Kanna’s first Christmas Part 1

I might make this into a little mini series…

Seriously tho, was I the only one as a kid who was absolutely shocked and couldn’t believe that not every kid in the world got presents on Christmas Day? I found it absolutely blasphemous!

I had a really, REALLY weird dream about The Amazing Digital Circus last night!! ( @gooseworx you wanna weigh in on this?)

I have had a lot of wierd dreams but I’m usually in all of them as the main protagonist in first person view, but this is the first time that it felt like I was watching an actual episode of a series.

The cast was on some adventure and the main npc villain was actually someone who used to be at the circus, but abstracted and is now used as an antagonist npc (I think her name was Victoria? She’s themed as some giant aquatic monster with a bunch of starfish and kelp on her, think of like the Big Daddies from Bioshock, but with more sea life on her, and you could see her scarred up face).

Pomni gets paired with Jax throughout the episode and Jax FINALLY gets some character development instead of just being some kids cartoon bully with no background or character other than just annoying & torturing people. The entire cast is supposed to defeat Victoria but Pomni being the hero that she is, tries reaching out and helping her, despite Jax constantly trying to mess this up. Jax Finally gets the character development I was talking about and is still a jerk but is now more like Buford levels of jerk (still mean, but you can tell he cares and he’s a bully friend that you would invite over for a game of baseball) instead of being like Denzel Crocker (Fairly Odd Parents) or Brad (Kick Buttowski) levels of bully.

One thing I forgot to mention is that in the adventures, Caine gave the characters the ability to fuse together to become more powerful and fight through. At first, Jax simply just uses Pomni to get stronger and the fusion they start out with is like; INCREDIBLY toxic! Think of it like from Steven Universe, with Lapis and Jasper becoming Malachite and showcasing a toxic and abusive relationship. (As Garnet said; “They’re a bad match for each other”) But as time goes on, Jax starts to see how fast Pomni’s already non existent mental health is deteriorating faster and faster, even when he stops fusing (mostly because he’s annoyed with how Pomni is slowing them down and making the fusion weak with her problems) her problems starts showing on Jax. After the both of them almost abstract because of Jax trying to do something he sees as “fun”, (trapping the rest of the cast in a cave to make them panic) Jax and Pomni have a heart to heart and realize how they need to work together to complete this adventure and get back to the circus. Once Jax finally realizes that, he lets go of the controls a little bit so that Pomni can also take charge. By the end of it, they’ve bonded and their fusion relationship is more like Stevonie with the fusion even changing to show both of them equal amount.

For some reason, Caine absolutely HATES the idea of Victoria coming back to the circus, something about “it’s not up to him” and “against the rules and company policy” several times the cast has to stop him and beg for him to not turn her into confetti like he did with Gummigoo. Caine ends up putting the cast into a new adventure and sets them up with an impossible task. They all have to agree on something or team up together to let Victoria stay.

The cast is transported to some falling apart school that is floating in the middle of space with some dim sun in the center, yet it’s freezing cold. The way I can describe the school is like Elmore Junior high (from amazing world of gumball) I think I even saw some of the gumball characters here and there? But the students and teachers were more like demonic zombies…

The cast is split up and only Pomni and Kinger are the only ones who believe that Victoria should get a second chance at the circus, after all, she was human just like them. Even Ragatha doesn’t want to know what might happen when they bring Victoria back (as she’s been playing the villain for so long she doesn’t know how be a supporting role) not to mention for as long as any of them have been there, they’ve never seen Caine act so hateful towards any of the npcs or avatars. But when Jax is struck with an ultimatum, and chooses to save Pomni and the cast over himself, the rest of the cast says Victoria’s name and they are all transported back to the circus with Victoria.

Victoria’s look has changed almost entirely. I’ll do my best to describe it… she had blue skin now, blonde hair in a high bun, but she looked very abstracted (not tadc abstract! Like an abstract painting) very blocky, and chunky, and she only had one eye now and it was on her right side of her face, which still looked scarred, but no where near as bad as before.

The dream ended with the cast showing her around, and telling her to take it easy as she’s the first person to not only come back from being abstracted, but also the first so-called “npc” to come back to the circus. Caine was floating near by still glaring at Victoria like she was a piece of filth that shouldn’t be there, while bubble is annoying him. Before I wake up Pomni and Jax are wondering if all abstracted humans became npcs or if this was just something new that Caine tried like with Gummigoo ai and making something actually scary for zooble like before.

That’s when I woke up. I’ll tell you that had to be the weirdest dream I’ve had in a long while. @gooseworx you wanna say anything about this???

I’m really curious about something like this. Would you choose where you are now, especially since you don’t really know this “true love” of yours like you know your current partner, and that wouldn’t be fair to them. Or are you the type to not question faith and go with this “true love”?

My friends and I would play this game back in middle school and we would choose to win the lottery or true love, one of my friends already had a partner and someone else asked; but what if when you pick true love it’s not them? I think about that moment a lot (mostly because it sounds like it would make a good fairytale spin off story)

Kanna Origins: Part 10 - Final

And we have finally come to an end, our edgy tsundere has quickly become Kanna’s favorite uncle and this is when she started following him around. (Of course he would eventually explain to her why it’s not good to bleed in this house) but this is unfortunately the end of the Kanna origins so now I can FINALLY work on other things including other comics! It’s been three thousand years! 😂😅

We are coming to the end of Kanna’s origins story. Then we will get into the shenanigans of her life growing up. Yes she’s half vampire. I thought I had made that explanation clear enough in the comic, sorry 😅

That’s one of the main reasons that Kanna’s mother died during childbirth. The whole pregnancy was rough for her, because here’s how things work in my little comic au I have going on.

You see…

Not to mention; Vampire pregnancy would ten times more hell then a regular human pregnancy. And when trying to turn an extremely vulnerable pregnant woman- who’s body is currently changing to accommodate the tiny life inside of it- that’s especially risky, as you can risk losing not only the baby, but the mother as well. So really it’s a very risky gamble. Only 3% of the human population have been known to survive all the way through, that is with their lives AND the baby’s.

Kanna Origins part 9

Yui gives brief introductions of the family. And after a long and emotional rollercoaster of a day; Kanna turns to one of the few only things that helps her clear her head.

(I actually looked up the music sheet to write the music notes of the song that she’s playing, so let’s see if we have an musical geniuses in the audience to see if they can guess what she’s playing!)

Way back in middle school I made an oc and over the years I’ve been fleshing her out in my head. (She was inspired by some teachers, and a childhood friend) Her mother is Japanese and her father is American-Korean. I freaking love the traditional clothing of Japan and Korean (seriously every woman I see in it looks like a freaking goddess!) but something about my character; she loves fashion and wants to embrace all of her heritage, the Japanese, the Korean, and the American. So I was wondering if anyone has ever tried combining the traditional clothing of both sides of their heritage. But since I don’t really have anything to embrace, I didn’t know if this would be offensive to people’s culture or if I should just forget it. So sorry if this offends someone. I’m really dumb when it comes to social stuff.

Will kanato ever get along with kanna? 😭 I feel so bad for the poor bean

Ideally I would think so, Kanato is one of the harder characters for me to write, due to his unpredictable nature and how unhinged he can be.

But luckily for me, I have some friends who have good grasps on his character like; @diabolik-boys and @dialovers-lover-xoxo to help me with getting an idea about Kanato’s reaction and character.

Now that Kanato has been confirmed to be a father, he’s most likely gonna beg Reiji for help, given that he has no clue to what he’s doing. I’m not even sure if he would remember Kanna’s mother or not, because while he’s no stranger to sleeping around, he’s also very careful with who he does it with. But he also doesn’t like children. But because Kanna’s his daughter he sees her more like one of his possessions and as we know, Kanato is very possessive and doesn’t like to share. And I don’t think Kanna would like his dolls either

I’m sure that everyone will be shocked at how soft spoken, shy, and kind Kanna is though, which is almost the opposite of her family. But remember; this is only the beginning of Kanna’s story. So Kanato isn’t gonna be outright thrilled at having a daughter. Especially since after her origin story he and the rest of his brothers are wondering why their father would even bother having them take care of his granddaughter in the first place, and not just leaving her with the humans. It’s having all of them on edge about what he’s scheming… But that’s a comic for another time.

I’ll be honest I already have some comic ideas about the two of them already bonded, but I still need to think about them actually doing things together. But yes, I do think it’s safe to say that Kanna will catch a break and become happier than ever over time. But given that she’s not past her first few months yet, it will give everyone the time they need to adjust to having a child in the mansion

So in short term; yes they will have a somewhat good father daughter relationship

Something funny: During Shamura’s fight, not only was he the only bishop that I defeated on the first try, but I couldn’t stop laughing at him pooping out bombs! (because I’m childish like that) I was like, “WtF iS cOmInG oUt Of HiS bOtToM?!” 😂

I can’t help but get really insecure at times about my art. I see all of this beautiful artwork on tumblr or in comics, things that I strive to be like, and what I want to do for the rest of my life. But then I keep looking at my art… seeing how it’s nothing like how I want it to be, even when I take classes and lessons, nothing changes… and I can’t help but wonder… if I’m not good enough for myself… will I ever be good enough for the real world?
