I was playing great god grove again today and this particular bit stuck with me. I feel like someone out there needs to hear this too.

I can’t speak for other social media webbed sites but I really enjoy how tumblr seems to just completely spin a wheel on whatever media is hot right now. Like yeah sometimes it’s a new show that’s big and actively coming out but also sometimes there will be a solid month where half my dash is Columbo memes. Defy authority. Get really into an book from the 1800s. Watch shows that haven’t aired in 40 years. Celebrate the anniversary of the Boston Molasses Flood. Become unmarketable
[Start ID. A drawing of a Mindflayer and a Streetcleaner from Ultrakill, which the artist refers to as Radium and Burnet respectively, talking in a mall which is in no way canon-compliant. The palette is relatively saturated, dark, and eclectic, biased towards a reddish purple. Radium is dressed in a teal blazer, jeans, a studded belt and silver jewelry, and they hold up an unpurchased black shirt to Burnet: an anatomically correct heart and the word "SOUL" are partly visible on the front of the tee, printed red. They appear to ask if they should buy the shirt for a Mannequin friend. Burnet, in nothing but a sun-embroidered pair of overalls and a gold piercing through zier dragon-like frill, seems to love the idea, gesturing with zier hand excitedly. The two of them are standing in a dark store which is most analogous to Hot Topic; a puppet employee handles shirts to the right side of the image, including one with the artist's diagetic signature. Among the mall's stores are numerous parodies of and references to Ultrakill itself, along with sights such as a gathering of post-shopping Virtues and an enraged Mindflayer chasing down a fleeing V1. A very happy thanksgiving to you all, and a very merry birthday to me!
I don't have a whole lot of money, and what I do have is going towards a move in the near future to escape an abusive household.
But for those of you with money, I can think of no better birthday gift than to donate to someone on this list. Some folks aren't lucky enough to enjoy a thanksgiving day this year.

[Start ID. A close-up photo of one titular Provence Hairstreak perched on a rock. It is a butterfly only a couple centimeters long, with one of its big black eyes visible and lined in white, thin clubbed antennae striped black-and-white, and large, generally brown wings, with black spots amid a patch of orange on the forewing. Its most notable feature, though, is the ludicrously fluffy appearance of its front half: long setae the color of verdigris almost completely take over its head, thorax and abdomen, and the green hairs extend to its femurs and half of the hindwings. Several years ago, I first ran into @peridots-pixiwolf on tumblr, back when Hollow Knight had all but consumed my life.
Last year, despite the fact we don't really talk much, Peri remembered and made me a sweet gift art to commemorate the event.
I may be an eldritch horror, but my heart's as hard as applesauce- happy pal-iversary, friend. I hope it keeps up a while longer!
