Once more I need to talk about Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun! Specifically about Mephisto.
As such, manga spoilers ahead!
I've been thinking of the Scala exam a lot recently, and about Mephisto's reaction to Iruma. I realized that this is the first time in the manga that we see someone contrast Iruma from Delkira instead of compare him to.
If you think about it, it is often repeated through the series about how similar Iruma is to Delkira. Asmodeus saw him as Delkira during his first evil cycle when sitting on the throne. Repeatedly Sullivan sees Delkira in Iruma. Amduscias saw Delkira in Iruma during the musical festival. We are pretty consistently reminded the similarities between Iruma and the previous Demon King. It's kinda like we start to see Delkira as this amazing, never wrong being.
I think that is why it is so shocking when we get Mephisto's view point on the very beginning of Delkira as Demon King. For the first time, we see someone viewing Delkira in a negative light. We see Delkira be greedy and selfish enough that someone was essentially fired from the position that they had held for centuries. Mephisto was cast off on the whims of Delkira.
I think it is so interesting that it takes hundreds of chapters to get to this point. When I first read it, it felt wrong. Like 'that's not right.' Iruma is compared so often to this person that seeing something negative about them feels off putting. It's a reminder that Delkira was not perfect.
I also think that is why the conversation between Mephisto and Iruma is so beautiful. Mephisto realizes how different Delkira and Iruma are from each other, and because of those differences, Mephisto sees a future king in Iruma. That Iruma cares so much that he would never cast aside anybody. Everybody is important to him no matter who they are. This is the first time we finally get someone looking at Iruma as a future demon king because he is different from Delkira.
No one means ill by comparing Iruma to Delkira. Instead everybody means the highest respect by doing that, but there is something so refreshing about Iruma being seen as a future leader for being Iruma. For being greedy in a different way. Instead of making it all about himself and his desires, his greed stems from wanting everyone to be happy and fulfilled.
I was not expecting this outcome from the Scala exam. Initially I was very wary of Mephisto, but now I've come to love his character. He just wants to feel needed again, and Iruma offers that without even realizing it. Iruma is so clueless to the impact he has on the demons around him.
I hope my rambling was coherent. Basically, I am really excited for the series to continue and to see how this all progresses. To see Iruma continue to make a name for himself, as himself. This manga is just so beautifully done.
Did some more redraws of Mairimashita Iruma Kun becaue Osamu Nishi's art style when it comes to demons in the wicked cycle (espesially Irumi) is just really pretty. And I love the contrast of Irumi's comfidence between the first and second time singing with Kuromu
I had a sudden epiphany regarding Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun, and I need to talk about it. It does contain spoilers for the manga!
In the manga, it is pretty obvious that Iruma has some sort of connection to Derkila (spelling based off the official translation), but it is not told to us what that connection is. BUT I was thinking about it today and made some connections. Namely Ali-San.
I always thought that Ali's full name, Alikred, had to be important somehow. They way he says it at first is so solemn. So I took a second really look, and it felt like someone slapped upside the head. Alikred is just Derkila backwards. Maybe others noticed that, but it just hit me.
In the manga, before the Heartbreaker arc, Iruma uses the mana readout machine, and everyone thinks it broke when he used it. Later, though, we learn that it actually has Derkila's seal and accordingly to Baal, this means Iruma has Derkila's mana.
Little things start to make sense when you look back at it then. Like how the first time Ali-San uses his mana to have Iruma experience his evil cycle, Iruma comes up with the plan to open Royal one, AKA the classroom that Derkila used during his time at Babylus. One that has been held in perfect suspension for Derkila and no one else to use.
Once Royal one is opened, he sits on Derkila's throne, and Asmodeus alludes to the fact that in that moment, Iruma looked like Derkila.
During the Harvest Festival, Iruma uses the rings mana (and Lied and Clara) to have the Legendary Leaf bloom. When it blooms, he gets a vision of Derkila saying, "So, it's you." At that same time, Ali-San 'goes to sleep.'
Ali-san is not woken up until Amducias plays Purson's trumpet after the musical festival arc. Earlier in that arc, Amducias mentioned that only Derkila could hear their music, but after the Misfits win, they play the trumpet to begin the promotion ceremony. (Amducias also mentions that Iruma reminds them of Derkila for some reason). Overall, it was Amduias's music that woke up Ali-San.
In the end, Ali-San is mostly definitely a part of Derkila. Whether he is actually Derkila, who knows, but I think Ali is more than a manifestation of the mana in the ring. It is really interesting to look back and start to make connections for this idea. The writing is so well done, and I am so excited to see where the manga goes and how everything will be explained one day.
HI long time no post š i got a new tablet and i wanna be more active again wahhh so have this drawing i did last night!!
With the end of the war came a period of silence. The death of heroes shook society hard. Society had blamed and shunned heroes ruthlessly. Everyone pointed fingers at the people who offered safety and endless security. When they saw many who died at the hands of villains to save the world, no one knew what to do. Consumed by guilt and denial, civilians split in half.
The reconstruction period was difficult and challenging. Homelessness was at an all time high, funding was at an all time low, a depression overcame Japan.
Aizawa and Midoriya were in poor condition, but knew they needed to make a public appearance. Midoriya persevered, giving a heartfelt speech that had the world bowing on their knees. The world watched a 16 year old explain everything. Izuku Midoriya explained the arrival of quirks and the rise of All for One. He told the story of those that came before him. Midoriya took accountability for his role in the war. He explained he was the one mainly targeted despite the villains goal to wipe out all heroes.
While there was major changed that needed to be made, good came with the bad. Urarakaās parentās buisness was booming. With the high demand of builders and homes, her familyās buisness brought loads of money their way. Companies were determined to get repaired fast to have things up and running once more.
A year passed and everything was rebuilt. Companies were running again, schools were opening up their buildings. Third years from hero schools came out to claim their pro-hero title and get to work. Class 1-A still had to finish their education, but were allowed to go on patrol instead of PE. Relationships blossomed and friendships became unbreakable.
Katsuki and Izuku made things official the moment Katsuki was allowed to have visitors in the hospital. It was a rough reunion, but theyāve never felt better. Mitsuki, Masaru, and Inko had given the two some privacy before bursting in and restarting the tear fest.
Todoroki was proud of Katsuki for finally getting the guts to confess. He ended up joining the two in the hospital bed and cuddling with them. Todoroki was the official third wheel and he had no problem getting never ending attention from the two.
Uraraka took the time to accept what had happened. She found love in Iida, the person who always made her smile. Iida was surprised with the upfront confession from Uraraka, but awkwardly accepted it. Uraraka laughed at how red his face was, knowing he couldnāt hide behind his stoic personality.
Momo and Jiro found courage from Midoriya and Bakugo to confess their own love for one another. They knew the strong friendship they felt wasnāt enough. They had always known there was a bigger connection than what they made it out to be. They walked into visit Bakugo and Midoriya, holding hands happily. The new couples both greeted each other calmly. Bakugo was still high on painkillers but thatās beside the point.
Midoriyaās teeth had gotten a bit messed up in the fight. Once everything was healed, he needed braces to fix up the damage. Bakugo adored them, forcing Midoriya to smile just so he can admire the new look. Midoriya didnāt need to be asked to smile, far too happy that everything was over, Bakugo was safe, and he was now dating āKacchanā.
Kirishima and Mina took a while to get to it, but they ended up making things official when the effects of the war died down a bit. Kaminari and Sero were optimistic about the future, knowing with All for One being dead there was a lot less trouble to come. Ojiro and Hagakure were much like Mina and Kirishima. They decided to start dating when things calmed down and the time felt right.
Aoyama and his family were able to recover. It was clear there were going to be some serious repercussions for their crimes. Despite the odds against him, Aoyama proved his determination to be a hero. Midoriya was going to help him through his journey.
With the rise of a new era, came new rules that needed to be enforced. The biggest issue being dwelled on was quirk-discrimination. Many villains rise came from mistreatment or the backlash they received from their quirk. Quirkless discrimination was also taken just as seriously due to the high suicide rate that came with not having a quirk. The hierarchy of quirks came to an end as heroism was no longer as big as it had been.
The world repaired itself and so did society. Time passed and soon class 1-A graduated. They were out building their own agencies, employing people left an right. While crime was very low, heroes were still needed for any kind of situation.
Midoriya and Bakugo started their own agency. They had a good bit of their classmates working there as well, and of course Todoroki was one of them.
It was a Saturday and Todoroki was in charge since Midoriya and Bakugo wanted off on the same day for a change.
Midoriya sat of the edge of the balcony, swinging his feet back and forth. The morning sun lit up his face and the breeze twirled his long hair. Bakugo hated his dumb, beautiful long hair. He knew Midoriya would eventually cut it, but it was still stupid. His bangs were clipped back and his earrings jingled.
There was something mesmerizing about Midoriyaās soft, gorgeous face and his scared, beefy body. Bakugo loved Midoriya. And when Midoriya turned around to flash a wide smile to show off his braces, Bakugo could pass out.
Something about the easy, carefree morning that would guide them to a passionate night made his gut bubble. Bakugo sets his cup of morning tea on the table with Midoriyaās before swinging his legs over the balcony and sitting down. Midoriya kissed his cheek before snuggling into his side. Bakugo sighed, feeling complete. His body moved naturally to sink into Midoriya.
āMorning Kacchan.ā
āMorninā Izuku.ā
Perfect.
The end of an era and the beginning...
I started this comic back when ch 362 of the manga came out. Now that Light Fades to Rain is animated it motivated me to finally finish it.
Obviously the manga didn't end up like this but it helped me cope at the time. Enjoy :)
I love in manga and anime during an extremely serious moment (like almost final battle moment) the main character just makes a goofy a-s face (the one I recently saw Kaiju no.8) I also love it when a normally deadpan character gets super detailed when they smile and such likeeeee ^^

Okay so I was taking a shower and I was listening to music like the cool cat that I am when āTime In A Bottleā by Jim Croce came on and immediately, my brain was likeĀ āwhat if you just started thinking of Kagaya and Amane from Demon Slayer?ā and so I did and now Iām feeling really sad because itās too real like they really didnāt have enough time with each other or with their kids and they were way too young to go the way they did.
Excuse me while I go cry for a bit
Inosuke: Okay, if you guys had to choose one of the pillars to-
Zenitsu: Uzui.
Tanjiro: But he didnāt even finish asking the question. What if he says something different than what you thought he was going to say?
Zenitsu: ...Ā Itās Inosuke.Ā He only thinks of, like, one thing.
Tanjiro: Who knows? He may surprise you.
Zenitsu, to Inosuke: Is it bad?
Inosuke: Only if you think feeding the pillar to the demons as an unwilling sacrifice is bad!
Zenitsu, looking Tanjiro in the eye matter-of-a-factly: Seeing as I do think that is a bad thing,Ā my answer is Uzui.

'I get it, I understand it now... Who you really are.'
OH MY GOD, CHAPTER 400 GOT ME SILENTLY SCREAMING IN MY ROOM. LEGIT GOOSEBUMPS AT EVERY SINGLE POINT BOTH TEAMS GAIN. PLUS, THE FACT THAT FURUDATE ADDED THE BANNERS BEHIND EVERY PERSON IN THE MONSTER GENERATION IS JUST THE CHERRY ON TOP OF A SUNDAE.
in short, FURUDATE IS A GENIUS.

These ones are so beautiful, the artstyle here >>>
Okay so I know that Mic isnāt with Aizawa in the chapter, but I was thinking, what if he was? What if Aizawa cut off his leg, got his eye all scratched up, then still was trying to keep erasure activated even as heās barely staying conscious. (Iām not sure, but in 282 you can see his eyes are a tiny bit open and in 283 his hair is like, trying to float but isnāt quite floating.)
Iām actually wondering which of the two fights Mic will go to now that he isnāt watching the doctor. He can either go to the fight against Shigaraki and we can see his reaction to Aizawa being badly injured, or he can go fight Gigantomachia and the stampede of villains he has following him. Iām not sure which heāll choose, but Iām super excited and nervous to see what happens!!!Ā
The brunette took in his own deep breath, trying to recompose himself as Deku pulled back. The hand that was occupied in the green nest of hair came down to rest on Izukuās cheek. He returned the smile the best that he could. Of course Rody was beyond happy to see Izuku again, but the circumstances that brought him here werenāt... the best.
He nodded slowly, allowing the other to lead the way. He spared a quick glance to the heroās classmates as they headed off. Rody stayed close to Izuku, just as he was staying close to him. There wasnāt much to say on the way there. It wasnāt an uncomfortable silence, though. There was understanding and patience behind it. And concern.
Whatever he had expected from Dekuās room, it was nothing compared to what it actually was. After taking in the dĆ©cor of the room for a good few seconds, Rody was very obviously fighting back a smile.Ā āYouāre making this impossibly hard for me, Izuku.ā He finally had the opportunity to see Dekuās room and he wasnāt even allowed to laugh. Well, he could, but Rody didnāt want to tease him too hard considering the events that had just happened. They were here to cuddle! But-
āMan... You really are an adorable nerd.ā It was said with softness and adoration. With a ruffle of said nerdās hair, Rody walked into the room, getting a better look at the place. Donāt tease. Donāt tease. Donāt tease.
Izuku was tired. Exhausted, honestly. Physically, emotionally, and any other type of exhausted that existed. After Uraraka managed to convince the civilians to let him rest at U.A., the last of his adrenaline drained from him. He could barely stand, so it was no surprise when his male classmates lifted him into the air and carried him off to the bath.Ā
Though, as he was being carted off, he managed to glance around at the familiar surroundings of the common area. Though heād been away for nearly two months, it felt more like an entire year instead.Ā
Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted an oddly familiar pink bird flying across the living room. There was no way, right...?Ā
There was no way he was here...!Ā
He was just hallucinating from exhaustion. That had to be it! Still, Izuku could feel his heart ache as he was pulled into the bathroom.Ā

MANGA SPOILERS???
Everyone shut up. Oh my GOD, JEANY?????
In the Japanese version he says "Jini-san"
So the anime did this- Hizashi is crying too. This changes not only the emotional beat of this episode-
It changes his outburst.
"That's for making my friends cry."
Please. Please. Keep the line as it is. He cares so SO much about his friends- more than he cares for himself.
Guys so- I just noticed that Mic calling out for Shirakumo is the final push he needed to break out. Aizawa has been calling out to Shirakumo for a while here and as soon as Hizashi joins him-
They're a trio. Never forget that.
Present Mic goes to visit Kurogiri/Shirakumo after the war arc, alone, because Aizawa is still in hospital. He doesnāt put his hero costume on, firstly because heās just plain exhausted and tired of dressing up, secondly he knows this is Shirakumo and he wants his friend to see him, Hizashi, this time. Mic is quiet for a while, and then just whispers, āSheās dead. Sheās gone.ā He looks up at the window and says louder, āKayamaās dead! Sheās dead! Aizawaās in the hospital, with only one leg and one eye. Please tell me that means something to you!ā He jumps out of his chair, knocking it over in his haste, and approaches the window, ignoring the voices over the intercom warning him to keep his distance. āKayamaās dead!ā He shouts, quirk activating and shaking the whole room. āAizawa was nearly killed too. And I was nowhere near! I couldnāt do anything to help them, Oboro, nothing.ā He leans forward, resting his forehead against the glass, and closes his eyes. Silver tear tracks shimmer down his cheeks. āCome back to us, Oboro, please,ā he whispers. āI need you to come back. I canāt do this alone.ā Inside the cell, the black mist begins to wobble.
