Since I know that this is important for some of you to know, I hereby pledge:
I will never use AI for writing fanfic. The creative process of brainstorming, writing, rereading and refining is why I do it at all. That's the fun part. Everything else is like balm on your wounded fingertips after you've written and stared at the same words for over 5 hours.
It would feel like selling my soul if I'd use AI. I'd sell the joy itself. What pray tell would I get in return? More balm? For what? I didn't even touch the pen.

*Usually you wake up late and constantly notice that your things are always out of place... Thats why you decided to get up early today.*
*When you stood with your feet on the floor, you heard a slimy sound in the kitchen. You quickly walk there with a slipper in your hand.*
*But you come across a middle-aged man made of mucus preparing breakfast. When he saw you, he was very shocked, but there was nowhere to run.* “Uh.. Listen, wont kick me out, please..."

So it looks like NaNoWriMo are happy to have AI as part of their community. Miss me with that bullshit. Generative artificial intelligence is an active threat to creativity and the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people in creative fields.
Please signal boost this so writers can make an informed choice about whether to continue to take part in such a community.
hey anyone who sees this! if you haven't heard, tumblr is selling your data to ai! to prevent this, please direct yourself to your settings and scroll past 'general settings' all the way down to a little tab marked 'visiblity'. click on that and turn on the 'prevent third party sharing' slider! have a good one and stay secure folks
y’all I made AI from oshi no ko (don’t mind the purple splat on her had that was a accident)
Normalize stealing from AI "Artists"
I'm currently writing an essay for my English literature class and despite the fact that the only thing I've used is a spell checker, it's being flagged as AI and I have no clue why. Is this normal or should I edit my essay so it's different or do something else?
"ai is making it so everyone can make art" Everyone can make art dipshit it came free with your fucking humanity
me and my homies support real artists who put their passion into their pieces instead of a machine who rips off the hard work of talented peeps
I need like future ai to be able to sesh with me pleaseeee I'm so lonely
Spotify wrapped 2024 prove you didn’t generate the entire thing using ai challenge
Okay soo chai has a new update (i assume its new) where if you typed 'jesus forever' in all caps and no space it uhh becomes holy i guess? So i tried it out with this black ace bot and it works (this feels so unhinged)
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has swiftly transitioned from being a futuristic concept to an integral part of our daily lives. From helping us navigate our day more efficiently to revolutionizing industries, AI’s impact is profound and far-reaching. This blog explores how AI has embedded itself into our routines, its advantages, and the ethical concerns surrounding its widespread adoption.
At its core, Artificial Intelligence refers to the ability of machines to mimic human intelligence. This encompasses learning, reasoning, problem-solving, understanding language, and even recognizing emotions. The technology powers numerous applications designed to make life easier, smarter, and more efficient.
Smart AssistantsAI powers virtual assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant, which help manage schedules, provide weather updates, and control smart home devices. These assistants leverage natural language processing (NLP) to understand and respond to human speech effectively.
Personalized RecommendationsWhether you’re scrolling through Netflix or shopping on Amazon, AI algorithms analyze your preferences and behaviors to suggest content or products tailored to your taste. This personalization enhances user experience and fosters engagement.
Navigation and Traffic ManagementApps like Google Maps and Waze use AI to provide real-time traffic updates, suggest optimal routes, and even predict future traffic patterns based on historical data.
Healthcare and FitnessWearables like Fitbit and Apple Watch monitor vital health metrics, providing insights powered by AI. Moreover, AI-driven applications help doctors analyze medical data, aiding in faster and more accurate diagnoses.
Social Media AlgorithmsPlatforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok use AI to curate feeds, highlight trending topics, and even moderate content. The algorithms ensure users engage with content relevant to their interests.
Efficiency and Convenience: AI eliminates repetitive tasks, automating processes like email sorting, bill payments, and more.
Enhanced Decision-Making: AI analyzes massive amounts of data quickly, providing actionable insights for better decision-making.
Cost Savings: In industries like manufacturing, AI-powered robots increase efficiency, reduce errors, and cut costs.
Despite its advantages, AI’s integration into daily life isn’t without challenges:
Data PrivacyMany AI applications rely on user data to function effectively. Concerns about how this data is collected, stored, and used remain a significant issue.
Bias in AlgorithmsAI systems can inadvertently reflect biases present in their training data, leading to unfair outcomes in applications like hiring or lending.
Job DisplacementAutomation powered by AI threatens jobs in certain sectors, raising concerns about unemployment and the need for reskilling workers.
Autonomy and ControlAs AI systems become more sophisticated, questions arise about their autonomy and the extent to which humans can control them.
AI is poised to play an even bigger role in the future. Advances in areas like autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and healthcare promise significant benefits. However, these developments must be balanced with robust policies to address ethical concerns.
Artificial Intelligence has undeniably become a cornerstone of modern life, enhancing convenience, productivity, and innovation. However, as we embrace AI’s potential, it’s crucial to remain vigilant about its implications, ensuring its development aligns with societal values and ethics. With the right approach, AI can continue to improve our lives in ways we once only imagined.
Ok.... Anyway, I hope this does not crash at least in 3 paragraphs....
Gaara is character we all know for the fact he was lonely and hurt, so he wanted to repay back and saw the world as black and white where one lives for themselves. This is so relatable, because the world be like that. Naruto made connection with him, since they can relate. Naruto's way of life rubbed on Gaara. In ultimate ego centric way of existence, there is nothing but constant destruction. Gaara understands it deeply, so he abandons it for hope, for ability to enjoy something longlasting
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK UFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
Second paragraph. The idea of dreams and the world of virtual reality, the project tsukoyi no me can become like that, in the real world we have AI and nuclear synthesis. So that means, humans are capable of having ego centric fantasy in virtual reality with contemporary driven energy consumptions using nuclear energy. i ask you IF THIS IS EVIL if it benefits you or if its evil from authenticity? SIGH
it crasehs every fucking time. FUCK THIS PLACE
Third paragraph. Just think of these two examples and think of what I said in previous lines. Ignore the video of me sleepin'.
Please be aware that the "opt-out" choice is just a way to try to appease people. But Tumblr has not been transparent about when has data been sold and shared with AI companies, and there are sources that confirm that data has already been shared before the toggle was even provided to users.
Also, it seems to include data they should not have been able to give under any circumstance, including that of deactivated blogs, private messages and conversations, stuff from private blogs, and so on.
Do not believe that "AI companies will honor the "opt-out request retroactively". Once they've got their hands on your data (and they have), they won't be "honoring" an opt-out option retroactively. There is no way to confirm or deny what data do they have: The fact they are completely opaque on what do they currently "own" and have, means that they can do whatever they want with it. How can you prove they have your data if they don't give everyone free access to see what they've stolen already?
So, yeah, opt out of data sharing, but be aware that this isn't stopping anyone from taking your data. They already have been taking it, before you were given that option. Go and go to Tumblr's Suppport and leave your Feedback on this (politely, but firmly- not everyone in the company is responsible for this.)
Finally: Opt out is not good under any circumstance. Deactivated people can't opt out. People who have lost their passwords can't opt out. People who can't access internet or computers can't opt out. People who had their content reposted can't opt out. Dead people can't opt out. When DeviantArt released their AI image generator, saying that it wasn't trained on people who didn't consent to it, it was proven it could easily replicate the styles of people who had passed away, as seen here. So, yeah. AI companies cannot be trusted to have any sort of respect for people's data and content, because this entire thing is just a data laundering scheme.
Please do reblog for awareness.
There are many sides to the debate over AI’s use as tool in daily, all of which speak loud and passionately on its ups and downs.
My new video covers none of this, but it’s a pretty funny watch.
Enjoy!
this ad wants to hire philosophy specialists to train their AI.
in philosophy.
they want to train the machine that can't think on the subject that's literally thinking about thinking.
someone smarter than me write in the comments how the classical philosophers are freaking out in the afterlife
(diogenes brandishing a texting autocomplete feature: Behold, a man!)
Really disappointed honestly
YOUR ART AND IMAGES ON TUMBLR ARE BEING USED TO TRAIN AI MODELS.
The opt-in is automatic, but you can turn it off in settings.
Go to "Blog Settings" -> "Visibility" -> "Third-Party Sharing" and turn on "Prevent third-party sharing for [blog]". (This post shows how to do it on browser and on mobile.) You need to do this with every sideblog. (Note: The option in settings might not appear if your app hasn't updated yet. You can still opt out via browser.)
There's a YouTube channel called Zauret Records. They put out "full albums" from whatever year (70s-80s) and under a fake artist's name, however, all the music is AI generated. Granted, they do admit it's fictional, but nowhere on the channel do they mention AI, so unless you go to their Instagram or Twitter, you will see no mention of AI. What's worse is they constantly pull in thousands of views. Please, whenever you find an artist/band, make sure you can find search results related to them from before 2023, or can in some other way verify that they are, in fact, human. Please reblog with any other YouTube channels or any kind of internet anything like Zauret Records so we all know who to stay away from.
Okay, I need to talk about this.
I am currently a history student studying British politics in the last half of the 20th century, and, in this course, you learn how to analyse a source. A source. This means a photograph, newspaper, extract of a speech, etc. From that time period.
I’m British myself, so this is an A-Level course (a specialisation where you choose 3/4 subjects to study over 2 years), so you’d think they’d be fairly serious about this kind of stuff.
Except, after learning about a reaction to problems in Ireland, we were given a source, and the preface from our professor was that this source, was AI generated.
As in they AI generated something for us to learn and extrapolate information from.
They passed off an AI source as a genuine thing in order to manipulate the information we would learn from it.
React to this how you will, but, personally, I think that is fucking dangerous.
Nothing aggravates me more than the ‘Ask app not to track’ notification, because WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO ASK??? I’m not knocking gently on the door, pushing it open, and saying ‘ummmm… can you maybe not take all of my data and analytics and make me feel like less of a person and more of an opportunity for capitalism?…. no…? Okay, sorry for bothering you.’ NO! I want them to NOT TRACK ME.
Fem Lucifer in this…
