Am I the only one that does not like the Bratz Live Action movie?
Like that movie was NOT giving Bratz, like why did it seem like Jade was the only one with a passion for fashion? It would have been so cool if the movie showed how they became friends and them creating Bratz Magazine.
The Bratz movie should have been giving True Jackson VP, the fashion designer elements of That’s So Raven, and maybe the teen magazine element of The Latest Buzz since the movie came out in 2007.
Think about how in Lemonade Mouth, the movie opened up with people buying ticket at Madison Square Garden to see them perform, they were getting ready in the dressing room, about to perform, then it cut to how they formed the band?
Imagine the Bratz movie opening up with teens and people in their 20s buying the magazines from newsstands, buying Bratz brand clothes, looking up the Bratz blog, and people are about to present the latest clothing line from Bratz and I imagine Cloe narrating, saying something cheesy like “it’s not everyday 4 teen girls grow up to be fashion moguls” or something like that. They have always had a passion for fashion but they never thought about having their own magazine until one day this happened and it shows the day before they decided to create a fashion magazine. Although, to be realistic, it probably would have had started off as a blog, kinda like the movie Frenemies with Bella Thorne and Zendaya.
The point is; the official Bratz movie was not my favorite and it didn’t feel like Bratz to me, that is all.
I also really want to buy the Always Bratz Yasmin doll and the Goin’ Out Jade doll SO BAD
I have always preferred Bratz. When I was younger, I had 3 Bratz movies on DVD. Bratz Starrin’ and Stylin’, Bratz Rock Angelz, and Bratz Genie Magic.
My aunt gave me a tin Bratz bucket when I was 10 in Mexico, I kept that all the way through high school, I LOVED Bratz. My friends grew up watching the Barbie movies, the girls in my old sorority grew up watching the Barbie movies, I, however, did not. I owned Barbies but I was never a Barbie fan, does that make sense? I want to say maybe it’s because I’m Latina, but my friends are Mexican too so that’s not it.
All I know is that me growing up watching Bratz definitely influenced my style, I love platform sneakers, I love the look of mom jeans because the pant leg is a little wider, but still sorta fitted around the thighs, I like to think I’m a Bratz Girl.
Does anyone else feel like a Bratz living in a Barbie world?
