into her family. Neytiri believes without humans, her friends and family would be breathing and her clan prosperous. She wouldn't have Neteyam lifeless below her.
Jake hates his humanity, he tries so desperately to understand and sympathise with his fellow man, but flashes of Neteyams eyes frantically searching for help before losing their life, his ears relaxing when before they were twitching erratically forces him to be harsh. He will give second chances, after that, anyone who refuses to help the Na'vi is dead to him.
Kiri has images of Grace dying as nightmares, the failed body transfer replaying in her head at heightened points of stress, it's why she relaxes with nature, it let's everything leave. Just Kiri and her two mothers. When Neteyam died, she felt him at the funeral become one with Eywa. She hears his shallow last breaths in her heartbeat, and wishes she could hear his one last time.
Lo'ak can't look at his mother without seeing Neteyam, he tries, he really does. But everything about her reminds him of a brother he feels responsible for letting die. In the water he sees his brother being enveloped into the ocean, forcing Lo'ak to break the surface and cry, screaming and begging for help to save him. Sometimes he tries to drown with Neteyam, to see him again and make for lost time. For those arguments that broke them apart the last few months of his living.
In the early staging of grieving Neteyam, the Sully family sleep in his bed and cry themselves to sleep, hugging each other and begging for a miracle from Eywa. And while Neytiri would never admit it out loud, she began to doubt Eywa in those first few months, she believed that her great mother despised her for the destruction surrounding her and her family. The metkayina clan feels great pain and loss in the stages of grief, hearing their cries at night.
Ao'nung feels guilt about not getting to know the Sully's more, he tries to befriend them now and while they're so welcoming, he feels like he doesn't deserve it for what he did. For all he knows, Lo'ak could've been killed because of him. Even without the what ifs, he notices Neytiri and Jake never look him in the eye, they don't forgive him for what could've happened. It keeps him from speaking to them for too long, because he was responsible for Lo'ak's safety, and he used that against him.
Quaritch begins to have an identity crisis over who he even is. All he knows that even if he isn't Spiders dad, he wants to be better and feels regret for not being there. Although, he's far too deep now. Miles hates him, for good reason, but it stings like a nagging bug biting into his flesh, poisonous thoughts stabbing into him like he was nothing. He knows it's deserved for what he remembers he done, but he isn't that man, and he wants to prove it. Doubts begin spiralling his mind and everybody notices, Neytiri's words of 'a son for a son' kept him sleepless and borderline insane. He could've lost spider that night, would life be better? Would it be worse? He'd never know, and that's the worst part.
Tuktirey sleeps with her parents ever since Neteyam died, never leaving her family's side and hating when they have to split up. She never spent enough time with him before he died, even if it was most of her time, it would never be enough. Tuk asks her mother for Neteyam's necklace, hugging it with her and Jake. After a few months in the family slept separately again, in solitary peace, but every once and a while she'll cry quietly and slip into her mother's arms.
Tsireya feels too guilty to continue a relationship with Lo'ak at first, she can't look at him without feeling like she could've helped in some way. She feels worthless and one day the dam breaks, both her and Lo'ak expressing their true feelings. They bonded over that day and became inseparable ever since, it made things better for most of the Sully family, to have the least willing to move on be helped in such a way that he would have a distraction.
Jake and Neytiri become overbearing and protective over their children, always knowing their location and rushing to find them if they've been gone for too long. It puts pressure on the kids and ends in fights that drift them apart. Of course they work through their issues eventually, but things like this are common when losing children and I don't doubt that the Sully's would have this happen after Neteyam.
Spider is semi accepted into the tribe, however, he wants to go back to the forest. He never outright speaks his thoughts, but everybody can tell, he can't keep up with swimming or holding breath, he's smaller and weaker than Na'vi of his age and is almost useless to their way of life. He wants to go back to the way things were, before humans came back.
Spider regrets saving his dad, he wouldn't tell anybody, ever, and would try hiding all evidence or possibility of them finding out, he doesn't want to lose what he feels is his family. His dad may be 'alive' but deep down he knows it's not actually him, no matter how much more willing the man is to be apart of his life, Spider wishes he could've let him drown.

Characters included : The Sully family, Spider and Norm Spellman. Mention of Grace and Eywa.

Note(s) : Writers block is hitting hard, if there's any inconsistencies please tell me so I can correct them. Na'vi language in bold.
The Sully family stood by the child sleeping soundly in Kiri's lap, given they seemed to have an iron grip and refused to let go of her, they all chose to sit and wait for the young one to wake up. When the scientists had tried removing their small wooden mask on the outside of the lab, they thrashed and seemed to be uncomfterable with the thought, constantly slapping and hitting the oxygen mask that would drift their way. Norm let them have their mask, as long as he got to make sure they could properly breathe.
"They aren't a human." Norm said, who looked at confusion at the snoring one. At first most in the room had believed they were just a strange looking sky person, but Jake and Norm confirmed that to not be the case.
"Then what could they be? Another creation, like dreamwalkers?" Neytiri looked between Norm and Jake in fear for her clans safety, while she wasn't opposed to leaving them behind if they proved to be difficult, she has compassion. Jake hmm'd.
"No, I do not think so. They do not seem human at all, science can only be based on existing DNA, neither me or Norm have seen anything like this before." He insisted, sighing and gently holding Neytiri's hand. "We should teach them our ways, they don't seem to have relation to sky people." Neytiri was reminded of her and Jake's time, still unsure, she sighed and gently wrapped an arm around him.
"We shall see, ma jake. We shall see."
Kiri moved to sit atop her mothers tank, carefully placing you in her lap and gently playing with your hair. Speaking to Lo'ak, Neteyam, Tuk and Spider while their parents spoke with Norm about you on the other side of the lab. Unconsciously, you began moving your head from side to side, slowly opening your eyes. They trailed up at your comfterable pillow to see brilliant blue skin and shining yellow eyes, shyly, your finger moved upwards and gently poked her cheek. Kiri smiled and laughed, and so you done it again.
"They seem to like you." Lo'ak laughed at your actions, leaning against Grace's Avatar's tank and grinning at your curious eyes that bore into him as he spoke.
Tuktirey noticed the new attention on you and ran over to her sisters side, her sharp fangs showing as she smiled brightly. You tilted your head and gently put your hands on her cheek, squishing them. All the siblings melted at the adorable interaction, her hands moving to your cheeks and squishing them yourself. The boys laughing as you tugged on Kiri's tail when it entered your point of view.
Three pairs of footsteps and a masculine cough quieted the laughter, only Tuk and you still curiously poking each other. Too enraptured in childhood innocence to understand your enigma of an appearance.
Your eyes drifted to see two very large Na'vi and an Avatar, though to you, the differences weren't too noticeable. Neytiri picked up the youngest Sully and moved her off Grace's tank to the ground, now Jake was right in front you and Kiri.
"Hello." He whispered, assuming you'd understand him if you were related to humans given English was the most widespread language humans used on Pandora. From what Kiri had told him, she wasn't sure if it was English or her careful and slow actions that'd earned their trust.
Tilting your head, instead of responding you reached a hand out and pinched his nose. Neytiri held a hand over her mouth to silence a laugh. Lo'ak and Neteyam looked at each other and tried to silence their own laughs like their mother, however, the young Tuk didn't have that thought and pointed at her dads wince, loudly laughing. Kiri grinned and tried prying the young ones hand off, who just pinched harder as a result.
"I'm not sure they know English." He quietly spoke, voice nasaly from their pinching of his noise, Neytiri's eyes softened at the adorable sight, hardening when she had a sudden thought.
"Maybe another sky person will be of comfort." Looking down on Spider, motioning for him to go forward. He awkwardly shuffled forward and smiled, trying to appear unthreatening as he moved next to Jake.
"Hello? Uh, the name's Spider." Lo'ak snickered and muttered a 'bro', proceeding to get slapped in the back of the head by Neteyam. You still didn't seem to know what was going on. Grabbing his nose like you did with Jake's, reaching your other hand to said Na'vi, leaning your head to study them and their differences.
"I don't think this is working." Spider's voice, now nasaly, spoke. Kiri laughed and pet your head which tipped up to look at her. Even if you didn't have a mouth, your bright eyes could show a thousand smiles if only for a moment.
While Neytiri had a sudden soft spot for you, she gently held her hand on Jake's shoulder. Words unspoken yet understood perfectly, not only through the couple, but through the entire family. Kiri tapped your hand, making you let go of the poor guys noses.
"We need to talk about this." Neytiri looked between the family, eyes studying your figure with an almost regretful suspicion. Kiri jumped down from the tank, gently trying to pry you off holding onto her torso, but you whined and gripped hard onto her, afraid of being left alone.
"Norm will take care of you, okay?" Kiri freed one of her arms and pointed to the very awkward Avatar, huffing but seemingly satisfied with at least not being left alone, you let go of her and she let you stand on the ground. You held out your hand for Norm to hold, but they could all see your eyes locked into Kiri as she left.
Nobody understood the connection you had with her, you felt like a piece of her and she felt the same way, unsure of what you were but all she knew was that she needed to protect you. Kiri heard Eywas mighty heartbeat thump louder than it ever had when you were with her. Your own heartbeat making you feel as if she was your only home.

"Hey, hey..." Kiri quietly spoke, remembering her mother's videos and seeing if English would work on the supposed human. She slowly held her hands out to show she isn't a threat, her steps were expertly gentle against the soft ground making little to no noise. The child before the Na'vi siblings seemed to have their eyes trained on her, only moving to snap their head towards her siblings whenever anybody moved too suddenly.
"Neteyam, where are you and your siblings?" Jake's voice rang from the intercom, said Na'vi boy jumped in shock. The child whimpered and Kiri snapped her head back to glare in annoyance at Neteyam, who slowly backed away. Once far enough away to see them but not be heard, he moved his hand to the device on his neck and answered his father.
"We found something weird, we think it's a sky person. They look young and scared, what should we do?" Even if they weren't visible, Neteyam knew his parents well enough to tell Neytiri and Jake were discussing what to do.
"Get to Hell's gate their oxygen mask might run out soon, how many of you are there and how far away are you from home?" Jake instructed, clearly suspicious but still compassionate enough to worry for the child's safety.
"Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk are here, we're only a few minutes away from Hell's Gate, dad-." Neteyam sucked in a breath, nervousness overtaking him. "They don't have a mask on, well, they do? It's not what they usually look like." With the limited noise his siblings were making a silent conversation was evident.
"Be as fast as you can, me and your mother are on our way." Jake ordered.
"Yes sir." Neteyam nodded, looking back behind the tree to see Lo'ak in the place he previously was, having not moved and already heard everything from the intercom. Tuk now right behind Kiri who was right next to the child, holding out her hand as a sign of friendship and mutual trust.
"Come with us?" She whispered, putting her hands towards her, her siblings and then the forest. The child looked around at the Na'vi before them and held out their own small hand that was enveloped by Kiri's.
She slowly stood up, bringing the the child up with them and catching them when they seemed to be wobbly on their feet, stumbling and letting go of her hand to cling onto Kiri's leg like a lifeline. Tuk smiled showing her sharp fangs, her innocent eyes bore into the child's as she approached them, since English seemed to work, she tried her best to remember the few times she payed attention to any English her father or siblings taught her.
"Tuk I am!" She pointed to herself, then to the child. "You are?" The child looked confused, pointing to themself and making awkward cooing noises. "They can't talk?" Tuk look up at Kiri who shrugged, gently pulling the child along as they clung to her leg.
"We need to get to Hell's Gate, dad and mom are already on their way." Lo'ak whispered to Kiri who nodded, changing the direction of walking to go towards the desired location. The creature cooed and switched walking with them all, Tuk skipped happily along next to them and grabbed Lo'ak's hand on her right and Neteyam on her left, both of which rolled their eyes and laughed.
The child's eyes were wide in adoration for the flora around them, shuffled steps and a sharp gaze observed the bioluminescant forest. Childish giggles came from Tuk as she noticed the creature almost lagging behind to stare at everything, jumping around as her older brothers smiled at the adorable sight. The walk wasn't too far, but the inexperienced at living child was letting out heavy breaths as they tightened their hold on Kiri with a whine. All siblings shared worried glances.
"Are you okay?" She tilted her head in confusion as the child tip toed, holding their arms out and doing a grabby motion with their hands. She 'oh'd!' with understanding. Wrapping her arms around the child and lifting them so their head was gently resting on her shoulder, their legs wrapped around her waist so they wouldn't fall off.
Kiri began lightly jogging to catch up with her siblings that were now a few meters ahead. Once they reached Hell's each of them slowed their pace upon hearing an argument.
"What if they are a spy?! First that demon's child and now this? You are endangering our children." Neytiri harshly spoke, glaring holes into Jake as he gently squeezed her hand.
"You took a chance with me, I was human once but you taught me. Now we have this family and I have you." He gently whispered, moving his hands to her shoulders and putting his forehead gently against hers. Neytiri sucked in a breath, before she could properly respond Tuk yanked her older brothers hands and dragged them over. Both almost stumbling over and letting go of her hands in shock.
"Mama! Look! Look!" She excitedly pointed to the child Kiri held protectively in her arms that seemed to have fallen asleep, the motions of walking lulling them into a silent peaceful state. Neytiri snapped her eyes over to Jake who began walking towards the young one, confusion evident from his face to his body language.
This is rlly short cause I'll probably edit it anyway.

Note(s) : I've not played Sky for a WHILE so for Avatar lore sake and because I'm really lazy, I'm gonna be writing the Moth reader as a being from Eywa. Like a seed from the ancient tree but as a human sized child. Na'vi language will be in bold.
A small voice lifts you into consciousness, your mind only comprehending the comforting embrace that holds you softly while the strange whispers begin rising in volume, you slowly open your eyes as they fade away. Unsure of where you are, who you are and why you're here.
You know words but have no idea of the meaning, such as forest. You don't know what a forest is, but that's all you can think of when you look around at the bright bioluminescent trees, grass and various fauna around you. The night sky making it bright and stunning for most, yet for you, a stranger to both the world and to living, you were terrified.
A twig snapping made you sqeak and fall down, cooing in confusion as you backed into a tree, hugging your cape close to you and darting your head around to look for what made the noise. Unknown to you, previous to the noise three na'vi teenagers and a young na'vi child hid and quietly spoke about what to do.
"Sky people can not breathe our air, Neteyam, they could be dying!" Kiri sharply whispered, she had previously felt a strange energy and almost completely blacked out walking here. Only to stumble across an asleep sky person. She has no clue why she felt so protective over somebody she'd never met, but Kiri continued to stand her ground and glared at her first brother while he shook his head in exasperation.
"They do not look like a sky person, sky people do not glow." Neteyam flicked his tail in annoyance and suspicion, not wanting to get in trouble further. The second brother simply rolled his eyes.
"Whatever bro, they clearly are not a threat, if they wanted to cause harm they would." Lo'ak pointed out and snickered at Neteyam's seriousness. They all paused for a moment as the small creature opened their eyes, looking around them in a daze.
"I wanna go see!" Tuktirey quietly whispered, pulling on Neteyam's arm impatiently as he sighed and gritted his teeth.
"Fine. But if it gets dangerous-" Neteyam began, getting cut off by Kiri warily standing up, Tuktirey shooting up so fast it was like an ikran, and Lo'ak slowly but surely making his way towards the strange figure. "we leave and report it to dad..."
Suddenly Lo'ak stumbled, a twig snapping on his weight and causing the figure to jump in surprise. Making strange noises while backing away in fear.
-SPOILERS AHEAD-
AVATAR : WAY OF WATER headcanons
Spider has ptsd or some kind of fear of Neytiri after she threatened his life and regrets getting so attached to the Sully family. I have no doubt Kiri and Neytiri have a strained relationship now over how she treated Spider.
Spider is allowed in the Metkyina villages but rarely ever gets acknowledged and when it happens its about him being unwelcome
I don't think Neytiri hates all humans and is mainly wary of most of them, but hates Spider in particular because he is the son of the man who led the assault on her home and murdered her father plus a lot of her people.
Aonung still teases Lo'ak and Kiri but never takes it too far like he use to, same with Rotxo. They all hang out a lot along with Tsireya and some other Metkyina members their age.
Tsireya talks to her spirit sister over Lo'ak and her spirit sister laughs at her for falling in love with such a dumbass, Payakan called Lo'ak an idiot for so long when he refused to outright confess, both tulkuns ended up gossiping in secret.
Tuk likes collecting seashells and building little homes for small creatures in the reef
Kiri lays face down in the sand a lot and it concerns everybody until she just looks up like 'hi :)'
Bob, Jake's Ikran, likes stealing the Sully's food when they aren't looking. When they got to the Metkyina's Jake told him to stop, unknown to them he still does it but only with Tuk because she gives it willingly most of the time.
The Sully family speak in English when they don't want anyone in the Metkyina clan to know their business, Lo'ak started teaching Tsireya english so they had an excuse to spend extra time together.
Tuk can understand English but speaks really hesitantly, overthinks the words and takes really long forming words. After Neteyam died she starts begging her family to teach her because Neteyam offered to once and she turned it down.
Neytiri struggles in English but understands it perfectly, she prefers Na'vi and only uses it when speaking to RDA members or Jake. She uses few English words due to Grace's school shutting down, and she doesn't believe RDA members deserve the effort. Sounds very formal when she does try.
Jake taught the kids English and sometimes catches himself talking to non English speaking Na'vi like they can understand him, gets embrassed right away. Sometimes he forgets Na'vi for a moment before remembering a second after. Not long enough to cause the other party to be confused, just long enough to be awkward. Tends to speak formal one second then the next like a drunken teenage boy.
Lo'ak speaks broken English because the only times he speaks it is with Jake, Kiri and use to speak it with Neteyam. He can understand it perfectly well but just can't find the proper words to express emotions and actions. Speaks informally if the constant use of 'bro' is anything to go by.
Kiri is fully fluent in English, it started from watching Grace's videos and having Jake help her translate it to English and Na'vi, then she started speaking to Jake and Lo'ak in English, and soon Spider, Norm, etc, etc. She speaks informally.
Neteyam could understand both English and Na'vi perfectly, however he could only speak a bit of English while he was perfectly fluent in Na'vi. Sounded formal in English unless he was speaking to Lo'ak.
Uhh this is like 90% language hcs lmfao lemme know if you want more ig
