Should You Take the Cryptid on a Roadtrip?
Mothman: Sure, as long as you avoid the Las Vegas strip. We don’t need a repeat of the last time.
Bigfoot: Definitely, they make an excellent camping companion and are an avid bird watcher. Just be prepared for lots of your vacation photos to turn out blurry.
Loch Ness Monster: I mean, if you can figure out how to transport a giant lake monster safely down I-80, go for it.
Chupacabra: Has this weird thing where it only wants to stay at B&Bs, particularly ones attached to farms.
Fresno Nightcrawler: It will literally pay you to take it somewhere else. Have you seen Fresno?
Flatwoods Monster: Super into glamping, really wants someone to share their gourmet s’more recipes with. Just don’t let them wander into nearby campsites, it seems to freak people out.
Jersey Devil: Keeps saying they know a great campsite deep in the pine barrens. It’s just a little farther. Don’t worry that the forest seems to be getting darker. It’ll be fine.
Jackalope: It will mimic the voice of your GPS and send you off a cliff or worse, to Fresno. Better not.

actually, i should just say this in its own post--if you're ever looking for a translation of anything ancient greek, ian johnston has a ton of translations that are both genuinely good and completely free to read. a lot of the time free translations are really old or just not that good but this man has translated, like, everything from homer to sophocles to kafka to nietzche and he's done it extremely well. i didn't think he had an antigone but i just looked and not only does he have one but it's genuinely very good. so i highly recommend his website as a resource!
Suri
Habitat: greenwood Forest
Age limit:39 (since it's fake)
The coat color can be: brown, black, tan with black splotches or flipflop
It has very thick fur but it's never under -7 where they are most found. They have this very thick fur to keep them very very warm since they are extremely sensitive to cold weather and can die in the matter of hours
They are wild animals but are very protective of people/pack members or animals they have a bond with.
With months and months of training or if you raise it from birth it can be a ""house" pet they don't need lots of space they make do with what they have.
They have huge, large feet, when they walk they "stomp" and make lots of noise to scare off any predators they might encounter, though they can fight off most predators they dont want to waste their energy just in case they need it (they are very smart)
The Suri can go up to 1 year without eating and only having water since most places they lived rarely had food so they adapted to the surroundings
They are native to north America and are usually found there but they can be spotted all over the globe (no cold places tho) but they are more common to be found in Minnesota and Missouri, Mississippi
They have tusks like a sabor tooth, and are about 10 feet and 16 feet standing on its hind legs. The suri's diet usually consists of fish, rabbits, and deer, It will also eat Berry's!
They are very stealthy and slick so their prey doesn't know they are coming. They can jump up to 7feet!
Cubitum eamus?
I was surrounded by green landscapes. The leaves' and trees' color matched with my flowy skirt. My mustardish skirt danced with the breeze, a graceful waltz under the blinding light of my usual guest. This guest has always been there with me. Specifically every Sunday. And peculiarly its light gets stronger and brighter everytime that I appear in its presence. It's really strange. Perhaps, Zeus is content when seeing me, and his only way to contact me is by increasing the brightness of his Sun. Nonetheless, I'm thankful of it.
I could feel the warm breeze timidly touching my bare arms and uncovered shoulders. It was such a hair-raising feeling that it bizarrely made me slowly close my eyes while enjoying that docile embrace.
The crunch of grass under boots made my eyes slam open. That crunch of boots on dew-kissed ground resonates - a rythmic dance between man and nature. Each step, a whispered promise of connection, as if the meadow itself aknowledged his presence.
I turned around. There stopped a gigantic man. He was so majestic that I nearly stopped breathing. There was no oxygen enough for me. The nature was taking it from me.
Despite this, I continued looking at him. I didn't dare to say a thing. No voice could get out of my mouth.
I was so mesmerized by him that I didn't notice he was getting closer and closer to me. I was laying on top of the meadow. Undoubtedly, I was looking like a sloppy little girl and unashamedly I was staying there unmoving.
Surprisingly, he stretched his arm to me. Oh God. What did I think that he was going to do? That, I better not share with you.
"Aventurine. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you..."
I shockingly raised my head. How did he know my name? That I didn't know, nevertheless, I didn't really care. My name softly coming out his fleshy lips ignited a burning heat inside my heart and tiny body. I obviously zoned out and I didn't bother listening to what he was saying.
We where making our own myths in class today and I decided to draw mine :D I don’t have a name for her yet but she's the goddess of snow.
The Train Accident

There was a handsome male walking back home from school at night because
He has forgotten something, as he was walking back he spotted a beautiful young
Female that was standing by the windowsill resting her elbows on. Both made eye contact and just smiled to each other but the boy was still confused of a female
In a school that is supposed to be for all males and how she still stayed in the school at such a time. Before he wondered more about the brown haired female.
She jumped out of the window, making her reveal her lower half that is missing as the blood drips. Frightened, he was standing on the sidewalk but now as he tried running away Teke Teke caught up to him very quick and chopped up his lower half making the male scream in agony with tears dripping down as his lower half detached by the scythe the
Female had. Both halves of the male flopped to the floor as the blood flows out
Of the boy with the female’s grin only grew larger not guilty for what she done
As the face of the now dead body showed a lifeless face with the tears still dripping and the female just started laughing dropping the scythe.
“That’s probably not real” Katsuki said as he turned off the TV
“C’MON SHE’S REAL. YOUR JUST SCARED KAZEMI” Matsuki replied with
A high voice as she’s kinda screaming “My ears hurt-” “Shut up dude you're being dramatic” She cut some words off of the other male “Rude..” he mumbled
“Maybeee we should-” “NO” both males replied in unison cutting the female
“We shouldn’t, even if it worked we could get cursed if we are still alive, she would
Probably won’t stop until we are killed” Kazemi reasoned “Their right you know?” Akio softly said “It’s 1986 we gotta try! Who knows what’s gonna happen in the future”
As the trans male about to say a word a huge bang came along making the trio turn their heads to see Hanako “WHAT UP DUMMIES” Hanako screamed with
Her arms in the air “I’M GONNA KILL YOU” Hanako laughed as she ran outside, her hands in the air with Takahashi running after her into the campus they go
“Both of them are stupid, they might hit one of the first years” Katsuki sighed
“C’mon let’s go we have one last class” Katsuki extended their hand towards the other male which the male accepted and he raised himself and grabbed
Both his bag and the blondish black haired one as well. He tossed the other
Male’s bag to him and luckily did not hit the floor “Thanks” Katsuki thanked his
Friend as both walked out of their shared dorm to the school
Minutes later both of them arrived at the class both of them have last. 2 hours later
The class finished and all students walked out of the class including both males.
As both were walking outside someone bumped into them “Gomenne senpai! Didn’t see you there” a first year student apologized to them with a smile and his hand behind his head, rubbing it “ that’s fine erm?” “Keigo” The younger student said his name before shaking the older’s hand and then leaving them and their friend alone, both shrugged and continued with their day.
“We shouldn’t be doing this..” Kaiko whispered as both females
Walked to a small forest near campus “You're a pussy cat you know?” “HEY!” Kaiko was offended , making the other female laugh “Here’s where the accidents happened 3 years ago” saying it in a tone that seems like she was trying to scare her friend “I’m not scared you know? I heard the news during 1st year” the female scoffed and moments later The ashy blonde whispered a chant that was made for ones who dared to summon the legless demon and 5 minutes later soon heard rustling.
“W-What was that..?” Kaiko stuttered in fear as
She then screamed in agony making the spiky haired one turned around to see
Her own friend’s leg was cut off. Quickly she grabbed her friend to hold her in a bridal style and ran and she looked back to see Teke Teke, crawling so fast like a cheetah, she didn’t think she was real! Oh God she was wrong after seeing her own friend almost get killed. She ran as fast as she could to the campus.
“KATSUKI HELP! TEKE TEKE IS REAL” “Stop joking around- OH MY GOD
KAIKO??” Katsuki shouted with a wide face. Quickly all 3 students went to the male’s dorm while locking the door “I didn’t actually think she would appear so suddenly!” She admitted while helping patch up Kaiko “WELL WHOSE FAULT IS THAT?” The female only stayed silent, sighing Kazemi broke the silence “Open my laptop” “Huh?” The spiky haired question “Open my laptop and try to make way to FIX THIS” They sharpen their tone at the last 2 words.
“Alright” Takahashi raised up and walked to the small desk and opened the blondish black haired’s laptop and started searching soon after asking for their password. Hours went by then a scream came from the back of the dorms. Checking, one of the 2nd years, Miyako screams from the top of her lungs as the school girl slashed the 2nd year’s under half, seeing that the hazel eyed student quickly closed the blinds “OK I’M SURE WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING” “WAIT CHECK KAIKO'' quickly the friend checked Kaiko but she was long gone “She’s dead..due to blood loss I believe” “What else do you think sherlock?” Of course Matsuki had to be sassy at such a time “Wow, fuck you”.
“You know what? Just throw Kaiko” the goldish brown eyed decided as she picked up their friend with tears in her eyes as she sees her loved friend’s lifeless body as her ears ringed and couldn’t hear her alived friend tried telling them not to do it as she threw the body and it flopped with all the bones cracking as the demon stared at the body before turning her head to see no one. Matsuki managed to close the blinds before the brown haired girl saw. “YOU GUYS, TEKE TEKE IS REAL” a shout came from across the door.
The Takahashi walked slowly and unlocked the door to see Akio with some scratches from the school girl scratching them while trying to kill him. “We know because someone had to do that whisper-summoning chant” Kazemi blurted. Surprised. The middle shortest turned around “How'd you...know?” “I found a website that someone that survived Teke Teke created, I managed to find it since I literally searched ‘Teke Teke surviving guide’ quite fast eh?” They smirked.
As the trio searched the door suddenly cracked revealing the half bodied
School girl with blood dripping down her lower half walking so close made the group shocked and shiver in fear until she whispered “Where did I die?” The two were confused but Katsuki's eyes wided remembering the article saying everything you need to know to survive this certain demon “You died at the train station! You died during 1982, you were bullied and you later on died by a train accident where you were pushed to the railway and was later on chopped in half due to an upcoming train..Four years before the accidents in the forest happened” answered with confident “How did you know?” Akimitsu whispered next to them.
The demon was shocked and said “Arigato” as she lifted her head to look at Katsuki with a small smile. They didn’t even know that their plan would work! It was that simple! Damn Kazemi is feeling dumb for not realizing it sooner. The demon quickly vanished. The trio stood there astonished by the blondish black haired quick answer to save themselves “You..YOU DID IT KATS!” Akio quickly hugged his friend, making the trio laugh.
