Explore the world, one post at a time
Hey, welcome back guys.
This morning I had rashes on my ears and muscles were starting to ache. My hives have still not gone away. My Mom decided to take me into the clinic. I have Serum disease/sickness. My body has now started to attack my muscles.
So, my muscles hurt, I’m tired and I’m itchy.
This is all I have to report for today. See ya!

Quarantine day three.
So my hives have not gone away, so my mother decided to put oatmeal on my stomach. Surprisingly, it worked. I didn’t scratch for a while. My hives are going away (which is amazing).
There’s nothing really new. My brother is still acting like a brat. He’s 12 years old now but he still can’t do anything without acting like a toddler. He purposely annoys us and laughs when he’s called out on it, and then has a screaming fit if we punish him for it. He honestly acts like a spoiled brat and it’s annoying.
Anyways, that’s all, see ya!

Why am I even that crazy to keep posting here in English, when I'm polish user? 😂 😂 😂 😭
In this blog I’ll be reviewing my pixel animation tutorial from my UCA workshop!
To kick things off, I just wanted to say that I’m not very good at explaining myself in most situations, tutorials included... So at the start I was a tad worried it wouldn’t be up to scratch... However I soon learnt that by making the steps short and easy to follow would make the tutorial better, as well as adding a friendly tone to it!
From this tutorial I learned how to give a friendly tone to the steps, as well as how to make it easy to follow! However I found that writing out the steps and explaining them was quite difficult.
I enjoyed adding my own little bits and pieces into the tutorial, as well as drawing out the steps! It’s really nice for me to see others taking my advice and turning it into something beautiful!
Finally, for the next tutorial I do, I’ll probably try and add in more detail to the steps and maybe not have so many steps in there in the first place!
This tutorial will show you how to do a small pixel animation in Photoshop! Of course, this means you will need Photoshop to do this and I also recommend that you have a Wacom tablet. I would also recommend this tutorial for beginner animators, young and old alike!
I chose to do this tutorial as I recently learned how to do it and am pretty proud of myself for it and was hoping you guys might want to know too! For this tutorial I’m just going to do a simple gif of a blinking eye, nothing too complex!
I am kind of bad at tutorials so sorry if this one isn't the best...
STEP 1:
Open a canvas with these settings! 100 X 100 in pixels is best to get the pixel effect!
STEP 2:
Select the brush tool! You do this by hold clicking the pencil and choosing the icon with the paintbrush on it!
STEP 3:
Open a new layer! You do this by clicking the button I circled!
STEP 4:
Click this button! It will turn the timeline into an interface that’s easier to manage!
(There was an error that happened here that I can’t seem to fix... sorry!)
STEP 5:
Now for the fun part! Draw your design and when your done, click the circled button to create a new frame! You can make the eye in any style you wish, or follow my style!
STEP 6:
Draw the previous design onto the new canvas, but make it move a slight bit. This will make it move when you play the finished result! The smaller the adjustment is, the smoother the animation will turn out but this will mean more work. When you are finished drawing this frame, make another!
STEP 7:
Simply repeat 6 as many times as you need to!
STEP 8:
Now to save your animation!
Click file, and then “save as”.
STEP 9:
Name your animation and save it in the Photoshop (PSD) format, then hit the save button! Depending on how long your animation is will determine the time it takes for your file to save, so you will need to sit tight if you’ve made an animation with a ton of frames!
STEP 10:
If you want to make your animation a gif, click file and then export.
From there, click “save for web (legacy)”. After clicking the button, this window should appear.
If you export it as 100 X 100, it WILL come out really small, like this.
but if you want to make it bigger and still keep the pixel format, I recommend changing it up to 300 X 300. You might lose some of the pixel format by making it bigger however...
So today I made a pixel animation of a fox transforming into an Asian dragon!
The software I used was Adobe Photoshop and it took around 2 hours to make, during making this gif I learned that Photoshop was more than a photo editing software and how to make gifs bigger. I also used a Wacom tablet to draw the frames! I found it difficult at first as I never knew how to animate on photoshop as I’m more comfortable with a different program, but I got used to it quickly!
My inspiration behind it was Japanese mythology, especially the kitsune and it’s transformation powers! I have always been fascinated by Japan and its wonderful culture, so this was a perfect opportunity to let me show that through the wonderful medium of animation!
I have been animating for a while now and I’m always open to try new forms of it so being able to add another form of it under my belt was special. To me this is another step to becoming an animator for a big company or even starting my own!
I really enjoyed sketching out how this animation was going to look, sketching has always been my favorite part of animation and drawing in general because it’s the stage where mistakes don’t really matter and you can just go crazy with the start of your work! I also learned how to use the HSV adjustment tool to get the perfect shade of orange when the color wheel wasn’t good enough as well as how to make the lines come out smoother by tinkering with the brush settings.
However I found the coloring to be a real chore as every time I used the fill tool, pixels would flood outside of the lines and make the final product look really messy and sloppy, so I spent a fair amount of time cleaning that up just so the final product would look cleaner and smoother.
If I had a chance to revisit and redo this animation, I would probably make it longer and smoother, so someday I might remake this animation and it might not even be in a pixel format!
For a start, I just want to express how grateful I am for the redesign Paramount worked so hard on! They took their monstrosity and made it look more like the modern sonic we know and love to this day!
Another thing to note about the redesign is how much more emotion and expression it holds, the enlarged eyes show more emotions and give the animators in this project more to work with. Not only that but by getting rid of the “human” teeth, the design appears less uncanny and more cartoon-like. I also think that the CGI is immaculate as throughout the film I didn’t see the model do anything rigid and the model seemed unnatural to earth but still seemed semi-organic.
The story of the movie is easy to follow and quite fast paced in my opinion. There are some cringe worthy scenes, such as the moment when he flosses after defeating one of Robotnik’s robots and near the end when he get his new bed.
The beginning of the film shows Sonic’s childhood and why he must stay hidden in order to protect his power and himself. This bit of the movie is a tad cliche with having the parent figure perish whilst protecting the protagonist. It then timeskips to the older and current version of sonic, showing how he lives and interacts with the other characters. It also shows us that Sonic is lonely and tired of having to hide. During him playing a baseball game with himself he snaps and causes a massive power outage which alerts the government, causing them to send in Dr Robotnik who is played by Jim Carrey. Whilst Sonic is looking for a place to use his rings he is accidentally tranquilized by Tom who then takes him to San Francisco whilst avoiding Robotnik.
The story has many memorable moments and like I said earlier, easy to follow. One of my favorite scenes is the bar fight. It was comical and had a couple of surprises and by looking at it I can feel that the actors had fun with it. The editing in this scene was also really smooth and pleasing for me in a way.
The characters in the story were also memorable and had a nice feel to them. Each one stuck out and had their own quirks! In my opinion the best character was Robotnik by far, not only was he comical and an interesting villain but also had a great personality and made didn’t fall into the category of being “too generic”. Jim Carrey did a great job at capturing Robotnik’s personality and incorporating it into his acting.
However not everything about the movie was perfect, like I mentioned earlier I hated the fact that Sonic flossed in the movie, it seemed out of character for him and was a cheap tactic to keep the kids interested. I also thought that the movie was quite cliche in some parts and cringe worthy.
The music was a mix for me, there were some bits of it that were really nice to listen to, especially the reboot of the green hill zone theme towards the end and having the music from the sonic mania trailer at the beginning (one of my favorite music artists composed that)! However not all the track was too memorable and didn’t have much of an affect on me.
Apart from that I feel this movie was a good one and as much as I’d like to say I’d recommend it to anyone, I think major Sonic fans and children would enjoy this film the best.
Atsuko is a video game artist. She works for the Pokemon company and has been ever since the first games! Originally most of the Pokemon designs were supposed to appear scary or tough like Charizard or Tyranitar, but she took some of the designs and gave them a cutesy look!
Atsuko is also the mastermind behind the company’s mascot Pikachu! She also designed a couple of the eevee evolutions and even designed my favorite Pokemon Zoroark! Not only that but if it wasn’t for her, Ivysaur would look like this!
Another cute fact about this artist is she’s super camera shy, during an interview in 2018 she spent the entire thing hiding behind a Pikachu plush!
Atsuko’s work is very important to the company because without her design we wouldn’t have a balance of designs within the Pokemon games. We mainly have intimidating ones such as Garchomp or Metagross.
Atsuko is an inspiration to me because not only are her designs diverse and loved by all but they also hold purpose in a way. The main rule of a pokemon design is that they need to look like they’d be your friend, I feel that Atsuko pulls this off really well! I try and make my work to have the same feel, some of my characters may look intimidating but deep down inside they’re total sweethearts who will have your back no matter what, either that or they’re just goofballs who want to have a good time with you!
One of the things that amazes me about her is that when she made the design for the company’s mascot, Pikachu, she didn’t make any concept sketches! She went straight to the computer and started punching dot’s to create him. She even quoted it herself in one of her interviews!
I like her designs because of how much character they hold and the color schemes and inspiration behind them are interesting! Not only that but the designs are also loved by many people and I wish to have people enjoy my designs, similarly to how they enjoy Atsuko’s!
Random kindness? Or Salty revenge? (11.28.2017) // It was normal day. As usual i made my way through Targét, before work. Hunting for discount sales, like the true mother i am. Unfortunately, Lady Luck did not bless me w/her magical juju. After purchasing an unnecessary bathing suit for a whopping $40.71, I made my way into a widely popular café where Pumpkin Spice drinks are praised, like it were wine made from the blood of Christ, himself. Where the stereotypical teenage girl struts in, wearing yoga pants and UGG boots. (yes, Starbucks)
I set my belongings on a table secluded from the rest of the customers (bc loner✌🏻). I grab my wallet and turn back to obtain a place in line, when an arm shoots out in front of me. My eyes follow the arm to its owner. A girl with a red shirt and light khakis. She hands a small brown, paper bag w/2 white doves on it. “Here.” She says. “I wanted a chocolate chip one but they gave me this one.” I could only assume that her salty tone was directed at the Barista, who was too busy doing her job to pay attention at the death glares. I dismissed the bitter remark and thanked her for the free treat. Then, proceeded to order my beverage of choice (an iced chai w/coconut milk😏👌🏻). Now, as I type this theatrical caption, I’m enjoying this delicious, pumpkin spiced, octo-cookie. So,win. Moral of the story, never deny a gift?? Idk take what you want from this.😂
So, I was running late for school, its was 8:30 A.M. when my mom and I left the house to go to Dunkin Donuts. When we got to the parking lot, a man no more than 22-23 years old, was riding up the sidewalk on his skateboard. He was about average height. No more than 5′9″. He wore camouflage cargo shorts with a grey undershirt-I didn't really look at his shoes. Upon his freckled skin were old, faded, and scarred up tattoos. His hair was buzzed off. He didn't seem dangerous, but wasn't your average Joe walking around in jeans and a t-shirt. He stood out yet he was invisible at the same. (if that makes sense?)
After we found a parking space, I got out of the car before my mom and quickly made my way across the lot toward the front door. And I noticed the man holding the door open for an older gentleman (mid to late 50s or 60s), and we made eye contact (awkward) so I sped up a little; jogging to the door; feeling guilty for letting him stand there while I walked. When I finally reached the door, I smiled at him and thanked him. And he smiled back, nodding his head slightly, before saying “You're welcome.” As I walked by him, I noticed one of his face tattoos was tear drop on his right cheek bone. It was the only one that really caught my attention. (not in an offense or negative way, it was just the only tattoo that stood out to me at the time.)
Then, he disappeared into the bathrooms along with the older gentleman from earlier. My mom and I go about our usual business and order breakfast. (99¢ coupons bc we’re cheap & poor lol ). When the cashier hands me my iced coffee, I thank her and set off to find a straw for my drink. I could hear my mom ordering and the cashier telling her the price. Suddenly, I feel someone standing behind me. but like rly close-like he was just a inch behind me. And then I hear a familiar voice say:
“You have a good day, now. Okay?” I turn around and it was the same man. So, I smiled back at him and wished him the same before he walked out of the shop and took off on his skateboard. I walked back over to my mom at the counter and she asked me about the man and what he said to me. I told her and told her about the tear drop tattoo he had. She said that he had to have been in jail or prison to have one on his face like that. (not ALL ppl who have teardrop tattoos on their face are/have been in jail/prison. nor are they ‘bad ppl’, that is just her theory as to why that tattoo was on this particular dude’s face. if you want my personal opinion send me a message and i will share it w/u.)
Since then, I spent most of my day thinking about the kind stranger from Dunkin Donuts. And wondering if his day just as mediocre as mine. So, yeah. That was the highlight of my day and possibly the whole week.
Yesterday was hard, today is much the same. My sobriety is one of the few things I have left that are purely good and I am happy to say that just for today I feel happy being and staying sober. I just keep reminding myself that things will get better.
And if they don't, we'll at least I can look forward to the end.

Hi there! I’m lumonyix (pronounced loom-oh-nicks) also known as Ace. I’m making my (not-so-grand) return to being active online (and by that I mean posting and then immediately leaving) as of now (late 2024).
If you know me from DeviantArt, Instagram, Twitter, or somewhere else (either by lumonyx or lumonyix), you are within the minority. I have never had a following and would not like to have one now, but I did try and get some traction on Instagram for a while. It’s better that I didn’t get much because if I were a teenager posting in today’s world people definitely would have hardcore bullied me because my art was very ugly for longer than it should have been. I think it’s at least presentable now. I am a hobbyist and draw purely for fun, when I have the time and energy.
I don’t expect this page to curate a following; if it somehow does I will be beyond shocked. As a heads-up, I am very bad at posting frequently. I’ll mainly post something when I draw something. Which is infrequently.
I am an avid fan of Dragon Ball currently, much of my artwork will probably be related to this. I was an extreme Team Galactic fan as a high schooler and am currently rediscovering my Cyrus obsession in real time :D
Nothing much else to say but list a few of my other interests:
I love to play video games and listen to music!! I also like reading manga (trying to get back into reading actual like, literature)
Steam Community :: aceofspace_
^this is my steam account if you want to know the kind of stuff I play! In terms of music, I will listen to just about anything but like alternative rock in particular!
I am obsessed with characters i literally love characters so much. characters are the most important parts of fiction to me and are my main artistic inspiration. Some of my favorites are:
Vegeta - Dragon Ball
Frieza - Dragon Ball (IMPORTANT NOTE: I hate him but am fixated on him. He is ugly and short. I have no love for him whatsoever. I think he is very gay. But i like thinking about him because making fun of him is therapeutic)
Shin - Dragon Ball
Cyrus - Pokémon
Pompompurin - Sanrio
Rarity - My Little Pony FIM
…and MANY more, mainly DBZ/Pokémon related
side note I am a shipper, i like thinking about my favorite characters kissing and occasionally drawing it. not super crazy about anything rn but I was the BIGGEST Cyrus x Cynthia shipper to ever exist and am slowly falling back down that rabbit hole. My Pokémon lore is too insane. Also around 2021 I started being a huge Frieza x Android 17 fan, I have a good amount of art sitting from that time, don’t think I’ll post it LOL but if you are a Cynthius or Frie17 truther ily.
that’s about it! I’m mainly just here to chill and keep a digital lookbook of my art around. if you actually read this far, thank you for listening to the ramblings of an insane person
so long!

See how I forgot to do one of these?
she lemony on my snicket until there is an unfortunate event
If my life was a movie my phrase at the end would definitely be
“It's funny because it's true.”
Yep, that's pretty much it.
I was born almost 20 years ago, And for a good portion of my adolescence any question your standard 7-year-old would have I would obnoxiously ask my family members when they didn't look busy.
It took until I was almost 9 to learn that babies weren't birthed orally. And I only just recently learned that ice does indeed carry bacteria.
Ok, hi guys, I really should learn English instead of using the deepl translator 🥺👉👈
Aha but the important thing, then I decided to get back into the world of drawing and all that, because hell if others can write about their favorite characters, I can draw them osea, for that I used to draw, but I quit you know procrastination 😣🔫
So expect me to upload my classes on how I relearn anatomy🦴, and basic color, (traditional and digital)🥸🤓 and maybe how I learn my fucking subjects already know some algebra🤢 and languages🗿 or maybe my martial arts 🥋👍.
You can probably notice that I'm in diverse fandom, so I'll upload of varied characters, if I don't die trying😢🙏, and of course I'll tag everything to make it easier🗿. (If I upload NSFW I'll put it in censorship, since I understand that not everyone wants to see that kind of content, and that's respectable, otherwise everything is fine, and hopefully we won't have problems).🫠
Bye, bye💅🍒

I LOVE MAUS!! My mom introduced me to the series and got me both volumes as a present. It’s such an important and true story
For no reason, here is Art Spiegelman's 1991 graphic novel Maus, for free on the Internet Archive.
Might be able to get my ex banned from entering my store cuz seeing him literally causes me to break down! Yay!
Man do I love writing with music in the background. Makes me feel like Lemony Snicket
