what exactly is the relationship between cait sith and reeve tuesti...?

like, cait is a robot. there are multiple copies of cait sith, ala the extra one in reeve's office in rebirth, the one being crushed in chapter 13 of rebirth, the one that blows up in dirge of cerberus. dirge of cerberus also has that awful scene where there's a cait sith inside of a reeve robot. (it. scared me. so. bad.)

does reeve control him? but he doesn't have to, 24/7, because in dirge of cerberus, the two are in the same room, and they interact. and you know, cait works 24/7, even when reeve is in board meetings and whatever. does he program him from his office?

maybe that's why cait takes a nap is cosmo canyon and freezes at the end of nibelheim, in rebirth. he's being updated with reeve's new information...?

playing rebirth makes me feel SO BAD for reeve/cait sith. he tries SO HARD to convince AVALANCHE that he's truly on their side, that he wants to help people and do the right thing, and right when they're FINALLY warming up to him, rufus/tseng/whoever makes him throw that trust away and give away the keystone. he doesn't WANT TO T-T

even in the beginning of chapter 12, when he pulls cloud aside, he's trying to talk them out of going, so he doesn't have to trick his friends. he doesn't want to betray these people who are trying to save the planet.

side note. do we think any other exectives know about reeve's little switcheroo with the wanted posters??

on my rebirth replay i had the stellar idea to write down the loveless prelude and compare it to the "original" loveless poem. also it's color-coded.

later i'm gonna think harder about my big "explore differences" note. maybe on the airplane. i mean, what do you do on an airplane anyway? analyze fictional religious poetry.

plus, i'm going on vacation, and i will not get another opportunity to try again until i get back. he's just gonna haunt me for a week. i'm gonna watch so many videos about hard mode rufus. i'm gonna get him. i am not going to pysche myself out of fighting him. i am gonna get him. he's gonna say "and yet here. you. are." in that stupid tone that i like so much when he summons darkstar. and i'll blow him up.

also i did NOT get the box throwing game my first playthrough... but i had much more luck this time, it only took me three tries :) not. that. bad!!

btw reraise TOTALLY works. does gi nattak recast doom immediately? ...yeah. but MORE TIME!! IGNORE THE MP COST.

after taking a 4 month break after beating the story, i am back on my rebirth grind for the plat (i'm going to go insane but i like platinum trophies.)
