Darkwing Duck (1990s Version): My New Obsession

Just started watching Darkwing Duck since the 2017 version got me interested. I actually really like it. I had to get used to the zany and not-so-serious hero storyline but it’s fun.

Not every episode hits like the one with DW getting cursed by witch doctors, who were depicted terribly. Some of the earliest episodes also weren’t as great, though it’s based on my taste rather than improper depictions.

What keeps me watching DWD is the relationship between DW and Gosalyn. Those moments always made my heart melt and tear up. My favorite moment was in the episode, “Quiverwing Quack.” DW was forbidding Gos from fighting, and she gets upset, mentioning that he’ll always see her as his baby girl. He quietly replies. “Because you are.” That made my heart melt.

I commend DWD for going this deep into adopted families especially since it was a cartoon. A lot of cartoons are usually wary of depicting “adult themes.” Now cartoons are finally able to be more inventive.

Darkwing Duck is not in my top 10 favorites, but I appreciate it and have a lot of fun watching it.

Really hope Disney pulls through on the reboot so this awesome concept comes back.

TMNT 2012 Karai vs. Cheshire. Who Would Win?

This battle is based on Kelly Hu who voices both of them. This is tough because I haven’t seen both of them fight as much to confirm.

Karai has been trained by the Shredder, one of two most strongest fighters, as long as Cheshire has been. She is also a snake mutant and can administer a deadly poison when she bites her victims. The poison has no medicinal cure.

Cheshire is from Young Justice and is considered one of the most deadliest assassins in the DC Universe.

Both of them had the same amount of training and have kid of the same fighting style. Funny enough, Cheshire fights with sais like Raph. 😂

What Are Your Unpopular Cartoon Opinions(+ Mine)?

1. She-ra is a bit overrated(still appreciate it.)

Don't get me wrong, I deeply appreciate the LGBTQ+ representation in the show, but I can't really get into it. Some of the characters are hard for me to connect with and that is something rewlly important for me when watching a show. Some plot points were really rushed like the entirety of season 3 and the series finale. There were a few characters that kind of annoyed me like Glimmer and Catra.

2. Voltron: Legendary Defender is overrated.

Around the time it was still airing, I heard so many people say it was one of the greatest cartoons of the 2010's and how the writing was amazing. So I watched and imo, it's meh. I just have a lot of problems with the writing like the Lion switch, clone Shiro, and the series finale. Everything felt so rushed.

Though, I love Shiro's backstory(He's amazing!)

3. Steven Universe Future was not a great season.

I was so excited when SUF was announced, hoping that most of all of my unanswered plot points would be answered. Some were, but everything was so rushed. Steven's impending breakdown quickened a bit too much, and stories like Aquamarine & Eyeball's return were added in seemingly without a thought.

The season was also pretty forgettable.

4. Young Justice has lost its charm(still really like it.)

I love Young Justice! It's one of my favorite shows if all time, but I have to admit that it doesn't feel the same way. The charm it had in the first two seasons is not present in the latest one. The characters' relationships are integral to the show and is a reason why the show is loved. Season 3 mostly focused on new characters and most of them don't have development.

I hope Season 4 fixes that.

5. I actually liked Poof being added in FOP.

I've seen so many people say Poof ruined the show, which I disagree with. Poof is not my favorite character, but I find it cute and a good addition to the cast.

6. Rise of TMNT is pretty good.

There have been a lot of people, specifically TMNT fans, saying Rise is awful and a disgrace to the franchise. I respect the show for wanting to do something new since some of them work. It's not my favorite, but I have a fun time watching it when I want to relax.

7. Season 4 of RWBY was pretty good.

Old fans of the web series say the show went downhill during season 4. I say it turned for the worse in season 5.

8. TMNT 2012 April is not a terrible person.

I see this version of April as a character who was tragically poorly-written. She had the potential to be amazing if the writers didn't label her only as a love interest. I went more in depth in one of my earliest posts.

9. Miraculous Ladybug is not as good anymore.

The love square is getting irritating. It made sense going slow since Marinette and Adrien are getting to know each other. Miraculous had also gotten more cringey that it is almost unwatchable.

10. I prefer the newer episodes of Phineas & Ferb over the older ones.

This is more of a perference. I just like the newer episodes, especially after Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension. I love that movie with all my heart!

Today I desperately want to regress I feel so smol and baby. I just wanna cuddle my stuffies and have someone coo at me and tell me I’m thier little one.

Little Baby

Tonight I just wanna regress and call someone papa or bubba I hate being a lonely little it sucks big time!! I’m just laying here with my plushies and cute music on feeling so so tiny but no cg….

I also feel extra sleepy and I wanna feel someone’s running their hands thru my hair as they coo at me and tell me that I’m their tiny baby who knows nothing and needs them to help me with all the big things in the world cause that just what I am a cute little baby. I just wanna regress so badly but I struggle so so so much to regress alone!

Sleepy baby

It’s night time and I’m such a sleepy little girl I’m now able to curl up with all my stuffies and put on my cartoons and fairy lights as I let all my big girl thoughts and responsibilities melt away.

Last day!!

Friday!! Yay made it after a long ,long week of having to be big. Tonight will be all about relaxing and being able to be in little space I can cuddle all of my stuffies put on my cartoons and fuzzy pjs! I’ll be such a happy little girl :3!

I wanna be little so badly!! I just wanna cuddle my stuffies and put on my cartoons! I wanna be a pouty little princess and stomp my foot at the world for how it forces me to be a big girl.

being big is so damn tiring. Each time I get home I feel so tired but I just wanna be little and forget all about my worries ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡. Dealing with people and life is not for me. Being a silly giggly little girl cause it’s so much easier and I feel so much happier that way!!

rest day!!

Just imagining that I can be in little space all curled up in bed as I watch my cute little cartoons where I’ve turned my brain off as I’m cuddling my stuffies. I wish I had a paci to suck on but I have to keep being little a secret which is a pain :(…..but at least wearing cute pjs and cuddling my stuffies is still possible! Mondays…..

It’s the start of a very long week and I’m so tired already…..I wanna be little and colour all day and hold my plushies close!! I’m sick and tired of being a big girl all week. Its so much easier and nicer to turn off my brain put on cartoons as I wear soft pastel pjs as I feel all my stress and anxiety melt away.

being in little space feels so much better than dealing with it all! I absolutely love my stuffies since they are all so soft and squishy and they are the best listeners! Stuffies > people

Weekend

Finally the weekend time to relax by grabbing my stuffies laying in bed and playing genshin impact and zenless zone zero. Being able to game in bed is the best I love it and feeling small and cosy makes it 10x better

The Happy, The Gay, and The Terrifying is a universe that combines the universes shown above into a single and (hopefully) cohesive universe. Storywise, this is an epilogue that would explore all of these universe meeting somehow, with various interactions and REactions to specific news and revelations. (ALSO this is a mainly POSITIVE AU, so Vanessa aint Vanny no more.)

So the Monsters are now on the Surface, the Human/Demon Realm exchange program is well underway, Steven Universe has been traveling, Dipper and Mabel Pines are exploring, Phineas and Ferb are at their respective colleges, Gregory has been adopted by Vanessa with Glamrock Freddy as some sort of companion, Jack is also at college alongside Miko and Raf, and Audrey is out in the open, still young and fresh. And well the Amphibia girls are all doing their respective interests.

So with the setting set (kinda), what kinda facts are needed to be known?

Phineas, Jack, Miko, and Raf all go to the same college, where Audrey teaches as an art professor.

By this time, Gregory is in his teens and in high school, near the college. He has taken an interest in engineering and mechanics.

The Monsters are known to exist, but face scrutiny, similar to the Witches. But the college and high school are open facilities, so the witches and monsters who live nearby can go and learn relatively normally.

Ann actually takes a side gig as a biology professor at the college. 

Steven travels the country and has taken up temporary residency in the area of the college.

The college is named New Cipher Academy. No, there is no Bill Cypher in this universe… but someone may be trying to do something about that.

Frisk is living with Toriel and Asgore, who get back together… even though that was a rocky road.

Sasha works as the school counselor at the high school.

The Ink Realm is still active, but due to the magic seeping from the Demon Realm and the nearby unleashed magic from the Underground has caused the loop to cease to exist. 

The main threats of this universe are as follows: The Coven Cove (Witches from the Demon Realm that want to restore the Coven patriarchy), The Cipher Cult (Worshipers of Bill Cipher wanting to revive their “god”), Rouge Decepticons (Decepticons that didn’t follow the treaty (such as Steeljaw and Thunderhoof)), And finally Burntrap and the Glitchtrap Virus (Stuck in the ruins of the Pizzaplex). 

Bendy has become a bit more adult-like, taking on a more grown up form. They work with Audrey grading papers and helping manage the Ink Realm. Oh, and they can speak fluid English AND Spanish!

Luz and Frisk DO meet up, since Frisk decides to join in on the Human/Demon Realm Exchange Program.

Sans works as a science teacher at the high school and runs the Science Fiction Club.

The Autobots still work on Earth, though there are only a few: Ratchet, Knockout, Bumblebee, and Strongarm.

The Crystal Gems stick to the island, but Garnet and Pearl commonly visit Steven and sometimes join in on the travels.

Frisk, Audrey, Luz, Steven, and Dipper all are more connected to the magic of their world. 

Stanley and Stanford Pines both had set up shop in the town near the college, Stanley basically being Stanely while Stanford researches the magic upcharge he has discovered.

Also, Unicron ISN’T Earth, at least, not anymore.

There’ll probably be more but I just wanted to get some notes up before I began writing some stories or something.

Ducktales 2017 is such a good show, more people should watch it. Owl House people looking for more? Gravity Falls fans? Amphibia? Looking for more mystery, found family and fun?

This is a great show for you. Especially for arospec folk like myself, it’s such a relief to find a show with so little romantic plot lines but still lots of platonic and familial love. It also changed my perspective on shows like it forever. It’s my favourite show of all time.

It’s the most realistic depiction of siblings I have ever laid my eyes on. It’s funny for all ages without defaulting to gross humour people think kids find funny. It’s so damn family driven. It has plenty of successful adult role models with no kids and/or no partners. My favourite character is only good as a coincidence. It is the only show ever where I have enjoyed the filler. It de-fridges the mum. The ‘main’ romantic subplot appears about three times, is more of a con artist-roguish hero dynamic than anything else, never goes anywhere and doesn’t feel wasted for it. It’s got magic. It’s got a Batman parody. It’s got a stacked cast for no reason. It’s got autism and adhd coded characters that showcase the spectrum. It’s got a British housekeeper who is also a spy. And a ghost butler. They hate each other. Lin Manuel Miranda is in it. It’s got a three part mega finale because it got cancelled like my other treasure trove tv shows (TOH). Every single character in this extensive family is developed and focused on at some point. They function how the Batfamily is in fanon. They scare the hell out of the rest of the world. They’re family.

I watch the final episode anytime I need creative motivation. I love this show so much.

You find out relatively late in the game that the main character’s best and only friend in the world is a secret agent getting paid to keep him compliant.

The secret base that is considered the only safe haven in the world free of corruption is named Providence.

Everyone is getting puppet mastered around by a guy so steeped in purity culture that he calls himself White Knight and lives in a air tight pressurized room cut off from the world to keep out corruption on a cellular level.

(This is both a normal thing to do, and something possible to achieve. Sure. Why not. )

White Knight is canonically kind of evil and he gets replaced by a worse guy named Black Knight.

A talking monkey sidekick uses a gun, if that appeals to you.

The doctor singlehanded tying everyone together and keeping this organization going is named Rebecca Holiday.

Rebecca: to tie or bind. Holiday: Holy Day. The religious connotations are not so much connotations as they are punching you in the face.

Theres a scientist flying around the planet in a space ship so fast that it’s only been a couple hours since the apocalyptic event that permanently changed the earth. It’s been a decade for everyone else. He does not know about the apocalyptic event.

It’s been a decade.

His parents are the ones who doomed the earth and its populace.

They also injected his kid brother with a killer nanite chip that makes him a god.

The kid mostly uses this to turn his legs into a motorcycle.

It has the unfortunate side effect of wiping the kids memories every few years. Last time it happened he forgot that he turned into Godzilla and wiped out an entire city.

The kid lived in japan where he was the leader of a mutant gang for a while. He was like 12.

There’s a guy who goes by Six because he’s the sixth most deadly man alive. I know. He is the teen robot god’s babysitter. He is also aware of the ridiculousness of this.

Generator Rex is legitimately one of the best cartoons ever created, and if I could find a way to watch it I would promptly write a 10k essay on why.
